To replace and maintain the filters of your ELICA BLOOM, BLOOM-S or BLOOM-S DEKT/A/85 hood, you must first unplug the hood from the power supply by removing the plug or turning off the main switch. Wear work gloves for all maintenance operations.

Grease filter (anti-grease): This filter should be cleaned once a month or when the saturation indicator shows (flashing LED light). To remove it, pull the spring-loaded release latch located on the filter. The grease filter can be cleaned manually or in the dishwasher at low temperature with a short cycle. Washing in the dishwasher may discolor it, but its filtering characteristics remain unchanged. Once cleaned and dried, replace it by firmly inserting the filter until the latch clicks into place.

Active carbon filter (filtering version only): Unlike the grease filter, this filter cannot be washed and must be replaced, generally every 4 months at most or according to the saturation indicator of your model (alternating LED light). The carbon filter is circular in shape and must be applied one on each side, covering each airflow grid.

Filter saturation indicators: Your hood has an alert system. Upon turning it on, observe the LED light (L1) during the first 10 seconds: a flash indicates that the grease filter needs cleaning, while an alternating light sequence indicates that the carbon filter needs replacing. To reset the indicators after maintenance, press and hold the appropriate control button until the beep sounds.

After replacing the filters, plug the hood back in and test it to ensure proper operation. Important: Never remove the filters while cooking, and strictly adhere to the maintenance schedule, as failing to comply with filter cleaning standards poses fire risks.
