How to clean the Acer CM2241W monitor screen?

Turn off the monitor and unplug the power cord. Spray a solvent-free cleaning solution on a soft cloth and gently clean the screen. Never spray liquid directly on the screen and do not use ammonia-based or alcohol-based products.

How to attach the monitor to its stand?

Remove the monitor from the packaging, attach the foot to the base (for some models), then rotate the foot clockwise to lock it. Ensure the base is securely fastened by turning the screw using the integrated tab or a coin.

What connections are available?

The monitor has HDMI and DisplayPort inputs (depending on model). It is also possible to connect USB devices via the USB 3.0 ports (optional).

How to adjust the height and tilt?

The monitor allows height adjustment from 0 to 120 mm, tilt from -5° to +25°, swivel (pivot) from -90° to +90°, and 360° rotation. Use the ergonomic base to adjust the screen to your working position.

What to do if the monitor does not turn on?

Check that the power cord is properly connected to the monitor and to a working electrical outlet. Ensure that the signal cable (HDMI or DP) is properly connected to the computer. If the power LED remains orange, the monitor is in standby; press the power button.

How to use the OSD menu?

Press the navigation/OK button to open the on-screen menu. Use the directional arrows to navigate between options such as brightness, contrast, image modes, etc. Press OK again to confirm.

What is the power consumption in standby?

In standby mode, the consumption is 0.2 W typical, which helps reduce energy consumption when the computer is off.

Is the monitor suitable for wall mounting?

Yes, the base is removable and the monitor is compatible with VESA mounts. You can remove the foot to mount the monitor on an articulating arm or wall mount.

What are the available image modes?

The monitor offers several preset modes such as Standard, Movie, Game, etc. You can also manually adjust brightness, contrast, color temperature, gamma, and use the ACM (dynamic contrast) and Blue Light functions to filter blue light.

How to enable Adaptive-Sync?

In the OSD menu, navigate to the Adaptive-Sync option and enable it. This function synchronizes the monitor's refresh rate with the graphics card to reduce screen tearing (compatible with Adaptive-Sync/FreeSync compatible graphics cards).

Important safety instructions

Please read the following instructions carefully.

1. To clean the LCD monitor screen: Be sure that your monitor is electrically rated to operate with the AC power available in your location.
2. Turn off the LCD monitor and unplug the power cord.
3. Spray a non-solvent cleaning solution onto a rag and clean the screen gently. NEVER SPRAY OR POUR ANY LIQUID DIRECTLY ONTO THE SCREEN OR CASE.
4. PLEASE DO NOT USE ANY AMMONIA OR ALCOHOL-BASED CLEANERS ON THE LCD DISPLAY SCREEN OR CASE.
5. Acer will not be liable for damage resulting from use of any ammonia or alcohol-based cleaners.
6. Do not place the LCD monitor near a window. Exposing the monitor to rain, moisture or sunlight can severely damage it.
7. Do not apply pressure to the LCD screen. Excessive pressure may cause permanent damage to the display.
8. Do not remove the cover or attempt to service this unit yourself. An authorized technician should perform servicing of any nature.
9. Store the LCD monitor in a room with a temperature of -20° to 60° C (-4° to 140° F). Storing the LCD monitor outside this range may result in permanent damage.
10. Immediately unplug your monitor and call an authorized technician if any of the following circumstances occur:

Monitor-to-PC signal cable is frayed or damaged. - Liquid spills onto the LCD monitor or the monitor is exposed to rain. The LCD monitor or case is damaged.

Attaching the monitor to the base

1. Remove the monitor from the packaging.
2. Attach the foot stand to the base. (for selected models)
3. Turn clockwise to lock. Ensure that the base is locked onto the stand. (for selected models)
4. Secure the base to the stand by turning the screw using the integrated tab or a suitable coin. (for selected models)

Connecting Your Monitor to a Computer

1. Turn off your monitor and unplug your computer's power cord.
2. 2-1 Connect HDMI Cable (Only HDMI-input model)

a. Make sure both the monitor and computer are powered-OFF. b. Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the back of the monitor and connect the other end to the computer's port.

2-2 Connect DP Cable (Only DP-input model)

a. Make sure both the monitor and computer are powered-OFF. b. Connect the DP cable to the computer.

1. Insert the monitor power cable into the power port at the back of the monitor.
2. Plug the power cords of your computer and your monitor into a nearby electrical outlet.
3. Select Power-off USB charge ON/OFF to enable/disable Power-off USB charge function. (Optional)

Acer LCD Monitor Quick Start Guide

Setting up the monitor on its base.

1. Remove the monitor from the packaging.
2. Connect the stand to the base (not for all models).
3. Turn clockwise to secure. Make sure the base is secured to the stand (not for all models).
4. Secure the base to the stand by turning the screw with a suitable screwdriver or coin (not for all models).

Connecting the monitor to your computer

1. Turn off the monitor and disconnect the power cord from the computer and the power outlet.
2. 2-1 Connect the HDMI cable (only for models with HDMI input)

a. Make sure the monitor and computer are turned off. b. Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the back of the monitor and the other end to the computer.

2-2 Connect the DP cable (only for models with DP input)

a. Make sure the monitor and computer are turned off. b. Connect the DP cable to the computer.

3. Connect the monitor power cable to the power port on the back of the device.

4. Connect the power cords of the computer and monitor to an electrical outlet. 5. Select "Charge via USB when power is on" to enable or disable the USB charging function when the power is on. (Purchased separately)

10. Immediately unplug all connectors from the screen and contact an authorized technician if any of the following situations occur:

For customers who own EPEAT-registered products, your product may contain batteries that are replaceable once they reach the end of their useful life.

For products that ship with accessories such as remote controls, keyboards, mice, etc., containing alkaline batteries (AA, AAA, etc.), please refer to your product user guide for instructions on how to replace those batteries. Alkaline replacement batteries are available off-the-shelf at any retail store that carries standard alkaline batteries. Please dispose of spent batteries in accordance with your local waste disposal laws.
