Figures 26 - 32 You may be exposed to hazards that could injure you when handling the device and the spraying pesticides. You must therefore always comply with the safety instruc- tions/safety measures in this user manual, as well as the following instructions:

The device must only be operated when suspended in a vertical or steep upright position. Move the pump lever from the top to the bottom. This will fill the air vessel and spray line with spray.

Pressing the actuation lever down on the quick closure valve initiates the spraying process. Only now can the pressure be set on the pressure control valve and read on the pressure gauge. Clockwise rotation increases the pressure, counter-clockwise rotation reduces the pressure. The optimal spraying pressure is always dependent on the nozzle used. It lies between 1.5 and 2.5 bar for the hollow cone nozzle mounted at the factory. If the pressure in the hose line and air vessel drops below the pressure set on the pressure regulator, the pressure regulator closes and no spray is released to the nozzle. The pump frequency must be increased in this case. The spray jet is interrupted immediately by releasing the actuation lever on the quick closure valve. Note the wind direction! Do not spray into the wind. Ensure uniform wetting of the object when spraying. The distance from the nozzle to the object to be sprayed should be 40-50 cm.

Clip the spray lance to the pump lever during work interruptions and breaks.

If the pressure control valve interrupts the spray jet, there is still pressure in the hose line and pump. 7 Shutting down

7.1 Emptying & Cleaning >>

Figures 33 - 37 Danger to health due to escaping spraying agents! Pay attention to the safety instructions in this manual. Observe applicable laws and the spec- ifications of the agent manufacturers when disposing of residual quantities. Remove the pressure regulator and release the residual pressure in the tank.

Clean the device and hose system thoroughly with water after each use (rinse several times), actuating the pump and actuation lever on the quick closure valve several times whilst doing so. Collect the discharge and apply as described above diluted 1:10 onto vegetation. Leave the device to dry opened, hanging it up if possible with the opening facing downwards.

Figure 38 - 44 You may be exposed to hazards that could injure you during maintenance work. Wear safety gloves and protective clothing, if necessary.

Completely depressurise the hose line by pulling the actuation lever on the quick closure valve, even if the device is empty, and dispose of any remaining liquid in the system onto vegetation.

The sealing ring in the container cap and all other moving parts must be regularly greased with resin- and acid-free grease.

Observe the national regulations concerning occupational safety which apply to the place of operation as well as the applicable national regulations for operations. An expert inspection must be performed – ideally by the maintenance service of the manufacturer – to establish whether hazard-free operation remains possible. This should be performed in the event of defects that may impair safety in particular, and must be performed at least every 5 years in any case.

Only use original GLORIA spare parts for repairs. (see GLORIA spare parts shop https://shop.gloriagarten.de).

Repairs must only be carried out by a GLORIA service point.

It is forbidden to perform repair work on the container (such as welding and soldering).
