Cleaning and care

Warning
The cleaning of the microwave is an important part of the safe handling of the appliance and prevents health risks.
Note:
- Before cleaning: Turn off the microwave and unplug the power cord.
- The appliance must be cleaned at regular intervals and leftovers must be removed. Failure to periodically clean the device may degrade the surface and greatly reduce its life. Incidentally, this could lead to limited safety and functionality of the device.
- If the door seal does not close properly due to accumulated food residues, microwave radiation can escape and harm your health.
- Clean the appliance after each use to prevent mold, vermin, and leakage of microwave radiation.
- Do not use a steam jet to clean the device! The steam is under pressure and it may condense on the electrical components inside the unit causing short circuits.
- Do not use coarse, abrasive cleaners or sharp metal scrapers as these may scratch the surface and cause the glass to jump.
Fig. 6
- Clean the housing with a slightly damp cloth. Make sure that no water penetrates into the device.
- Use a damp cloth for regular cleaning and carefully clean the door seal, the cooking chamber and all adjacent components. Remove food residues or spills with a damp cloth.
- The control panel and its controls must not get wet. Clean them only with a soft, damp cloth. When cleaning the control panel, leave the door open to prevent an accidental start.
- If steam is condensing or dripping inside the microwave or on the cabinet, wipe it off with a soft cloth. Condensation can occur when moist air hits a cold surface. At very high temperatures, oil and grease can evaporate and deposit as a greasy film after cooling.
Fig. 7
- The glass plate can be removed for cleaning. Clean the plate in warm soapy water or in a dishwasher.
- The turntable roller and the cooking chamber floor should be cleaned regularly to prevent excessive noise. Use a mild detergent to wipe the surface and let it dry. If the turntable roller has been removed for cleaning, be sure to reinstall it properly before using it again. To remove dirt, periodically clean the door, window and gasket with a damp cloth.
