How to set up the microphone on a Windows PC?

Plug the microphone into a USB port. Right-click the Sound icon in the taskbar, select Open Sound settings, then under the Recording tab, choose HyperX SoloCast and click Set as default.

How to set up the microphone on a Mac?

Plug the microphone into a USB port. Go to System Preferences > Sound, Input tab, then select HyperX SoloCast.

How to use the microphone with a PS4?

Plug the microphone into a USB port on the PS4. Go to Settings > Devices > Audio Devices, then set Input Device to USB Microsoft (HyperX SoloCast).

How to mute the microphone?

Simply tap the top of the microphone (touch sensor). The LED blinks to confirm mute. Tap again to unmute.

What does the LED on the microphone indicate?

The LED is solid when the microphone is active, and blinks when muted.

Can I use the microphone with a microphone arm or stand?

Yes, the microphone can be removed from its base and attached to a stand with a standard 3/8" or 5/8" threading.

Is the microphone compatible with streaming software?

Yes, once set as the default input device, it works with all streaming, recording, and communication software (OBS, Discord, Zoom, etc.).

How to clean the microphone?

Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface. Avoid liquids and abrasive products to prevent damage to the microphone.

What should I do if the microphone is not recognized by the computer?

Check that the USB cable is properly connected, try a different USB port, and ensure USB drivers are up to date. Restart the computer if needed.

Microphone Position

SoloCast should be placed with the front of the microphone facing the sound source. This is indicated by the alignment guide on both the microphone and the stand.

Tap the top of the microphone to mute/unmute the microphone. The microphone LED will indicate the current mute status of the microphone.

SoloCast can be removed from its stand and used with microphone mounts with either 3/8" or 5/8" threads.
