For your safety
Before use, read these instructions carefully in order to become familiar with important safety and operating instructions for this appliance.
If the instructions for correct use of the appliance are not observed, the manufacturer's liability for any resulting damage will be excluded. This appliance is designed for processing normal household quantities in the home or similar quantities in non-industrial applications.
Non-industrial applications include e.g. use in employee kitchens in shops, offices, agricultural and other commercial businesses, as well as use by guests in boarding houses, small hotels and similar dwellings. Use the appliance for processing normal quantities of food for domestic use.
This appliance is suitable for mixing, kneading, beating, cutting and shredding food. Other applications are possible if the accessories approved by the manufacturer are used.
It must not be used for processing other objects or substances.
Use the appliance with original accessories only.
Please keep the operating instructions in a safe place.
If passing on the appliance to a third party, always include the operating instructions.

General safety instructions
Electric shock risk
The appliance must not be used by children. The appliance and its power cord must be kept away from children.
Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.
Children shall not play with the appliance.
Connect and operate the appliance only in accordance with the specifications on the rating plate. Do not use the appliance if the power cord and/or appliance are damaged.
Always disconnect the appliance from the supply if it is left unattended and before assembling, disassembling or cleaning.
Before replacing accessories or additional parts, which move during operation, switch off the appliance and disconnect from the power supply.
Do not place the power cord over sharp edges or hot surfaces.
To prevent injury, a damaged power cord must be replaced by the manufacturer or his customer service or a similarly qualified person.
Only our customer service may repair the appliance.
Safety instructions for this appliance
Risk of injury
Electric shock risk
If the power is interrupted, the appliance remains switched on and restarts when the power is restored.
Change accessories and tools only when the appliance is at a standstill (rotary switch on 0/off) and the mains plug has been pulled out.
Never immerse the base unit in liquids or place under running water and do not clean in the dishwasher.
Before rectifying a fault, pull out the mains plug.
Risk of injury from the rotating tools!
When operating the appliance, never place fingers in the bowl (even when the appliance has been switched off, the drive continues rotating briefly).
Change tools only when the drive is at a standstill.
Do not operate the appliance without the drive cover (blender drive).
Risk of injury from sharp blades!
Grip the chopping blade by the plastic handle only (top end).
Grip the cutting discs by the plastic handle only.
Risk of injury from sharp blender blades/rotating drive!
NEVER put fingers in the attached blender.
Before operating the appliance, always attach the lid.
Attach/replace the blender only when the appliance is at a standstill.
Risk of scalding!
If processing hot liquids, steam escapes through the funnel in the lid.
Add a max. 0.4 litres of hot liquid.

Base unit

Attach the appliance to a smooth and clean surface.
Bowl with accessories/tools

Attach and rotate as far as possible in a clockwise direction (lug on bowl in slot on base unit).

Attach lid (arrow on the lid on the arrow on the handle) and rotate as far as possible in a clockwise direction (lid lug in slot on base unit, arrows on lid and housing match up).

Remove the push block and add more ingredients.

Attach and rotate as far as possible in an anti-clockwise direction.

Attach and lock in position by rotating in an anti-clockwise direction.

Remove the funnel and add more ingredients.

Operation
Before operating the appliance and accessories for the first time, clean thoroughly; see "Cleaning and servicing".
Preparation
- Place the base unit on a smooth, clean surface. Do not cover ventilation slots.
- Insert the plug.
Bowl with accessories/tools

Risk of injury from the rotating tools!
When operating the appliance, never place fingers in the bowl (even when the appliance has been switched off, the drive continues rotating briefly). Change tools only when the drive is at a standstill. Do not operate the appliance without the drive cover (blender drive).
- Attach bowl (6) and rotate as far as possible in a clockwise direction (lug on bowl in slot on base unit).
- Insert tool (8/9) as described in the appropriate section. For tool selection see "Recipes/Ingredients/Processing".
- Add ingredients as described in the appropriate section. For selection see "Recipes/Ingredients/Processing".
- Attach lid (7a) (arrow on the lid on the arrow on the handle) and rotate as far as possible in a clockwise direction (lid lug in slot on base unit). The arrows must match up exactly as illustrated in the diagram.
- Select the desired setting with the rotary switch; see “Recipes/Ingredients/Processing”.
Appliance cannot be switched on until bowl and lid have been attached and locked (both lugs in slot on base unit, arrows on lid and housing match up).
Fly cutter
for cutting, chopping, kneading.

Risk of injury from sharp blades!
Grip the chopping blade by the plastic handle only (top end).
- Insert the chopping blade (8a).
- Add ingredients.
- Attach the lid (7a) and pusher (7c).
- Select the desired setting with the rotary switch (1); see “Recipes/Ingredients/Processing”.
- To add more ingredients, set the rotary switch to0.
- Remove the push block (7c) and add ingredients through the refill opening (7b).
Note: The longer the processing time, the smaller the food is cut or chopped.
Chopping disc
for cream, egg white, milk shakes.
- Insert chopping disc (8b).
- Add ingredients.
- Attach the lid (7a) and pusher (7c).
- Select the desired setting with the rotary switch (1); see “Recipes/Ingredients/Processing”.
- To add more ingredients, select Setting 1 with the rotary switch.
- Remove the push block (7c) and add ingredients through the refill opening (6b).
Cutting discs
- Reversible slicing disc (9b) e.g. for slicing cucumbers, cabbage, beetroot, kohlrabi.
- Reversible shredding disc (9c) e.g. for shredding carrots, celery.
- Chips cutting disc (9d) for shredding and slicing
- Chipper disc (9e) when inserting, note the location of the disc (see diagram).

Risk of injury from sharp blades!
Grip the cutting discs by the plastic handle only.

Warning! Blades may become blunt
Do not use the cutting discs for hard cheese (Parmesan), nuts or horseradish.
- Insert the disc holder (9a).
- Insert cutting disc (9b/9c/9d). The desired slicing/shredding side face up.
- Attach the cover (7a).
- Select the desired setting with the rotary switch; see "Recipes/Ingredients/Processing".
- Add food which is to be sliced or shredded (7b) and push down with the push block (7c), exerting a little pressure.
Note: Most types of food are processed on Setting 1; only hard foods are processed on Setting 2.
After using the appliance
- Turn switch to 0.
- Rotate the lid as far as possible in an anti-clockwise direction and remove.
- Rotate the bowl as far as possible in an anti-clockwise direction and remove.
- Remove tool.
Blender

Risk of injury from sharp blender blades/rotating drive!
NEVER put fingers in the attached blender. Before operating the appliance, always attach the lid. Before removing/attaching the blender, wait until the appliance has come to a standstill.

Risk of scalding!
If processing hot liquids, steam escapes through the funnel in the lid.
Add a max. 0.4 litres of hot liquid.

Warning!
Blender may be damaged.
Do not process frozen fruit or vegetables.
Do not operate the appliance at no-load.
Blending
Before operating the blender, attach the bowl (6) and lid (7a) and lock in position.
Take the tools out of the bowl!
- Attach the drive cover (2).
- Attach the blender jug (10) and rotate as far as possible in an anti-clockwise direction.
- Add ingredients; see "Recipes/Ingredients/Processing". Maximum capacity, liquid = 1 litres (frothing or hot liquids max. 0.4 litres). Optimum processing quantity of solid ingredients = 125 g.
- Attach the lid (11a) and lock into position by rotating in an anti-clockwise direction.
- Select the desired setting with the rotary switch; see “Recipes/Ingredients/Processing”.
After blending
- Turn switch to 0.
- Rotate the blender as far as possible in a clockwise direction and remove.
- Rotate the lid in a clockwise direction and remove.
Tip: It is recommended to clean the blender immediately after use see “Cleaning and servicing”.
Adding more ingredients
- Set the rotary switch to 0 (or as indicated in the recipe).
- Remove the lid (11a) and add the ingredients
or
- Remove the funnel from the lid and gradually add solid ingredients through the refill opening (11b).
or
- Pour liquid ingredients through the funnel (11c).
Troubleshooting
Fault
Appliance cannot be switched on.
Cause
Bowl or lid is not locked.
Remedial action
Attach and lock bowl/lid correctly.
Switch on appliance again.

Important information
If the fault cannot be eliminated, please contact customer service.
Cleaning and servicing

Risk of electric shock!
Never immerse the base unit in water or place under running water.

Warning!
Surfaces may be damaged.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents.
Cleaning the base unit
- Pull out the mains plug.
- Wipe the base unit with a damp cloth. If required, use a little detergent.
Cleaning the bowl and accessories

Risk of injury from sharp blades!
Grip the chopping blades and cutting discs by the plastic handle only.
All parts are dishwasher-proof.
Do not wedge plastic parts in the dishwasher as they could warp.
Insert the chopping blades with the opening pointing downwards, ensuring that the blades do not damage any other parts.
Shredding carrots, red cabbage or similar vegetables will cover the plastic parts in a red film which can be removed with a few drops of cooking oil.
Cleaning the blender

Risk of injury from sharp blades!
Do not touch blender blades with bare hands. Clean them with a brush.
It is recommended to clean the blender immediately after use. To prevent food from sticking and the plastic parts from corroding (e.g. due to oils in spices).
The lid and funnel are dishwasher-proof. Do not clean the blender jug in the dishwasher, but under running water (do not soak in water).
Storage
- Attach the drive cover (blender drive) (Fig. 2).
- Attach the bowl and accessories (Fig. 6).
- Stow the cord (Fig. 3).
Instructions on disposal

This appliance has been identified in accordance with the European directive 2012/19/EC on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment – WEEE.
The Directive paves the way for effective EU-wide withdrawal and utilization of waste appliances.
Please ask your dealer or inquire at your local authority about current means of disposal.
Warranty conditions
The guarantee conditions for this appliance are as defined by our representative in the country in which it is sold.
Details regarding these conditions can be obtained from the dealer from whom the appliance was purchased.
The bill of sale or receipt must be produced when making any claim under the terms of this guarantee.
