How to assemble the glass blender?

Install the seal ring on the blade holder unit, screw the unit onto the jug, add the ingredients, secure the lid with the filler cap, then place the blender on the motor unit by turning clockwise.

How to use the Pulse (P) function?

The Pulse function operates the motor in on/off mode as long as you hold the button. Ideal for crushing ice or achieving a coarse texture.

The blender does not start, what to do?

First check the electrical supply. Make sure the bowl or mill is correctly assembled and locked onto the motor unit. The appliance will not operate if assembly is incorrect.

How to clean the blender blades?

Disassemble the blade holder unit, remove the seal ring, then brush the blades with warm soapy water without immersing the unit. Rinse thoroughly and leave to dry upside down.

What is the maximum capacity of the blender bowl?

The maximum capacity is indicated on the jug: for thick mixtures, up to 1 litre, for liquids, up to 800 ml. Never exceed the maximum capacity.

Can you blend hot ingredients?

Yes, for soups you can blend hot ingredients. Allow to cool to room temperature before placing in the baby food mill. Avoid blending hot spices.

How to use the multi-function mill?

Fill the jar halfway, install the seal ring on the blade holder unit, place the unit blades down, screw onto the jar, then attach the mill to the motor unit by turning clockwise.

The blender leaks from the bottom, what to check?

Check that the seal ring is present, correctly installed in its groove and undamaged. If necessary, replace the seal. A missing or incorrectly positioned seal causes leaks.

How to store the power cord?

The cord is stored in a compartment under the motor unit. Wind it carefully before storing.

Is it possible to blend ice?

Yes, use the Pulse function with short bursts. For the blender, add up to 6 ice cubes (125 g). For Blend-Xtract2Go, limit to 60 g or 3 ice cubes with liquid.

To Use Your Blender

Refer to Illustrations A & B. Use your blender for soups, drinks, pâtés, mayonnaise, breadcrumbs, biscuit crumbs, chopping nuts, and crushing ice.

1. Fit the blender sealing ring into the blender blade unit, ensuring the seal is located correctly in the grooved area. Leaking will occur if the seal is damaged or incorrectly fitted.

2. Screw the blade assembly onto the goblet, ensuring the blade assembly is fully tightened. Refer to the graphics on the underside of the blade unit as follows:

Fit the filler cap to the lid and push down to secure.

5 Place the blender onto the power unit and turn clockwise to lock. - The appliance will not work if the blender is incorrectly fitted. 6 Select a speed (refer to the Recommended Usage).

Hints and Tips

• Glass Blender - To blend dry ingredients - cut into pieces, remove the filler cap, then with the machine running, drop the pieces down one by one. Keep your hand over the opening. For best results empty regularly.
• The processing of spices is not recommended as they may damage the plastic parts.
• When making mayonnaise, put all the ingredients, except the oil, into the blender.

Glass Blender - Remove the filler cap.

Plastic Blender - Pour through the drip feed in the lid.

Then, with the appliance running, add the oil slowly through the hole in the lid.

• Thick mixtures, e.g. pâtés and dips, may need scraping down. If the mixture is difficult to process, add more liquid.

Blend-Xtract 2GO (if supplied)

1 Add ingredients to the bottle up to the 400ml level mark. - For best blending performance always add ice/ frozen ingredients to the bottle first. - When adding frozen ingredients (i.e. frozen fruit, yoghurt, ice cream or ice) do not blend more than 60g or 3 ice cubes. - Do not blend frozen ingredients without liquid.

2 Fit the sealing ring to the blade unit, ensuring the seal is located correctly in the grooved area. Then clip to the base.

• Leaking will occur if the seal is damaged or incorrectly fitted.

3 Hold the underside of the blade unit and lower it onto the bottle, blades down. 4 Screw the blade assembly onto the bottle. Refer to the graphics on the underside of the blade unit as follows:

• Shake to disperse the ingredients.
• Place the blender onto the power unit and turn clockwise to lock.

5 Select maximum speed. Allow the ingredients to blend until smooth.

• Once your drink has reached the desired consistency, you can use the pulse 'P' to ensure all ingredients are thoroughly blended.

Using the drinking lid

1 Fit and lock the lid by turning clockwise.

2 When you want to drink,

simply flip open the lid cover. The drink can be consumed straight from the bottle.

Hints and Tips

• Note that when the bottle is filled to max capacity (400ml), this is approximately two servings.
• Ensure your drink is thin enough to be able to drink from the dispensing lid. To make a thinner drink add more liquid.
• After blending, some drinks may not be completely smooth due to seeds or the fibrous nature of ingredients.
• When drinking through the lid, take care that the drink is smooth and fully processed. Some experimentation may be necessary when processing firm or unripe ingredient to achieve the desired result.
• Some drinks may separate on standing, therefore it is best to drink them straight away or stir before drinking.
• When the dispensing lid is fitted always keep the bottle upright.

Use your multi mill for nuts, coffee beans and purees.

1 Put your ingredients into the jar. Fill it no more than half full. 2 Fit the multi mill sealing ring into the multi mill blade unit - ensuring the seal is located correctly in the grooved area. - Leaking will occur if the seal is damaged or incorrectly fitted. 3 Turn the blade unit upside down. Lower it into the jar, blades down. Refer to the graphics on the underside of the blade unit as follows:

1. Place your ingredients into the blade assembly. 2. Fit the lid and turn anticlockwise to lock. 3. Place the mill onto the power unit and lock by turning clockwise until you hear a "click". 4. Select a speed or use the pulse (P) control (refer to Recommended usage).

Hints and Tips

• For optimum performance when processing spices, we recommend that you do not process more than 40g at a time in the mill.
• Whole spices retain their flavour for a much longer time than ground spices, so it is best to grind a small quantity fresh at a time to retain the flavour.
• To release the maximum flavour and essential oils, whole spices are best roasted prior to milling.
• Baby food/purees - allow cooked food to cool to room temperature before processing in the mill.

Always switch off, unplug and dismantle before cleaning. - Empty the goblet before unscrewing it from the blade unit. - Do not immerse the blade unit in water.

Power unit

• Wipe with a damp cloth, then dry.
• Do not immerse the power unit in water.
• Store excess cord in the storage area on the underside of the power unit.

Blender and Multi Mill blade assembly

• Remove the blade unit from the goblet or mill by turning to the unlock position to release.

Grinding and grating mills

• Remove the lid from the blade assembly by turning it clockwise.

1. Blender/multi mill: remove and wash the sealing ring. 2. Do not touch the sharp blades - brush them clean using hot soapy water, then rinse thoroughly under the tap. Do not immerse the blade unit in water. 3. Leave to dry upside down.

Troubleshooting guide

Carrot and Coriander Soup

25g butter

50g onion, chopped

1 clove garlic, crushed

400g carrot, cut into 1 1/2 cm cubes, cold chicken stock

10-15ml (2-3 tsp) ground

1. Melt the butter in a pan, add the onion and garlic and fry until soft.

2. Place the carrot into the blender, add the onion and garlic. Add sufficient stock to reach the 1000ml level marked on the goblet. Fit the lid and filler cap. 3. Blend on maximum speed for 5 seconds for a coarse soup or longer for a finer result. 4. Season and simmer the soup for 30-35 minutes or until cooked. Add extra liquid if required.

Blend-Xtract 2GO (3a

1. Pour les ingrédients dans le bol, ne versez pas plus de 400 ml.
