Initial operation
Operational start-up

- Check that the pump is standing firmly on the bottom of the shaft or hung up safely.
- Place the pump on a brick and not on a shaft floor, if applicable. This prevents damage to the pump if the shaft floor is soiled.
- Check that the line has been attached properly.
- Check that the electrical connection is 230 V\~ 50 Hz
- Check the proper status of the electrical plug socket and make sure that the plug socket is sufficiently fused (at least 6 A, RCD switch). Insert the pump plug into the plug socket and the pump is ready for operation.
• Make sure that moisture or water never come in contact with the mains connection. There is a risk of electrocution.
- If you are unsure, have the pump checked by a professional.
Positioning/hanging
The device can be suspended from the handle (1) or placed on the bottom of the shaft. The pump can be suspended and/or removed using the nylon cord (11) provided. To ensure it is suspended securely, thread the cord (11) through the handle (1) as depicted in Figure C.

Ensure that the equipment is not hung up or held by the mains cable. There is a risk of electric shock from damaged mains cables.

Note that, over time, dirt and sand may collect on the bottom of the shaft, which could damage the pump. We recommend standing the pump on a brick. If the water level is too low, the silt in the shaft can quickly dry out and impede the pump when warming up.
Mains connection
The pump you have purchases is already fitted with an earthed plug. The equipment is designed for connection to an earthed wall socket with a RCD (Residual Current Device) at 230 V\~50 Hz.

Connecting the pressure line
The pump is installed
- either with a fixed pipeline
- or with a flexible hose line.
- Screw the quick-connect adapter (8) onto the pump outlet (6).
- Press the release button on the quick-connect adapter (8a) and slide the angle adapter with quick-connect connector (9) into the quick-connect adapter (8). Let go of the release button on the quick-connect adapter (8a) again.
- Fit the hose over the reducer (10) and secure it with a hose clamp.
Or use the screw connection on the angle adapter with quick-connect connector (9) or on the previously screwed-on reducer piece (10).
GBMT
1 Pump outlet (6) with 1½" female thread for connection of the quick-connect adapter (8) or for direct connection of a hose with 1½" male thread;
② Outlet with 1½"-external thread at the bracket adapter (9) for connection of the reducer (10) or a 1½"-screw connection;
3 Outlet on the reducer piece (10) for connecting a 1¼" hose as a clamping connection (fastening with hose clamp);
4 Outlet with 1"-external thread at the reducer (10) for connection of a 1"-screw connection;
5 Outlet with 1"-thread at the reducer (10) for connection of a 1"-hose as clamp connection (fixing with a hose clamp).

For the use of a 1¼" hose, cut off the respective connection above and then put the hose over the corresponding connection (fastening with hose clamp).

Note that the particle size may be max. 18 mm if the reducer ⑤ (Outlet with 1") is used, otherwise the reducer and hose can become blocked.
Switching on and off

The pump is fitted with a sensor. The pump starts immediately once it is in the water and the mains plug is plugged into the power outlet.
- Switching on: Plug the mains plug into the power outlet.
- Switching off: Remove the mains plug from the power outlet. The pump switches off.
B
Automatic operation
In automatic operation, the activation level sensors (4.1, 4.2, 4.3) automatically switch on the submersible sewage pump. If the water level is too low (<95 mm), an activation/deactivation level sensor (4) will automatically switch off the submersible sewage pump after a delay of 30 seconds.
The activation point can be set to 3 levels.
Vary the activation point by pressing the button (3).
The set activation level can be recognised by the illuminated LED on the activation level sensors (4.1, 4.2, 4.3).
Activation level 4.1 - approx. 95 mm Activation level 4.2 - approx. 137 mm Activation level 4.3 - approx. 185 mm

Guarantee
Dear Customer,
This equipment is provided with a 5-year guarantee from the date of purchase. In case of defects, you have statutory rights against the seller of the product. These statutory rights are not restricted by our guarantee presented below.
Terms of Guarantee
The term of the guarantee begins on the date of purchase. Please retain the original receipt. This document is required as proof of purchase.
If a material or manufacturing defect occurs within five years of the date of purchase of this product, we will repair or replace – at our choice – the product for you free of charge. This guarantee requires the defective equipment and proof of purchase to be presented within the five-year period with a brief written description of what constitutes the defect and when it occurred. If the defect is covered by our guarantee, you will receive either the repaired product or a new product. No new guarantee period begins on repair or replacement of the product.
Guarantee period and statutory claims for defects
The guarantee period is not extended by the guarantee service. This also applies for replaced or repaired parts. Any damages and defects already present at the time of purchase must be reported immediately after unpacking. Repairs arising after expiry of the guarantee period are chargeable.
Guarantee cover
The equipment has been carefully produced in accordance with strict quality guidelines and conscientiously checked prior to delivery.
The guarantee applies for all material and manufacturing defects. This guarantee does not extend to cover product parts that are subject to normal wear and may therefore be considered as wearing parts (e.g. connector set) or to cover damage to breakable parts (e.g. switches).
This guarantee shall be invalid if the product has been damaged, used incorrectly or not maintained. Precise adherence to all of the instructions specified in the operating manual is required for proper use of the product. Intended uses and actions against which the operating manual advises or warns must be categorically avoided. The product is designed only for private and not commercial use. The guarantee will be invalidated in case of misuse or improper handling, use of force, or interventions not undertaken by our authorised service branch.
In the case of pumping water containing sand or aggressive liquids or other incorrect, non-design-appropriate use, as well as in case of non-observance of the operating manual, application of force in use or inappropriate or insufficient maintenance, no guarantee claim exists, since seals, impeller wheel, motor or other parts are damaged by this. Also, sewage water pumps are not suitable for the pumping of abrasive materials (sand, stone).
Note: submersible pumps are drainage pumps. This kind of pump is constructed with the purpose of transporting or removing a certain volume of water – depending on its output category – as quickly as possible. Submersible pumps are not intended
as irrigation (for example, in garden irrigation systems) or as constant water-flow pumps (such as in artificial streams or ornamental fountains). Inappropriate use will invalidate the warranty.
In particular, the guarantee is likewise void in the case of employment of the sewage water pumps without base plate or (this applies for all pumps) in case of damages which are caused by supporting on or suspending from the mains cable. The pumps must not be run dry or exposed to frost.
