Replace the charcoal filter(s) when necessary to maintain a good odor reduction efficiency. Clean the grease filter(s) when necessary to maintain a good grease filter efficiency. Use the maximum diameter of the ducting system indicated in this manual to optimize efficiency and minimize noise.
Use
The hood has been made for use in the internal recirculating filtering version.
Cooking fumes and steam are aspirated inside the hood, filtered and cleaned, passing through the fat filter/s and the carbon filter/s that MUST be supplied with the hood.
Installation
The minimum distance between the supporting surface for the cooking equipment on the hob and the lowest part of the range hood must be not less than 50 cm from electric cookers and 70 cm from gas or mixed cookers.
If the instructions for installation for the gas hob specify a greater distance, this must be adhered to.
The mains power supply must correspond to the rating indicated on the plate situated inside the hood. If provided with a plug, connect the hood to a socket in compliance with current regulations and positioned in an accessible area, after installation. If it is not fitted with a plug (direct mains connection) or if the plug is not located in an accessible area, after installation, apply a double pole switch in accordance with
standards which assures the complete disconnection of the mains under conditions relating to over-current category III, in accordance with installation instructions.
WARNING!
Before re-connecting the hood circuit to the mains supply and checking the efficient function, always check that the mains cable is correctly assembled.
Warning! Detail B (fixing bracket to the ceiling) is equipped with a conductor (yellow-green) that must be connected to the earth of the domestic electrical plant. Fig. 12
Operation
The hood is fitted with a control panel with aspiration speed selection control and a light switch to control cooking area lights.
To select the functions of the hood just touch the commands.

Light key ON/OFF

Intensive speed selection key (suction power) - duration 5 minutes: the hood sets this power and at the end of the 5 minutes returns to the previous setting.

High-speed selection key (suction power).

Medium-speed selection key (suction power) - when flashing it indicates the need to wash or replace the carbon filter. This signal is normally deactivated. To activate the alarm, disable the electronic by pressing the 0 button for 3 seconds.
Next, simultaneously press buttons 1 and 2 for 3 seconds; at first, only button 1 will flash, then both buttons 1 and 2 will flash to indicate activation. Repeat the procedure to deactivate the alarm; at first buttons 1 and 2 will flash and subsequently only button 1 to indicate deactivation.

Low-speed selection key (suction power) - when flashing it indicates the need to wash the fats filter.

Motor key OFF (stand by) - excludes the electronics - reset wash/replace filters signals. MOTOR OFF
Press briefly to switch the motor off.
RESET FILTERS SIGNALS
In functioning mode, after carrying out filter maintenance, press the key until hearing the sound signal. The flashing LED 1 (grease filter)
or 2 (carbon filter) stops flashing.
EXCLUDING THE ELECTRONICS
Press the key for 3 seconds. The hood command electronics will be excluded.
This function can be useful during the product cleaning operations.

Maintenance
Clean using ONLY a cloth dampened with neutral liquid detergent. DO NOT CLEAN WITH TOOLS OR INSTRUMENTS. Do not use abrasive products. DO NOT USE ALCOHOL!
Grease filter
Fig. 19-23
The grease filter must be cleaned once a month using non aggressive detergents, either by hand or in the dishwasher, which must be set to a low temperature and a short cycle. When washed in a dishwasher, the grease filter may discolor slightly, but this does not affect its filtering capacity.
Charcoal filter (filter version only)
Fig. 22
The charcoal filter can be washed once every two months (or when the filter saturation indication system – if envisaged on the model in possession – indicates this necessity) using hot water and a suitable detergent, or in a dishwasher at 65°C (if the dishwasher is used, select the full cycle function and leave dishes out).
Eliminate excess water without damaging the filter, then put it in the oven for 10 minutes at 100°C to dry completely. Replace the mattress every 3 years and when the cloth is damaged.
Replacing lamps
The hood is equipped with a lighting system based on LED technology.
The LEDs guarantee an optimum lighting, a duration up to 10 times as long as the traditional lamps and allow to save 90% electrical energy.
To replace lights, contact authorised spare part center.
The air volumes indicated in this manual are intended to optimize efficiency and minimize noise levels.
Operation
The extractor hood has been designed for operation during the time the air is being regulated.
Cooking fumes and vapors extracted inside the appliance must not be discharged into the flue; they must be filtered through the grease filters and charcoal filters with which the hood must be equipped.
Installation
The distance between the lower edge of the hob and the flat bottom of the hood must be no less than 50 cm for electric hobs, and no less than 70 cm for gas or combination hobs.
If the installation instructions for the gas hob specify a greater distance, take this into account.
The mains voltage must correspond to the voltage indicated on the technical data plate located inside the appliance. If the hood is supplied with a plug, connect it to a suitable socket. It must comply with current regulations and be located in an accessible place. The socket can be switched on after installation. If the hood is not supplied with a plug (direct connection to the mains), or if the socket is not located in an accessible place, also after installation, use a bipolar switch that ensures complete disconnection from the mains in case of overvoltage category III, in accordance with installation instructions.
WARNING!
Before connecting the hood to the electrical system and checking its proper functioning, make sure that the power cable is correctly installed.
WARNING! Part B (bracket for fixing to the ceiling) is supplied with a conductor (yellow-green) to be connected to the earth terminal of the entire household electrical installation. Fig. 12
Operation
The hood is equipped with a control panel for adjusting the suction speed and switching on the light for illuminating the cooking surface.

If it does not disappear, contact the technical support center.
Care
For cleaning, use only a special cloth moistened with a neutral liquid detergent. Do not use any tools for cleaning. Do not use products containing abrasive materials. Do not use alcohol!
Dust filters
Fig. 19-23
The filter should be cleaned regularly with non-abrasive detergents, by hand or in a dishwasher at low temperature and economical cycle.
When washing in a dishwasher, some discoloration of the pre-filter may occur, but its filtering characteristics remain absolutely unchanged.
Coal filter (only for models with recirculation) Fig. 22
The coal filter should be washed every two months, and every time the filter saturation analysis system (if your model is equipped with option E0) indicates this need. Wash the filter in warm water with suitable detergents or in a dishwasher at a temperature of 65°C (in the latter case, perform a full wash cycle without dishes inside the machine).
Remove the filter carefully to avoid damaging it, then let the filter dry completely in a dryer for 10 minutes at a temperature of 100°C.
Replace the filter element every 3 years and every time damage to the fabric is detected.
Replacing the lamps
The hood is equipped with LED lighting. LEDs provide optimal illumination, their service life is 10 times longer than traditional bulbs, and they allow saving 90% of electrical energy.
For replacing the LED lamp, contact an authorized service center.
