For proper operation and to reduce impact on the environment: Turn the hood to the minimum speed during cooking and leave it running for a few minutes after cooking is finished. Increase the speed only when there is a large amount of smoke and steam, and use the boost speed only in extreme cases. To maintain high filtration efficiency, replace the charcoal filter(s) as needed. To maintain high efficiency of the grease filter, clean the grease filter(s) as needed. Use the maximum diameter of the ducting system as indicated in the instructions to optimize efficiency and minimize

Use

The hood is designed for use in extraction mode, venting air outside, or in filter mode with air recirculation.

ELICA KUADRA - Use - 1

Installation Options

The hood is vented outside through an exhaust pipe connected to the flange.

ELICA KUADRA - Installation Options - 1

WARNING!

The exhaust pipe is not supplied and must be purchased separately.

The diameter of the exhaust pipe must match the diameter of the connection ring.

ELICA KUADRA - WARNING! - 1

WARNING!

If the hood is equipped with charcoal filters, they must be removed.

Connect the exhaust pipe and the exhaust outlet with the same diameter as the air inlet (connection flange).

The use of flexible pipes and bends with a smaller diameter leads to a change in the efficiency of the hood and a significant increase in noise level.

Therefore, we disclaim any liability for the above.

! Use the exhaust duct as short as possible. ! Use the exhaust duct with the minimum number of bends (maximum bend angle: 90°). ! Avoid sharp changes in the cross-section of the exhaust duct.

ELICA KUADRA - WARNING! - 1

Version with recirculation

The extracted air is purified and returned to the room. To use the hood in this mode, it is necessary to install a carbon filter system.

Installation

The distance from the lower part of the hood to the cooking surface must be at least 50 cm for electric hobs, and 65 cm for gas or combined hobs.

It is necessary to take into account the distances specified in the installation instructions for the gas hob.

ELICA KUADRA - Installation - 1

Electrical connection

The voltage in the electrical network must correspond to the characteristics indicated on the label inside the hood. If the hood is equipped with a plug for the electrical network, connect the hood to a socket that complies with current standards and is accessible, so that the plug can be disconnected after installation. If the hood is not equipped with a plug (direct connection to the electrical network) or the socket is not accessible, install a reliable two-pole switch that ensures complete disconnection from the network in case of overvoltage category III, in full compliance with installation rules.

ELICA KUADRA - Electrical connection - 1

WARNING!

Before reconnecting the hood to the electrical network, check the correctness of the work, make sure that the electrical network was installed correctly.

The hood's plug has a special grounding wire; in case of wire damage, replace it at a technical service center.

Installation

In the kit for wall or ceiling mounting, the calculation of the number of fasteners is included. However, it is necessary to consult a qualified technician to check the suitability of the materials depending on the type of wall or ceiling. The wall/ceiling must be strong enough to support the weight of the hood.
