11 Automatic programmes

The automatic programmes help you to process food with the tools and to use accessories.

Sensors monitor processing of the ingredients and end it automatically once the preprogrammed consistency is reached.

For optimal results please note the following:

■ The beating whisk must touch the bowl lightly for the optimal mixing of ingredients and to ensure correct functioning of the automatic programmes.
→ "Correcting tool adjustment", Page 49
■ Before using the automatic programmes for the first time, operate your new appliance at no-load for at least 2 minutes or process food without an automatic programme.
■ Do not add any more food once an automatic programme has started.
■ Do not process ingredients that have already been processed once again with an automatic programme.
■ The age, temperature and constituents of the ingredients used will affect the time required and the result.
■ Only use fresh eggs. The automatic programme is not suitable for alternatives, e.g. aquafaba or protein powders.
■ It is only possible to make beaten egg white if the tool and bowl are clean and free of grease or residues from dishwasher detergent.
■ Only process cream that has been cooled to approx. 6 °C and has a fat content of 30-36%.

■ Cream that was previously frozen cannot be whipped.
■ For optimal results after selecting the programme "Whipped Cream" set the type of cream you are using. e.g. fresh cream, long-life cream, vegan cream or lactose-free cream.
■ Do not use bowls that are warm when whipping cream, e.g. directly out of the dishwasher.
■ Do not add sugar, flavourings or other additives for cream or beaten egg white until the automatic programme has ended.
■ Take note of the ingredients and quantities suggested.
■ The automatic programmes for dough will not function if it is too dry. Dough recipes need a sufficient quantity of liquid or moist ingredients.
■ The programme "Yeast dough and sourdough" interrupts kneading for approx. 15 minutes so the dough can prove. Another kneading process then starts automatically. Do not take the dough out until the end of the programme.
■ For the programmes "Cake mixture" and "Shortcrust pastry" heat the butter or margarine to room temperature and use in cubes 2 cm in size. Cold or frozen butter or margarine will not deliver the desired results. Leave shortcrust pastry to rest in the refrigerator before baking.
■ The programme "Cake mixture" is not suitable for very liquid consistencies, e.g. pancake batter.

Notes

■ If the processing result of the automatic programme does not meet your wishes, continue processing the ingredients manually until you get the desired result.
- Cream and egg white at setting 7
- Sponge cake mix at setting 4
- Other doughs/mixes at setting 3, e.g. yeast dough
■ If an accessory has been activated in the basic settings, it appears in the main menu and further automatic programmes are available.
