3 Place the mixing nozzle on the syringe and secure it by twisting it in a clockwise motion.

4 Remove the tip protector from the tip of the nozzle. 5 Place a small amount of gel in each tooth compartment of the tray.

Warning: Do not overll your tray with

gel, as this may cause gum irritation when excess gel gets pushed out of the trays and onto your gums. Whitening tray has been designed to t snugly against your teeth. Note: The gel drop shown represents the average size drop for each tooth compartment, depending on the size of your teeth. The whitening gel is absorbed into the tooth and whitens from the inside, so it is not important to cover the entire tooth with whitening gel. Each 2.4 ml syringe contains enough gel for 3whitening applications (when using both top and bottom trays). 6 Place the tray with gel in your mouth. As you insert the tray, be careful not to push the gel out of the tray. Bubbling within the trays is normal. - Use extra care to avoid getting gel on your gums. Symptoms should subside within 1-3days. - If teeth are sensitive, try whitening every other day or every third night/day or ask your dentist for a lower concentration gel. - Ask your dentist for a 5% potassium nitrate toothpaste. - A Non-Steroidal Anti-Inammatory (NSAIDs) drug may be taken for pain, adhering to the respective drug‘s instructions for use as well as a recommendation from your dentist for acceptable use. Gum Irritation - When whitening gel comes in contact with your gums, it may cause gum irritation. This includes redness, a burning feeling, or white spots on the gums. - Trays that extend onto the gingiva (gums) may cause soft tissue irritation. If the trays extend over your gums, have your dentist trim them. - Reduce the amount of gel in your trays and use extra care to avoid getting gel on your gums. Remove excess gel with a cotton swab or a dry toothbrush. If all of the above options have been exhausted and you still have gum irritation or sensitivity, treatment should be ceased until the irritation subsides. Resume treatment with shorter, less frequent applications until the desired whitening eect has been achieved. If discomfort continues, discontinue the treatment and consult your dental professional. Dentist Instructions for Intracoronal bleaching Intracoronal bleaching of non-vital teeth involves the use of hydrogen peroxide within the coronal portion of an endodontically treated tooth to remove discoloration. Non-vital teeth can be bleached from both the inside out (intracoronally) and the outside in to accelerate whitening speed/ eectiveness. The instructions provided below describe the procedure for intracoronal bleaching of non-vital teeth. Note: Wait at least 2 weeks after an endodontic treatment (e.g. root canal treatment) or similar treatment before using a non-vital take-home whitening kit. Ensure that the endodontic treatment is eective before beginning the intracoronal bleaching procedure. 1 Familiarize the patient with the probable cause of discoloration, the procedure to be followed, expected outcome, and the possibility of future discoloration. 2 Take radiographs to assess the status of the periapical tissues and quality of endodontic obturation. Endodontic failure or questionable obturation should be retreated prior to bleaching. 3 Evaluate tooth color with a shade guide. 4 Completely remove all the restorative and root sealing material from the coronal pulp chamber and 2-3 mm below the gingiva. 5 Do not use anesthesia. 6 Place a 2mm thick conventional glass ionomer or a resin modied glass ionomer to seal the canal. 7 Take an X-Ray to make sure it is sealed eectively.
