Explanation of the symbols on the device Symbols are used in this manual to draw your attention to potential hazards. The safety symbols and the accompa- nying explanations must be fully understood. The warnings themselves will not rectify a hazard and cannot replace proper accident prevention measures. - Open the packaging and remove the device care- fully.
- Remove the packaging material as well as the pack- aging and transport bracing (if available).

In addition to the safety regulations in the operating instructions, you have to meet the applicable regula- tions that apply for the operation of the machine in your country. Keep the operating instructions package with the machine at all times and store it in a plastic cover to protect it from dirt and moisture. c) Keep children and bystanders away while op- erating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.
2) Electrical safety
a) Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodied plugs and matching out- lets will reduce risk of electric shock. b) Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of elec- tric shock if your body is earthed or grounded. c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet con- ditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock. d) Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords in- crease the risk of electric shock. e) When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock. f) If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a residual current device (RCD) protected supply. Use of an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.
a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the inuence of drugs, alcohol or med- ication. A moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in serious personal injury. b) Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective equipment such as a dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries. c) Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the o-position before connecting to power source and/or battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool. Carrying power tools with your nger on the switch or energising power tools that have the switch on invites accidents.
- If possible, store the packaging until the warranty period has expired.
The compressor is designed to generate compressed air for compressed-air driven tools which can be driven with an air volume of up to approx. 115 l/min (e.g. tire inator, blow-out pistol and paint spray gun). Due to the limited air output it is not possible to use the com- pressor to drive tools with very high air consumption (for example orbital sanders, rod grinders and ham- mer screwdrivers). The compressor may only be operated in a dry and well ventilated indoor space. The equipment is to be used only for its prescribed purpose. Any other use is deemed to be a case of misuse. The user / operator and not the manufactur- er will be liable for any damage or injuries of any kind caused as a result of this. Please note that our equipment has not been designed for use in commercial, trade or industrial applications. Our warranty will be voided if the equipment is used in commercial, trade or industrial businesses or for equivalent purposes.
5. Safety information
Warning! Read all safety information and instruc- tions! Failure to observe safety information and in- structions can result in electric shock, re and/or se- rious injuries. Save all warnings and instructions for future ref- erence. The term “electric tool” used in the safety instructions refers to mains-powered electrical tools (with a mains cable) and battery-powered electrical tools (without a mains cable).
a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents. b) Do not operate power tools in explosive at- mospheres, such as in the presence of am- mable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.www.scheppach.com
f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control. g) Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with these instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the power tool for operations dierent from those intended could result in a hazardous situation. h) Keep handles and grasping surfaces dry, clean and free from oil and grease. Slippery handles and grasping surfaces do not allow for safe handling and control of the tool in unexpected situations.
a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualied repair person using only identical replace- ment parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained. m WARNING! This electric tool generates an elec- tromagnetic eld during operation. This eld can im- pair active or passive medical implants under certain conditions. In order to prevent the risk of serious or deadly injuries, we recommend that persons with medical implants consult with their physician and the manufacturer of the medical implant prior to operating the electric tool.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Observe the corresponding operating manuals of the respective compressed air tools / compressed air attachments! The following general warnings must also be observed. Safety instructions for working with compressed air and blasting guns
- Ensure there is sucient distance to the product, at least 2.50 m, and keep the compressed air tools / compressed air attachments away from the com- pressor during operation.
- The compressor pump and lines can become very hot during operation. Touching these parts will burn you.
- The air which is sucked in by the compressor must be kept free of impurities that could cause res or explosions in the compressor pump.
- When releasing the hose coupling, hold the hose coupling piece with your hand. This way, you can pro- tect yourself against injury from the rebounding hose. d) Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A wrench or a key left attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury. e) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the power tool in unexpected situations. f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair and clothing away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts. g) If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, en- sure these are connected and properly used. Use of dust collection can reduce dust-related hazards. h) Do not let familiarity gained from frequent use of tools allow you to become complacent and ignore tool safety principles. A careless action can cause severe injury within a fraction of a sec- ond.
4) Power tool use and care
a) Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed. b) Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and o. Any power tool that can- not be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired. c) Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or remove the battery pack, if detachable, from the power tool before making any adjust- ments, changing accessories, or storing pow- er tools. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally. d) Store idle power tools out of the reach of chil- dren and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users. e) Maintain power tools and accessories. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other condition that may aect the power tool’s operation. If dam- aged, have the power tool repaired before use. Residual risks Comply with the stipulated maintenance and safety instructions in the operating instructions. Remain attentive at all times when working and keep third parties at a safe distance from your work area. Even when the device is being used properly, there will always be certain residual hazards that cannot be completely ruled out. The following potential hazards can arise due to the type and design of the device:
- Unintentional starting up of the product.
- Damage to hearing if the stipulated hearing protec- tion is not worn.
- Dirt particles, dust etc. can get into the eyes or face despite wearing safety goggles.

Wear hearing protection. The eects of noise can cause a loss of hearing. m Warning: Noise can have serious eects on your health. If the machine noise exceeds 85 dB, please wear suitable hearing protection. Sound power level L
- Wear safety goggles and a respirator when working with the compressed air pistol. Dusts are harmful to health! Injuries can be easily caused by foreign objects and blown away parts.
- Do not blow at people with the blow-out pistol and do not clean clothes while being worn. Risk of injury! Safety instructions when using spraying attach- ments (e.g. paint sprayers)
- Keep the spray attachment away from the compres- sor when lling so that no liquid comes into contact with the compressor.
- Never spray in the direction of the compressor when using the spraying attachments (e.g. paint sprayers). Moisture can lead to electrical hazards!
- Do not process any paints or solvents with a ash point below 55 °C. Risk of explosion!
- Do not heat up paints or solvents. Risk of explosion!
- If hazardous liquids are processed, wear protective lter units (face guards). Also, adhere to the safety information provided by the manufacturers of such liquids.
- The details and designations of the Ordinance on Hazardous Substances, which are displayed on the outer packaging of the processed material, must be observed. Additional protective measures are to be undertaken if necessary, particularly the wearing of suitable clothing and masks.
- Do not smoke during the spraying process and/or in the work area. Risk of explosion! Paint vapours are easily combustible.
- Never set up or operate the equipment in the vicinity of a re place, open lights or sparking machines.
- Do not store or eat food and drink in the work area. Paint vapours are harmful to your health.
- The work area must exceed 30 m³ and su cient ventilation must be ensured during spraying and drying.
- Do not spray against the wind. Always adhere to the regulations of the local police authority when spray- ing combustible or hazardous materials.
- Do not process media such as white spirit, butyl al- cohol and methylene chloride with the PVC pressure hose. These media will destroy the pressure hose.
- The work area must be separated from the compres- sor so that it cannot come into direct contact with the working medium. Do not lose these safety instructionswww.scheppach.com
8.3 Establishing connections (g. 3, 4)
m Attention! Switch the device o for this. When doing so, hold the coupling rmly in order to avoid injuries due to the hose springing back.
- Connect the tting of your compressed air tool to the compressed air hose (5) of the compressor.
- To disconnect this coupling again, pull the quick-cou- pling (4) back at the compressed air hose (5).
8.4 Using the tyre ination device (g. 6, 7, 8)
The compressed air tyre ination device (G) is used to inate car tyres. With the corresponding accessories it can also be used to inate and regulate bicycle tyres, inatable dinghies, air mattresses, balls etc. Pressure can be released by actuating the vent valve (7). m Attention! The manometer has not been ocially calibrated! After inating, please check the air pres- sure with a calibrated device.
8.5 Using an air blow gun
You can also use the tyre ination device (G) as an air blow gun to clean out cavities and to clean soiled sur- faces and work equipment. To do so, please rst remove the hose with the valve adapter (8). Now screw the blow-out adapter (D) to the tyre ina- tion device (G).
8.6 Using the adapter set
The adapter set enables you to use the following addi- tional capabilities of the tyre ination device:
- Pumping up balls with the help of the ball needle (F).
- The valve adapter (E) enables bicycle tyres to be inated.
- Filling pools, air mattresses or boats with the help of the additional adapter (K).
- Filling items with threaded valves (e.g. Boats) with the screw-in valve adapter (J).
- Deating large volume items. The deating adapter (C) can be used for this.
- The two conical universal adapters (A/B) can like- wise be used for inating air mattresses.
7. Before starting the equipment
- Before you connect the equipment to the mains sup- ply make sure that the data on the rating plate are identical to the mains data.
- Check the equipment for damage which may have occurred in transit. Report any damage immediately to the transport company which was used to deliver the compressor.
- Install the compressor near the point of consump- tion.
- Avoid long air lines and supply lines (extension ca- bles).
- Make sure that the intake air is dry and dustfree.
- Do not install the compressor in a damp or wet room.
- The compressor may only be used in suitable rooms (with good ventilation and an ambient temperature from +5 °C to 40 °C). There must be no dust, ac- ids, vapors, explosive gases or inammable gases in the room.
- The compressor is designed to be used in dry rooms. It is prohibited to use the compressor in ar- eas where work is conducted with sprayed water.
- The compressor may only be used outdoor briey when the ambient conditions are dry.
- The compressor must always be kept dry and must not be left outdoors after work is complete.
8. Attachment and operation
n Important! You must fully assemble the appliance before us- ing it for the rst time!
8.1 Mains connection
- The compressor can be connected to any 220 - 240-240 V~ 50 Hz shock-proof socket which is pro- tected by a 16 A fuse.
- Before you use the machine, make sure that the mains voltage is the same as the operating voltage (see the rating plate).
- Long supply cables, extensions, cable reels etc. cause a drop in voltage and can impede motor start- up.

10. Cleaning, maintenance, and storage
n Important! Pull out the power plug before doing any cleaning and maintenance work on the equipment. Risk of injury from electric shock! n Important! Wait until the equipment has cooled down completely! Risk of burns! n Important! Always depressurize the equipment before carrying out any cleaning and maintenance work! Risk of injury!
- Keep the equipment free of dirt and dust as far as possible. Wipe the equipment with a clean cloth or blow it down with compressed air at low pressure.
- We recommend that you clean the equipment im- mediately after you use it.
- Clean the equipment regularly with a damp cloth and some soft soap. Do not use cleaningagents or solvents; these may be aggressive to the plastic parts in the equipment. Ensure that no water can get into the interior of the equipment.
- You must disconnect the hose and any spraying tools from the compressor before cleaning. Do not clean the compressor with water, solvents or the like.
m Important! Pull out the mains plug and ventilate the equip- ment and all connected pneumatic tools. Switch o the compressor and make sure that it is se- cured in such a way that it cannot be started up again by any unauthorized person. m Important! Store the compressor only in a dry location which is not accessible to unauthorized persons. Always store upright, never tilted!
9. Electrical connection
The electrical motor installed is connected and ready for operation. The connection complies with the applicable VDE and DIN provisions. The customer‘s mains connection as well as the extension cable used must also comply with these regulations. When working with spray attachments and during tem- porary use outdoors, the device must be connected to a residual current circuit breaker with a trigger current of 30 mA or less. Damaged electrical connection cable The insulation on electrical connection cables is of- ten damaged. This may have the following causes:
- Passage points, where connection cables are passed through windows or doors.
- Kinks where the connection cable has been improp- erly fastened or routed.
- Places where the connection cables have been cut due to being driven over.
- Insulation damage due to being ripped out of the wall outlet.
- Cracks due to the insulation ageing. Such damaged electrical connection cables must not be used and are life-threatening due to the insulation damage. Check the electrical connection cables for damage regularly. Make sure that the connection cable does not hang on the power network during the inspection. Electrical connection cables must comply with the ap- plicable VDE and DIN provisions. Only use connection cables with the marking „H05VV-F“. The printing of the type designation on the connection cable is mandatory. AC motor
- The mains voltage must be 220 - 240 V~
- Extension cables up to 25 m long must have a cross-section of 1.5 mm

- Waste electrical and electronic equipment can be handed in free of charge at the following places: - Public disposal or collection points (e.g. municipal works yards) - Points of sale of electrical appliances (stationary and online), provided that dealers are obliged to take them back or oer to do so voluntarily. - Up to three waste electrical devices per type of device, with an edge length of no more than 25 centimetres, can be returned free of charge to the manufacturer without prior purchase of a new device from the manufacturer or taken to another authorised collection point in your vicinity. - Further supplementary take-back conditions of the manufacturers and distributors can be ob- tained from the respective customer service.
- If the manufacturer delivers a new electrical appli- ance to a private household, the manufacturer can arrange for the free collection of the old electrical appliance upon request from the end user. Please contact the manufacturer’s customer service for this.
- These statements only apply to devices installed and sold in the countries of the European Union and which are subject to the European Directive 2012/19/EU. In countries outside the European Un- ion, dierent regulations may apply to the disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment.
10.2.1 Storage power cord, hose and accessories
- The power cord (6) can be stored in the compart- ment located at the side of the compressor as shown in gure 3.
- The air hose can be stored in the tool compartment.
10.3 Service information
Please note that the following parts of this product are subject to normal or natural wear and that the fol- lowing parts are therefore also required for use as consumables. Wear parts*: coupling

12. Disposal and recycling
Notes for packaging The packaging materials are recy- clable. Please dispose of packag- ing in an environmentally friendly manner. Notes on the electrical and electronic equipment act [ElektroG] Waste electrical and electronic equipment does not belong in household waste, but must be collected and disposed of sepa- rately!
- Used batteries or rechargeable batteries that are not installed permanently in the old appliance must be removed non-destructively before disposal. Their disposal is regulated by the battery law.
- Owners or users of electrical and electronic devices are legally obliged to return them after use.
- The end user is responsible for deleting their per- sonal data from the old device being disposed of!
- The symbol of the crossed-out dustbin means that waste electrical and electronic equipment must not be disposed of with household waste.www.scheppach.com
Fault Possible cause Remedy The compressor does not start. No supply voltage. Check the supply voltage, the power plug and the socket-outlet. Insucient supply voltage. Make sure that the extension cable is not too long. Use an extension cable with large enough wires. Outside temperature is too low. Never operate with an outside tempera- ture of below +5° C. Motor is overheated. Allow the motor to cool down. If neces- sary, remedy the cause of the overheat- ing. The compressor starts but there is no pressure. The non-return valve leaks. Have a service center replace the non-re- turn valve. The seals are damaged. Check the seals and have any damaged seals replaced by a service center. The compressor starts, pressure is shown on the pressure gauge, but the tools do not start. The hose connections have a leak. Check the compressed air hose and tools and replace if necessary. A quick-lock coupling has a leak. Check the quick-lock coupling and re- place if necessary.www.scheppach.com
