Frequently Asked Questions - DT20 BOSCH

How to set the time and date on the DT20 thermostat?

Press the Menu button until the cursor is above the clock. Then, set the time using the + and OK buttons, then confirm. For the date, press Menu again to select the year, month, and day.

How to program the heating times?

Press Menu until you reach the calendar symbol. Select the day group (1-5 for weekdays, 6-7 for weekends). Set the start and stop times for each time slot (max 3 per day). Confirm with OK.

What does the auto symbol on the screen mean?

The auto mode means the thermostat follows the time programs you have set for heating and hot water. All switching times are active automatically.

How to activate holiday mode?

Press Menu until the suitcase symbol. Use the + and OK buttons to enter the number of days of absence (max 99). The thermostat switches to reduced mode. At midnight after the period, it returns to auto mode.

What to do if the thermostat stops responding?

Perform a reset by pressing the Menu and OK buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds. The time and date are preserved. If the problem persists, cut off the 230 V power supply for a few minutes and then restore it.

How to switch between heating and hot water mode?

The DT20 thermostat automatically manages both channels according to the programs. To change manually, press the Mode button to choose between auto, permanent, or off mode for each channel via the selection menu.

Is the thermostat compatible with my boiler?

The DT20 is compatible only with Bosch boilers equipped with a Heatronic 3 control. Check the rating plate of your boiler before purchase or installation.

How to set the automatic summer/winter switching?

Press Menu until the clock symbol, then press OK three times until 'dLS' appears. Use +/- to enable (C on) or disable (C off) the automatic switching.

What to do if the screen shows nothing?

Check that the 24 V DC power supply is present (nominal voltage 24 V). If the screen remains black, perform a reset. If no result, contact a certified Bosch installer.

How to clean the thermostat?

Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the screen and casing. Never use chemical products, sprays, or liquids. Make sure the device is powered off before cleaning.

2 Installation

Danger: risk of electric shock!

Before installing, disconnect the mains electricity supply (230 V AC).

For a detailed description of the parts of the appliance, see the installation manual for the heater.
Connect and install the accessory item as shown in Figures 2 to 5 on page 103.

3 Operation

3.1 Buttons and symbols (Figure 1, on page 102)

3.2 Programming

For base setting see page 105; to restore the factory settings:

To exit settings:

Press repeatedly or do not press any button for approx. 60 seconds.

3.2.1 Setting the clock and date

3.2.2 Daylight saving

Press until the bar in the display shows above the symbol.

3.2.3 Setting the timed periods

Setting options:

Max. 3 timed periods per day

• Same times for groups of days or different times for each day
  Possible day groupings:

• Monday to Friday (1-5)

• Saturday and Sunday (6-7)

The smallest timed period is one minute

Deactivate timed periods you do not need by making the switch-on and switch-off points the same.

Press until the bar in the display shows above the symbol.
Press, which will display the first group 1-5: select the desired group/day with set? (1-5/1,2,...5/6-7/6,7).

3.2.4 Changing the operating mode

Press the select button to choose the operating mode auto/for operating modes, see section 3.1).

3.2.5 Setting holidays

Press until the bar in the display shows above the symbol.
