How to descale the coffee machine?

Mix three cups of vinegar and nine cups of cold water in the tank. Run a brewing cycle for one minute, then turn off and wait half an hour. Run a full cycle to flush out the solution. Then, run two cycles with fresh water to rinse. It is recommended to descale every two months.

What to do if the machine does not work?

Check that the voltage matches the mains supply (220-240V) and that the appliance is plugged in and turned on. If the problem persists, contact after-sales service.

Why is water leaking from the appliance?

Check that the water tank is not filled above the MAX level. Excess water may cause leaks during brewing.

Why is the coffee not hot enough?

Make sure the carafe is properly placed on the warming plate. If you brew a small amount, the coffee cools faster. Brew a sufficient amount for better heat retention.

Why does the coffee taste bad?

Do not leave the carafe on the warming plate too long, especially with little coffee. The coffee can burn and become bitter. Use fresh coffee and follow the recommended dosages (one heaping tablespoon per cup).

How to clean the machine?

Unplug it and let it cool. Wash the carafe, filter, and funnel with warm soapy water. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Never immerse the appliance body in water.

What is the capacity of the machine?

The tank has a capacity of 1 liter, allowing you to brew up to 10 cups of coffee.

Can I use store-bought ground coffee?

Yes, use ground coffee for filter. The machine is equipped with a reusable permanent filter, but you can also use a standard paper filter.

Does the machine shut off automatically?

No, the machine does not have automatic shut-off. Brewing stops when the tank is empty, but the warming plate remains on. You must manually turn off the switch and unplug the appliance after use.

What to do if the coffee takes too long to drip?

This usually indicates that the machine needs descaling. Follow the descaling procedure described in the manual. Also check that the filter is not clogged.

GENERAL PRECAUTIONS

General precautions during the use of electrical

equipment

• Do not use the appliance for any other purpose than described in this manual.
• Do not use or store the appliance outdoors.
  • Always place the appliance on to the flat an even surface.
• This product is intended for indoor, non-industrial, non-commercial and only for household use. Do not use the item outdoors or for any other purpose. Misuse or improper handling may cause problems in the appliance and cause injury to the user.
• The unit must be used only for the intended purposes. No liability is accepted for damages arising from improper use or wrong handling.
• Ensure that the voltage indicated on the name-plate matches the mains voltage before plugging in the appliance.
• Always remove the plug from the power socket when the appliance is not in use. Do not leave the appliance unattended when switched on.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is being used by or near children.
• Before cleaning or storing your appliance, always unplug the appliance from the power supply and let it cool down.
• The device is not completely disconnected from the power source, even after it has been turned off. To disconnect it completely, disconnect it from the mains plug.
• The appliances are not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.

• Do not touch the outer surface of the appliance as it can get very hot during operation. Instead, use the handle or mitts.
• Never immerse the appliance or the plug-in water or any other liquid. In the event of the appliance falling in water, disconnect immediately from the mains supply and take it to an authorized service agent for repair before reusing.
• Do not use the appliance if it has fallen on the floor, if there are visible signs of damage or if it has a leak.
• Do not use the appliance if the cable or plug is damaged. In case of the cord be damaged, it must be replaced only by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid Hazard.

• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
• Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
• Do not allow the children to use the appliance without supervision.

Restrictions on use when using the appliance

- The appliance has been incorporated with a grounded plug. Please ensure the wall outlet in your house is well earthed.

- Be careful to not to get burned by the steam.

- The coffee-maker shall not be placed in a close cabinet.

- Do not touch or move the coffee maker while in use.

• Always remove the plug from the socket in case of any malfunction, before filling or after use, or before cleaning.

- Be careful not to get burnt by the steam evaporating from the filter.

- Never use your coffee maker without water in it. Only use fresh and cold water to brew coffee.

- Never fill the water tank beyond the Max. Level. Do not use your coffee maker in case of overflowing.

- Never put the coffee maker in an oven (including microwave oven) to warm up the coffee.

- Do not forget that the temperature of the coffee prepared is high, handle with care the jug to avoid scalding.

- Always set any control to "off" before unplugging from the socket.

- Make sure the ambient temperature is above 0^ , otherwise the

appliance does not function properly.

- Always descale the appliance regularly to ensure optimum performance and prevent malfunction. (at least two times a year).

- Make sure to cool down, before cleaning or storing the appliance.

- The appliance may give off some smoke and smell when you use it initially. it will disappear after a few times uses.

- Do not use this coffee make continuously, use it by giving proper pauses to cool down.

- It is absolutely necessary to keep this appliance clean at all times as it comes into direct contact with food.

- Make sure the appliance is unplugged before inserting, removing or cleaning its accessories. It is absolutely necessary to remove the accessories before cleaning them.

- Unwind the cord to avoid the superheating of the appliance.

- WARNING: Never touch the hot parts of the appliance (be careful, also the warm plate and the appliance is a hot part!). Only Handle the coffee maker by its handle.

- WARNING: This appliance must be used with CAUTION as this electrical appliance contains a heating function. The surface of this appliance is also different from other functional surfaces that can produce high temperatures. Since temperatures are perceived differently by different people. 5. INSTRUCTIONS OF USE

1. Before first use, clean the carafe, the reusable mesh filter and filter basket in warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly.
2. Before making coffee, you should use the coffee maker 2 – 3 times with only water only.
3. Remove the water reservoir cover and fill with fresh cold water up to Max. marking
4. Close the water reservoir cover.
5. Swing out the filter holder, put adequate quantity of coffee powders into the permanent filter (or paper filter) inside the filter holder, place back it to original position, make sure it is fixed properly.
6. Place the carafe on the plate.
7. Switch on the appliance by pressing the On / Off switch, the indicator light will light up and now the appliance starts to work.
   Note: Caution: Do not open the reservoir lid during the brewing coffee, as scalding may occur.
8. The appliance will brew until the water tank is emptied.
9. Unplug from the socket.
   WARNING: Before brewing another carafe of coffee, wait for few minutes to allow the Coffeemaker cool completely.

6. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

1. Do not forget to remove the plug from the socket before cleaning the appliance.
2. Make sure that the appliance and especially the carafe are cool down before cleaning.
3. Clean the inside of the carafe with a soft brush in warm soapy water. Rinse with fresh water and dry it before next use.
   Note: When washed in a dishwasher, the parts may appear to fade. Restore by polishing them with a soft, dry cloth.
4. Wipe outside with soft, moist cloth when appliance is cold down completely, never use metal polish.
5. Never immerse the cord, plug, or appliance itself in water.

DESCALING

1. The appliance has to be descaled regularly (minimum twice a year)
2. Operate two or three more brewing cycles with fresh, cold water to remove all descale solution residues. Throw out the obtained hot water.
3. The frequency depends on the water hardness. Generally, the descaling should be done every two months.

Operational process of descaling:

• Place the carafe onto the Base.
• Mix three cups of vinegar and nine cups of cold water and fill the water tank up to the Max level with prepared solution.
• Switch on the appliance during one minute. Switch off then, and wait one half an hour.
• Press the Start Button. Allow all of the cleaning solution to drip into the carafe, throw out the cleaning solution and clean the carafe.

• Operate two more brewing cycles with fresh, cold water to remove all descaler solution residues.

• TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBLEM Solutions
The appliance does not work.	Make sure the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to the local mains voltage. Make sure the appliance has been plugged in & switched on.
Water leaks out of the appliance.	Check if the water tank is filled beyond the MAX level.
The appliance produces a lot of noise and steam during brewing.	Make sure the water tank is not filled with hot water. The appliance needs to be de-scaled (see ‘Descaling’ section).
Ground coffee enter into the jug.	Check if the filter holder has overflowed because there is too much ground coffee in the filter, or the jug has not been placed correctly under the filter holder, or you have removed the jug for more than 30 seconds during brewing. Check if the filter is torn or you use the wrong size of paper filter
Brewing coffee takes longer than usual.	The appliance needs to be descaled (see ‘Descaling’ section).
The coffee maker switches off before the water tank is empty.	The appliance needs to be descaled (see ‘Descaling’ section). Attempting to start another brewing cycle before the Coffeemaker cools (3 minutes) may result in an incomplete cycle.
The coffee is not strong enough.	Check if used ground coffee is not enough. It should be one heaped measuring spoon of ground coffee for each cup. Check if you use ground coffee with mild flavour.
The coffee is too strong.	Check if used too much ground coffee. It should be one heaped measuring spoon of ground coffee for each cup. Check if you have used ground coffee with strong flavour.
The coffee does not taste good.	Check if you leave the thermos jug with coffee on the plate too long, especially if it only contains a small amount of coffee.
The coffee is not hot enough.	Check if the brewed coffee is too little. The coffee will warm longer if you brew more. Make sure you place the thermos jug properly on the plate.
The jug is difficult to place in the appli-ance or remove from the appliance.	Make sure the lid of the jug & filter basket are in right position. Tilt the jug a little of angle to place or remove it. Be careful not to spill the hot coffee for avoiding scalding.
There is less coffee in the jug than ex-pected.	Check if you have not placed the jug properly on the warm plate, so that the anti-drip valve prevents the coffee from flowing out of the filter. The appliance needs to be descaled (see ‘Descaling’ section).
