Frequently Asked Questions - Cloud Orbit Software HYPERX

How to customize the HRTF profile on the HyperX Cloud Orbit?
Open the HyperX Cloud Orbit Software. In the HRTF Customization section, adjust the Head Circumference, Interaural Arc and Ambience sliders according to your measurements. Click Apply to save.
Is head tracking available on all models?
No, head tracking is an exclusive feature of the Cloud Orbit S model. The standard Cloud Orbit does not have inertial sensors.
How to add a new head movement profile?
In the software, go to Head Movements, click Add, name the profile, then click Create. Then select it from the drop-down menu.
What is the difference between a press-and-hold function and a non-hold key?
A press-and-hold function remains active as long as the head movement is held. A non-hold function is triggered momentarily with each movement. Both are configured by checking the right check box in the software.
How to change the sensitivity of a head movement?
Check the left check box next to the desired movement, then adjust the value in degrees. A lower value (e.g., -10°) makes the gesture more sensitive than a higher value (e.g., -8°).
What is the Twitch mode in head movements?
The Twitch mode allows you to associate a function with a flinch movement (e.g., quick nod). It disables other gestures in the same category. Activate it by checking the Twitch MODE box in the software.
How to change the EQ audio profile on the Cloud Orbit?
In the software, go to Audio Profiles. Choose from presets: Flat, Default, Step, Shots, Music, Racing, RPG, Warm. The Default profile corresponds to the Audeze House curve.
Where to find the firmware version and how to update?
In the software, Firmware section. You will see USB FW, MCU FW, DSP FW versions. Click Update FW to search for and install updates.
Is the Cloud Orbit headset compatible with consoles?
Yes, it is compatible with PlayStation 4/5 and Nintendo Switch (in USB mode). For Xbox, a third-party USB adapter is required. The customization software is only available on PC.
How to clean the HyperX Cloud Orbit?
Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe surfaces. Do not use liquids or chemicals. Ear cushions can be removed and washed with warm soapy water, then let them dry completely before reassembly.
