5. Place an aluminium pipe

(19) onto the adapter (11) and screw it with the screw sleeve (20).

6. Push the pipe holder (12) onto the alu-

minium pipe downwards until it enga- ges in the recess on the device. Fitting the upper aluminium pipe

and screw it with the screw sleeve (20). Immersing the pump Be careful not to hold or hang the unit by the mains connec- tion cable. There is a risk of electric shock due to dama- ged mains connection cables. When immersing the pump, make sure that the shut-off valve(16) is open to ensure that the pump is vented.

  • Use the plastic hook (7) or attach a rope to the pump‘s carrying handle (2) to im- merse or raise the pump. Never hang the unit directly from the bent pipe or water hose.
  • You can adjust the height of the plastic hook after loosening the wing nut (8). This way you can hang the pump in a rain barrel without it touching the ground and sucking in possible sedi- ment.
  • When the water level is low, you can also place the pump in the rain barrel. The shut-off valve must protrude over the edge of the container. Beware of dirt and sand accumu- lating at the bottom of the barrel over time, which could damage the pump. We recommend placing the pump on a brick.23 GB MT Mains connection The pump you have purchased is already equipped with a safety plug. The pump is intended for connection to an earthed socket with residual current circuit breaker (RCCB) with 230V~50Hz. Operation Adjustingtheoat switch

Automatic operationThe on or off switching point of the oat switch ( ) can be adjusted continuously.1. Disconnect the cable ( ) of the oat switch ( ) from the fastening, if neces-sary (

) in the desired positi-on into the fastening (

Check the oat switch ( ). It must be positioned so that it can rise and fall freely. The switching point height „On“ and the switching point height „Off“ must be easily reached. There is a risk of dry running if the cable ( ) of the oat switch is chosen too long, especially if the cable ( ) is not hooked into the fas-tening (

Manual operationThe pump runs continuously in manual operation. Position the oat switch (1), as shown, directly vertically in the fastening (6). Switching on and off

1. Open the shut-off valve (

Turn in + direction Use the shut-off valve to regulate the amount of water that ows into the connected water hose. 2. Fully immerse the pump.3. Insert the mains plug in the socket. The pump starts immediately.4. To switch off, pull the plug out of the so-cket. The pump switches off. If the water level is too low, the oat switch will automatically switch off the pump. Supervise the appliance while it is in operation in order to be immedi- ately aware if the automatic cut-out operates or the pump runs dry, to limit any damage to a minimum.24 GB MT Maintenance/ Cleaning/ Storage Clean and maintain your equipment regu- larly. This will guarantee its performance and long durability. Ask our service centre to car- ry out any work that is not described in these instruc- tions. Use only original parts. There is a risk of injury! Pull out the power plug before every maintenance operation. There is a risk of electrocution or of injury from moving parts. General cleaning instructions

  • Clean the pump with clean water after each use.
  • Remove any uff and brous particles that may have become trapped on and under the pump housing (3) with a wa- ter jet.
  • Clean the oat switch (1) and the suc- tion foot (4) of deposits with clear water. Cleaningthelter The pump has a removable lter in the suc- tion foot that protects it from contamination. Depending on the degree of contamination of the water, it should be checked occasio- nally and cleaned if necessary:

1. Unplug the mains plug.

2. Turn the lter cover (

3. Remove the lter cover (

) under running water.

5. Install the lter (

in reverse order. The pump must not be operated with the lter (

Flushing the pump After pumping heavily polluted water, the pump must be ushed to prevent deposits in the pump.

  • Pump lukewarm water (max. 35 °C) until the pumped water is clear. Storage
  • Clean the pump before storage.
  • Store the appliance in a dry, frost-free place, and where children cannot gain access to it.
  • When the pump is not to be used for a longer period, it must be thoroughly cleaned after its last use, and before it is next used. Otherwise there may be problems in starting the pump, caused by deposits and residues. Space-saving storage

1. Dismantle the exible pipe (17) and the

upper aluminium pipe (19). 2 Clip the exible pipe (17) and the upper aluminium pipe (19) right and left into the pipe holder (12). Keep the sealing rings ( 13/14 ) in a safe place. All other measures, particularly opening the pump must be carried out by a qualied electrician. Al- ways contact the Service Centre if repairs are needed.25 GB MT Waste Disposal and En- vironmental Protection Be environmentally friendly. Return the tool, accessories and packaging to a recy- cling centre when you have nished with them. Electric appliances should not be disposed of in the domestic gar- bage.
