Use only the supplied charger with corresponding original Li-Ion bat- tery (only item no. 000301.0000). Operate charger only in dry rooms. NOTE!

The battery (C) is only partially charged. Before initial use, fully charge battery. Please ensure that the charging proce- dure is performed at room tempera- ture. This is the only way to ensure a long battery life.

A significantly decreased runtime in spite of charging indicates that the bat- tery is dead and must be replaced. Use only original Li-Ion batteries, which you can purchase from manufacturer’s customer service.

Charger and battery can heat up during charging. This is normal and not a sign of a technical defect.

The Lithium-Ion battery can be charged at any time, regardless of charge state. Premature interruption of charging does not cause damage to the battery. A protective circuit on the battery pre- vents depth discharge of battery.

The battery is equipped with tempera- ture monitoring that only permits charg- ing over a temperature range between 0 °C and 45 °C. This ensures a long bat- tery life.

Do not press the On/Off switch again if the device has switched itself off auto- matically. The battery can be damaged. Note the details concerning disposal of the battery.

6.1 Charging procedure

Figures 3 - 4 Remove battery (C) from pack- aging (only item no. 000301.0000)

The charging process starts as soon as the plug has been plugged into the power outlet and the battery (C) has been placed in the charger (G). Due to the intelligent charging method, the charging condi- tion of the battery is automatically detected and the battery is charged with the optimum charging cur- rent, depending on battery temperature and voltage. This gives longer life to the battery and always leaves it fully charged when kept in the charger for storage. NOTE!

The battery can also be charged while it is in the protective covering. Indicator statuses: The charging process is indicated by the flashing of the battery charge indi- cator.

A solid light on the battery charge indicator signals that the battery is fully charged or that the temperature of the battery is not within the permitted charg- ing temperature range, and can therefore not be charged. The battery is charged as soon as the allowable charging tempera- ture range is reached. When the battery is not inserted, a solid light on the battery charge indicator signals that the mains plug is inserted in the plug socket and that the charger is ready for operation. Following a successful charging proce- dure, first remove the battery from the charger. Then disconnect the charger plug from the power outlet. 7 Commissioning Figures 5 - 17

7.1 Inserting the battery and

attaching the add-on parts

ATTENTION The battery that is supplied is not water- proof! Use the protective covering (D) to prevent damage to the battery. Pull the protective covering (D) over the battery. When doing this, ensure that the protective covering is not dam- aged and fits correctly.

MULTIJET.qxp_Text_GB 06.01.20 15:50 Seite 2728 When inserting the battery, ensure that the contacts at the device and the bat- tery itself are dry. Insert the charged battery into the device as shown into place. When doing this, ensure that the protective covering is not dam- aged and seals off the battery all round. Install the "4 in 1 nozzle" (I) as shown in the illustration. Do up the connection with the union ring (H) finger-tight.

If using the extension (F) , install this part first. Then install the "4 in 1 nozzle" (I) as shown in the illus- tration. Do up the connections with the union ring (E) and the union ring (H) finger-tight.

Make sure that the surface to be cleaned is free from debris such as stones, screws etc., which could be flung up.

7.2 Water supply from a water tap

Connect to the water supply as described in

section 4 "Technical data". Observe the basic

safety instructions in chapter 2.1. Connect the coupling of the supplied intake hose (O) to the device.

Now connect a hose to the water supply and turn the tap on fully.

7.3 Water supply from open

containers Instead connecting to a tap, the device can also be supplied with water from open con- tainers such as rainwater barrels, buckets, ponds, etc. Note the maximum suction head stated in

section 4 "Technical data". The suction time

increases as the suction head increases. Connect the coupling of the supplied intake hose (O) to the device. Install at the other end of the hose the inlet filter (N) to the coupling. ATTENTION Damage to the device due to dry running If the device does not produce any pres- sure within max. 2 minutes, this may cause damage to the device. Switch the device off immediately and follow the instructions given in section 10 "Problems with the device

7.4 Water supply from PET

You can also operate the device from a PET bottle filled with water. This enables you to be completely flexible in the use of the device and inde- pendent of fixed water supplies. CAUTION PET bottle not use for plant protection products!

CAUTION Ensure that you are standing firmly since the water jet can produce a greater or less- er degree of recoil force at the device (depending on the operating mode that was selected). Always hold the device firm- ly with both hands. Switch the device on and set the optimum spray pressure for the application at the operating mode button (K)

At the "4 in 1 nozzle" (I) , set the water spray form that is optimal for your appli- cation.

= Needle jet We recommend the following settings, for example: = plant protection products set (accessory, not included as standard)

Combine the set pressure with the "4 in 1 nozzle". We recommend the following settings, for example: + = watering plants + = cleaning of larger areas that are moderately dirty

+ = cleaning of larger areas that are very dirty + = spot cleaning that are very dirty

ATTENTION The high pressure can cause damage! If the water pressure is too high, it can damage the surfaces. Maintain a distance of at least 30 cm from painted surfaces. Do not clean delicate surface with the turbo mill (e.g. wood, tires, painted surfaces, etc.).

Turn on the device with the 2-stage On/Off switch (A) in the handle and start with the cleaning. Release the On/Off switch (A) if the work is interrupted. The pump and water feed are stopped. If there is a brief interrup- tion, the device will start up again in the last operating mode that had been selected. If the interruption lasts longer than 5 minutes, the device returns to the "spray" operating mode. After another 5 minutes, the display turns off.

The device is equipped with a battery charge indicator (J) that displays the charging status of the battery. The dis- plays only light up when the device is switched on. Battery capacity: Reserve ≤ 30% ≤ 60% 100% Temperature protection / low voltage cutoff:

The battery runtime depends mainly on the load of the device. Cleaning work in "max." results in shorter battery runtimes. Another factor is overly frequent starting and stopping during cleaning, which can also reduce battery operating time. Handle the battery and the device as described in the instructions.

7.6 Working with plant protection

products / cleaning agents (accessory) GLORIA offers various accessories for the MULTIJET for plant protection and more intensive care. Information on these is given in section 11 "Accessories / spare parts". 8 Decommissioning & Storage Figure 19
