• Ifsmokeisobserved,switchoorunplugthe appliance and keep the door closed in order to stifle any flames.

• Microwaveheatingofbeveragescanresult indelayederuptiveboiling;thereforecare must be taken when handling the container. Dangerofburns!

• Thecontentsoffeedingbottlesandbaby foodjarsshallbestirredorshakenandthe temperaturecheckedbeforeconsumptionin order to avoid burns. Loosen the screw top andteatbeforeheating.

• Eggsintheirshellandwholehard-boiled eggs should not be heated in microwave ovenssincetheymayexplode,evenafter microwave heating has ended. Eggs may only be cooked in their shell in a specially designed egg-boilingdeviceavailablefromspecialist shops.

• Donotuseasteam-cleaningapplianceto clean this appliance. Steam could reach the electrical components and cause a short circuit.

• Theovenshouldbecleanedregularlyandany fooddepositsremoved(seeusermanual).

• Failuretomaintaintheoveninacleancondi- tioncouldleadtodeteriorationofthesurface thatcouldadverselyaectthelifeofthe appliance and possibly result in a hazardous situation.

• Donotusethisappliancetoreheatfood inheat-retainingbagsintendedfornormal ovens,suchasroastingbags.Suchheat- retainingbagsusuallycontainathinlayerof aluminumfoilthatreectsmicrowaves.This reectedenergycould,inturn,causethe outer paper covering to become so hot that it ignites.

• Donotusetheappliancefordeepfrying food.Donotleaveitunattendedwhencook- ingwithoilsandfatsasthesecanbeare hazardifallowedtooverheat.

• Donotusetheappliancetoheatuptheroom. Duetothehightemperaturesradiated,ob- jectsleftneartheappliancecouldcatchre.

• Whenusingkitchenappliancesconnectedto socketsneartheappliance,ensurethatthe supply cord cannot get trapped in a hot oven door. The hot oven door could melt the cord insulation and be dangerous.26

• Donotattempttooperatethisoven with the door open since open door operationcanresultinharmfulexposure to microwave energy. It is important nottodefeatortamperwiththesafety interlocks.

• Donotplaceanyobjectbetweenthe ovenfrontfaceandthedoororallow soil or cleaner residue to accumulate on sealingsurfaces.

• Donotoperatetheovenifitisdamaged. It is particularly important that the oven door closes properly and that there is no damage to the -door(bent), -hingesandlatches(brokenorloose), -doorsealinganditssurfaces.

• Theovenshouldnotbeadjustedor repaired by anyone except properly qualified service personnel.27

• Makesurethatallpackagingmaterials includingtapeareremovedfromthe door,cavity,touchpanelandaccessories.

• Donotplacetheovenwhereheat,mois- tureorhighhumidityaregenerated,or near combustible materials.

• Donotoperatetheovenwithoutturn- tablerollerontheshaftandglasstray proper position.

• Makesurethatthesupplycordisundam- aged and does not run under the oven or overanyhotorsharpsurface.

• Themainsplugmustbereadilyaccessi- ble so that it can be easily disconnected in an emergency. This appliance must be grounded. It is equipped with a plug with earth connec- tion,whichmustbepluggedintoaprop- erly installed and grounded wall outlet. It is recommended that a separate circuit servingonlytheovenbeprovided.High voltage is dangerous and may result in fire orotheraccidents,causingpropertydam- age or injuries.

• Microwavecannotpenetratemetal,sometal utensils or dishes with metallic trim should not be used.

• Donotuserecycledpaperproducts,asthey maycontainsmallmetalfragmentswhich maycausesparksand/orre.

• Useroundorovaldishesratherthansquare or oblong ones.

• Narrowstripsofaluminumfoilmaybeused topreventovercookingofexposedareas. Butbecarefulnottousetoomuchandto leaveadistanceof2.54cmbetweenfoiland cavity. Note Cookingresultsdependonfactorssuchas voltageuctuation,shapeandsizeoffood andevenhowwellthefoodisplacedin theoven.Iftheresultisnotsatisfactory, adjust the cooking duration accordingly. Whenoperatinginmode07,08or09,the ovenwillbeepandpauseafter2/3of cooking to remind the user to turn over foodforuniformcooking.Closedoorafter- wards and touch START/QUICK START to resume.33

• Turnotheovenandremovethemains plugfromthewallsocketbeforecleaning.

• Keepovencavityclean.Whenfoodsplattersor spilledliquidsadheretoovenwalls,wipewitha dampcloth.Milddetergentmaybeusedifthe ovengetsverydirty.Avoidtheuseofspraysand otherharshcleanersastheymaystain,streakor dullthedoorsurface.

• Failuretomaintaintheoveninacleancondition couldleadtodeteriorationofthesurface,which couldadverselyaectthelifeoftheapplianceand possibly result in a hazardous situation.

• Theoutsidesurfacesshouldbecleanedwitha damp cloth. Water should not be allowed to enter the oven vents.

• Wipethedoorandwindowonbothsides,thedoor sealsandadjacentpartsfrequentlywithadamp cloth to remove any spills or spatters. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

• Donotallowthecontrolpaneltobecomewet. Cleanwithasoft,dampcloth.Whencleaningthe controlpanel,leaveovendooropentoprevent ovenfromaccidentally turning on.

• Ifsteamaccumulatesinsideoraroundtheoutside oftheovendoor,wipewithasoftcloth.Thismay occur when the microwave oven is operated under high humidity condition. This is normal.

• Itisoccasionallynecessarytoremovetheglass trayforcleaning.Washthetrayinwarmsudsy water or in a dishwasher.

• Therollerringandovenoorshouldbecleaned regularly to avoid excessive noise. Simply wipe the bottomsurfaceoftheovenwithmilddetergent. The roller ring may be washed in mild sudsy water ordishwasher.Whenremovingtherollerringfrom cavityoorforcleaning,besuretoreplaceinthe proper position.

• Removeodorsfromyourovenbycombininga cupofwaterwiththejuiceandskinofonelemon inadeepmicrowave-safebowl;microwavefor5 minutes. Wipe cavity thoroughly and dry with a softcloth.
