This symbol indicates that waste electrical and electronic equipment (including batteries and storage cells) cannot be disposed of with other types of waste. Waste equipment should be collected and handed over separately to a collection point for recycling and recovery, in order to reduce the amount of waste and the use of natural resources. Uncontrolled release of hazardous components contained in electrical and electronic equipment may pose a risk to human health and have adverse effects for the environment. The household plays an important role in contributing to reuse and recovery, including recycling of waste equipment. For more information about the appropriate recycling methods, contact your local authority or retailer.
The electronic battery tester is a portable device that is easy to use starter battery and battery charging system tester with rated voltage of 12 V. The device is always ready for operation because the power supply is taken directly from the tested battery. The correct, reliable, and safe operation of the device depends on its proper use, therefore:
Read the entire instructions manual before the first use of the product and keep it for future reference.
The supplier shall not be held liable for any damage resulting from failure to observe the safety regulations and recommendations specified in this instructions manual. Use of the product for purposes other than those for which it was intended shall cause the loss of the user's rights to the guarantee and under warranty.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Keep your work environment safe. The workplace should be well lit. Make sure you have enough room to move freely in the work area. Keep your work environment free from obstacles, grease, oil, rubbish and other waste.
EN
The device is not resistant to flooding and is designed for indoor use. Do not expose the device to water, precipitation or other liquids.
Check the product's rating label for important information. If the label is missing or is illegible, ask the manufacturer for a replacement.
Avoid contact with all hot engine parts, otherwise you could get burned.
Avoid causing accidental fires or explosions. Do not smoke and do not keep open fire sources near fuel, engine and battery.
Working in the vicinity of lead-acid batteries can be dangerous as they produce potentially explosive gases. Read and follow the instructions manual supplied with the battery to minimise the risk.
Avoid contact with the electrolyte, which is a highly corrosive sulphuric acid that will cause burns in the event of contact with the body.
The place of battery testing must be well ventilated.
The warnings, precautions and instructions described above may not cover all possible conditions and situations which may occur. The operators must understand that common sense and caution are factors which cannot be built into the equipment, but they must provide them themselves.
PREPARING FOR OPERATION
Before starting work, check the documentation supplied with the battery or contact the battery manufacturer to get information about the following parameters that should be then entered into the tester during the test procedure.
Type of battery to be tested: lead-acid (so-called wet), VRLA or AGM.
CCA (Cold Cranking Amperes) value - cold cranking amperes.
Cranking amperes standard: EN – European standard, SAE – American standard, DIN – German standard, IEC – International Electrotechnical Commission standard, CA (MCA) – cranking amperes.
Check the polarity of battery terminals. A red cable usually connects the starter to the positive (+) pole of the battery and a black cable connects the car body to the negative (-) pole of the battery. If in doubt, refer to the documentation supplied with the car or battery, or contact the battery or car manufacturer.
Make sure the battery terminals are clean, free of patina and other contaminants. If necessary, clean them with a wire brush.
TEST PROCEDURE
The test procedure can be carried out for both the battery installed in the car and the removed battery.
Caution! When testing a battery installed in the car, turn the ignition off and make sure that all loads are disconnected. Close all car doors and boot lid.
Connect the red tester clamp marked with “+” with positive battery terminal. Connect the black tester clamp marked with “-” with negative battery terminal or element of the car body to which the negative battery terminal is connected if testing the battery installed in the car. The tester screen illuminates and displays the main menu. Use the up, down arrows to navigate through the device’s menus, the ENTER button to confirm or the return button to go back to the previous menu.

Description of main menu functions
Quick Test – quick battery test function
Battery in Vehicle – test function for the battery installed in the vehicle, starter test, alternator test
Out of Vehicle – disconnected battery test function
Voltometer – voltmeter, displays battery voltage in real time
Reviewed Data – this function displays the last memorised battery test results
System Setup – tester settings
Quick battery test: select from the menu item: "Quick Test" then enter the rated capacity of the battery in the range 30-220 Ah and confirm it. The tester will display the test results.
GOOD BATTERY (battery OK), GOOD RECHARGE (battery OK, charge), REPLACE (battery worn out, replacement recommended), BAD CELL, REPLACE (battery defective, replace), CHARGE-RETEST (unstable battery operation, charge and retest).
Test of the battery installed in the vehicle: select from the menu item: "Battery in Vehicle" then "Battery Test" and select using the arrows the type of battery to be tested and confirm. After approximately 5 seconds, the tester will display the test results.
GOOD BATTERY (battery OK), GOOD RECHARGE (battery OK, charge), REPLACE (battery worn out, replacement recommended), BAD CELL, REPLACE (battery defective, replace), CHARGE-RETEST (unstable battery operation, charge and retest).
Starter test: select “Battery in Vehicle” from the menu item, then “Cranking Test”, confirm, then start the vehicle engine, the tester will automatically complete the starting test and display the result (usually if the starting voltage value is below 9.6 V it is considered incorrect).
Alternator test: Select from the menu item “Battery in Vehicle” then “Charging test” then follow the instructions on the tester display: step 1. Turn off lights and air conditioning for 10 seconds, press ENTER to continue. 2. Turn off all equipment and rev the engine 2500-3000 rpm for 10 seconds, press ENTER to continue. 3. Turn the lights and air conditioning on to max level, keeping the engine idling for 10 seconds, press ENTER to continue. Once the test is complete, the tester displays the voltage and charge test results: NORMAL (normal result), NO OUTPUT (no charging, check alternator or contact service).
Disconnected battery test: Select “Out of Vehicle” from the menu item then use the arrows to select the type of battery to be tested, confirm. After approximately 5 seconds, the tester will display the test results.

DEVICE MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
Clean the tester housing with a slightly damp cloth (water) and wipe it dry. Never immerse the tester in water or other liquids. Keep the tester clamps clean. If there are signs of corrosion or patina, clean the metal parts with a cleaning agent for the copper electrical terminals. Store the tester separately so that it is not exposed to impacts, e.g. from other tools in the toolbox. The storage area should be shaded and well-ventilated. It should also protect against unauthorised access, especially by children.
