Frequently Asked Questions - HT-SB121 SHARP

How to connect my Sharp HT-SB121 soundbar via Bluetooth?
Press the Source button to select Bluetooth. The LED turns blue and flashes. Enable Bluetooth on your device and search for 'SHARP HT-SB121' or 'SHARP HT-SB123' in the list. Select it to pair. Once connected, the LED becomes solid blue.
How to use the HDMI ARC function?
Connect an HDMI cable (version 1.4 or higher) from the HDMI ARC port of the soundbar to the HDMI ARC port of your TV. Make sure HDMI-CEC and ARC functions are enabled in your TV settings. You can then control the volume with your TV remote.
What to do if the soundbar produces no sound?
First check that the correct source is selected (HDMI, Optical, Bluetooth, etc.). Increase the volume and make sure the sound is not muted (Mute button). Check connections, especially the HDMI cable if using ARC. If the sound comes from a digital source, set your TV's audio output to PCM.
How to perform a factory reset?
Simultaneously press and hold the + and - (volume) buttons on the soundbar for about 5 seconds. The device will return to standby mode after reset.
The remote control does not work, what to do?
Check that the battery is correctly inserted (respect the +/- polarities). Replace the battery if necessary. Reduce the distance between the remote and the device. Point directly at the front sensor. If the issue persists, reset the soundbar.
Can I mount the soundbar on the wall?
Yes, a wall mount kit is included. Drill two holes spaced 440 mm apart with a diameter of 5.5-6 mm, insert the wall plugs and screw in the screws leaving 5 mm of clearance. Hang the soundbar by aligning the mounting holes over the screw heads.
Which audio formats are supported via USB?
The soundbar plays MP3 and WAV files from a USB flash drive up to 64 GB. The USB port is not intended for charging.
How to adjust bass and treble?
Press BASS+/- or TREBLE+/- on the remote to enter custom EQ mode. The white LED flashes twice. Use the same buttons to adjust the level (from +3 to -3). After 3 seconds of inactivity, the value is saved.
What to do if the soundbar turns off by itself?
The auto standby function turns off the device after 15 minutes without an input signal (on Optical, Bluetooth, AUX). To disable this function, press and hold the Mute button for 5 seconds until the LED flashes green (enabled) or red (disabled).
How to clean the soundbar?
Always unplug the device before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use chemicals or detergents. For ventilation slots, a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment is recommended.
