USER MANUAL Mutliride CHICCO

- WARNING: Never leave the child unattended.
- WARNING: Ensure that all the locking devices are engaged be- fore use.
- WARNING: To avoid injury ensure that the child is kept away when unfolding and folding this product.
- WARNING: Do not let the child play with this product.
- WARNING: Always use the re- straint system.
- The use of the crotch strap and safety harness is necessary to guarantee the safety of your child. Always use the safety harness com- plete with crotch strap.
- WARNING: Check that the seat unit or car seat attachment devices are correctly engaged before use.
- WARNING: This product is not suit- able for running or skating.
- Only CHICCO KAILY or CHICCO KIROS I-SIZE car seats with FAST IN fastening can be fastened to the MULTIRIDE stroller.
- The vehicle is suitable up to 22 kg or 4 years, whichever comes rst.
- It is recommended that the back- rest should be used in its most re- clined position for children from birth to 6 months of age.
- The parking device must always be engaged when your child is posi- tioned and removed.
- Use the parking device every time you stop.
- Never leave the stroller on a sloped surface, with a child on board, even when the brakes are on.
- For car seats used in conjunction with a chassis, this vehicle does not replace a cot or a bed. Should your child need to sleep, then it should be placed in a suitable pram body, cot or bed.
- Do not overload the storage bas- ket. Maximum weight 3 kg.
- Any additional load placed on the handle and/or on the backrest and/ or on the sides of the stroller will af- fect the stability of the stroller.
- Do not carry more than one child at a time.
- Do not use accessories, replace- ment parts, or any component not supplied or approved by the man- ufacturer / distributor.
- Do not use this product if any part is broken, torn or missing.
- Before assembly, ensure that the product and its components have not been damaged during trans- portation. In this case, do not use and keep out of reach of children.
- During adjustment operations, en- sure that the moving parts of the stroller do not come into contact12 with your child.
- Make sure that the person using the stroller knows how to operate it in the safest way.
- The product must only be assem- bled by an adult.
- This product must only be used by an adult.
- To avoid all strangulation hazards, never give children objects with cords or strings attached, or leave them close to such objects.
- Never use the stroller on staircases or escalators: you could suddenly loose control of it.
- Always pay attention when going up and down steps or pavements.
- If the stroller is left exposed to di- rect sunlight for an extended pe- riod of time, allow it to cool down before placing your child inside. Prolonged exposure to direct sun- light may cause the colour of the materials and fabric to fade.
- Prevent the stroller from coming into contact with salt water. It may cause rusting.
- Do not use the stroller on the beach.
- When not in use, the stroller should be kept out of reach of children.
TIPS FOR CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
WARNING: This product requires regular periodical mainte-
nance. The cleaning and maintenance of the product must only be carried out by an adult. CLEANING Clean the fabric parts using a wet terry towel and neutral soap. The stroller seat lining can be removed (please refer to the sec- tion “REMOVING SEAT LINING”). Please refer to the care labels for instructions on how to clean the fabric parts. The washing symbols and relative meanings are indicated below: Hand wash Do not bleach Do not tumble dry Do not iron Do not dry clean Routinely wipe clean plastic parts with a soft damp cloth. Never use solvents or abrasive products. To prevent the for- mation of rust, always dry metal parts if they have come into contact with water. MAINTENANCE If necessary, lubricate the moving parts with dry silicone lubri- cant. Regularly check the condition of the wheels and clean o all dust and sand. To avoid friction that may compromise the correct functioning of the stroller, make sure that all plastic parts that slide on the metal tubes are free of dust, dirt and sand. Keep the stroller in a dry place.

Please carefully read the instructions on the accessories/components available for the model pur- chased.
OPENING AND FIRST ASSEMBLY
1. Open the closing device (Fig. 1) and completely open the
stroller frame until you hear a click (Fig. 1A - 1B).
2. Fit the front wheel into the appropriate hole until you hear
a locking click (Fig. 2). Repeat the operation for the other front wheel.
3. Fit the rear wheel by inserting the pin in the dedicated hole
(Fig. 3). Repeat the same operation for the other rear wheel.
WARNING: Before use, ensure that the wheels are locked cor-
rod into the hole positioned under the handle (Fig. 4), attach the elastic strap to the hook (Fig. 4A) and slide the hood joint into position (Fig 4B). The rear fabric section of the hood can be fastened to the back of the seat using the velcro fasteners provided (Fig. 4C-4D).
WARNING: The canopy must be xed to both sides of the
stroller. Ensure that the hood is correctly secured into position.
5. To adjust the hood, pull and/or push it centrally (Fig. 5). The
hood can be extended by opening the zip (Fig. 5A-5B). To remove the hood from the frame, carry out the procedure shown in point 4 in the reverse order.
WARNING: Keep the hood out of reach of children when it
6. Insert the bumper bar in the dedicated slots until they click
into place (Fig. 6). To remove the bumper bar, press the two side buttons and pull towards you (Fig. 6A).
WARNING: Never use the bumper bar to lift the product with13
your child sitting in it.
STROLLER SAFETY HARNESS
7. This stroller has a ve-point safety harness featuring two
shoulder straps, two adjustment buckles, a waist strap and a crotch strap with buckle.
WARNING: To use it with children from birth to approx. 6
months of age, you must use the shoulder straps, rst thread- ing them through two adjusting holes (Fig. 7). fasten the straps by passing the waist clip (A) through the buckle on the shoulder strap (B), and secure in the crotch strap buckle (C) (Fig. 7A). Adjust the height of the shoulder straps so that they correctly t your child’s shoulders. Always make sure that the straps are fastened correctly. To unfasten the waist strap, press the central button and pull the side clips.
WARNING: After removal of the safety harness (e.g. for wash-
ing), ensure that the harness is reassembled correctly using the anchorage points. The harness must be re adjusted.
pull the lever and push the backrest into the desired posi- tion. To adjust the backrest, act on the rear adjustment sys- tem by pulling up the lever and pushing the backrest back (Fig. 8). To revert the backrest to the original position, follow the same steps but push the backrest forward.
WARNING: The child’s weight can make these operations
more dicult. REAR BRAKES The rear wheels have linked brakes, which can be applied si- multaneously on both rear wheels using one pedal only.
9. To apply the break, press the pedal next to the rear wheels
downwards (Fig. 9). To release the braking system, push the pedal upwards (Fig. 9A). SWIVEL WHEELS
10. To let the front wheels swivel, lift the lever found above
the front wheels (Fig. 10). Use the swivel wheels on smooth surfaces. To lock the wheels, lower the lever.
WARNING: The swivel wheels make the stroller easier to han-
dle; it is however recommended to use the wheels locked on uneven ground to guarantee better stability (on gravel, un- paved roads etc.).
WARNING: Both wheels must always be locked or unlocked
at the same time. ADJUSTABLE LEGREST The legrest can be adjusted to 2 positions.
11. To lower the legrest, pull the tube towards you and rotate it
downwards (Fig. 11 – 11A). To raise it, pull the tube towards you and push the legrest upwards. HANDLE ADJUSTMENT
12. The handle can be adjusted to 3 positions by pressing the
buttons at its base (Fig. 12).
CLOSING THE STROLLER
WARNING: When opening the stroller, ensure that your child and
any other children are at a safe distance. Make sure that during these operations the moving parts of the stroller do not come into contact with your child. Before closing the stroller, make sure that the storage basket is empty and the canopy is closed. The stroller has a closing device that can be used with one hand.
13. The stroller closing control is located under the seat cush-
ion. To close the stroller, raise the seat cushion, slide the locking device and then lift the handle (Fig. 13). The stroll- er will fold on itself (Fig. 13A). We recommend leaving the front wheels free while closing the stroller to achieve max- imum compactness.
REMOVING SEAT LINING
To remove the hood and bumper bar, refer to the “OPENING AND FIRST ASSEMBLY” paragraph and repeat the steps in re- verse order.
14. Open the safety harness and remove the waist straps and
crotch strap from the dedicated holes (Fig. 14-14A).
15. Detach the fabric on both sides of the stroller, removing it
from the plastic pins (Fig. 15) positioned under the handle.
16. Release the fabric from the plastic pins positioned under
from the backrest (Fig. 17A), paying attention to the back- rest adjustment lever. To t the lining on the stroller again, repeat the steps illustrated above in reverse order. BASKET If the basket is removed, follow the steps below for assembly.
18. Place the fabric ap on the rear tube and close the velcro
19. Secure the strap at the base of the rear legs and close it
with the velcro fastener (Fig. 19). Repeat this operation on the other side as well.
20. Fasten the back of the basket to the plastic pins positioned
on the rear legs (Fig. 20).
21. Fasten the sides of the basket to the same plastic pins, on top
of the fabric section attached previously (Fig. 21).
22. Complete fastening by passing the front straps through
the hole and secure using the snap buttons (Fig 22). USING THE CAR SEAT ON THE STROLLER On the Chicco Multiride stroller it is possible to t the following elements, which can be purchased separately:
- Kiros i-size car seat with Fast In fastening All car seats for use on the stroller require the special adaptors sold separately.
WARNING: Before using the stroller with the car seat, always
make sure that the fastening system is properly locked. When fastened to the stroller, the car seats listed above can be used for children from birth up to 13 kg in weight or until they are able to sit independently. To install the car seat, with the stroller open, fold the sun canopy, recline the backrest completely and remove the bumper bar.
WARNING: Never install the child car seat in the forward fac-
ing position. ACCESSORIES LEG COVER
23. The legrest must be inserted in the lower part in order to14
t the leg cover (Fig. 23). Then wrap the two bands around the bumper bar and fasten the buttons (Fig. 23A). For greater protection, you can lift the fabric leg cover ap and fasten the buttons on the side of the seat (Fig. 23B). RAIN COVER
24. Fasten the rain cover to the stroller in the areas indicated in
gure 24 and close the velcro fasteners at the back. When you have nished using the rain cover, allow it to dry prop- erly if it is wet.
WARNING: The rain cover cannot be used on the stroller with-
out hood, as it may cause suocation of the child.
WARNING: When the rain cover is tted on the stroller, never
leave it exposed to direct sunlight with your child inside, as the temperature will rise considerably. WARRANTY The product is guaranteed against any conformity defect in normal conditions of use as stated in the instructions. Therefore, the warranty does not apply in the case of damage caused by improper use, wear or accidental events. For the du- ration of warranty on conformity defects, please refer to the specic provisions of national laws applicable in the country of purchase, where provided.15
