The Original Accessory Peg-Pérego

• The "Base i-Size" with Isofix attachment system is installed in the vehicle using the Isofix anchors located between the vehicle seat and backrest.
• In the car, the "Viaggio FF105" child seat is attached using the ISOFIX system combined with the i-Size Base.
• Please read the "i-SIZE BASE" instructions manual for the vehicle installation procedure.

Product characteristics

• This car seat can only be used forward facing.
• Suitable for children whose height is between 71 and 105cm and whose weight is no more than 20 kg.
• Your child should travel in a rear-facing seat until he/she reaches the specified weight/height limits.
• This car seat uses an "i-Size" type of child restraint system. It is approved in compliance with Regulation no. 129, suitable for "i-Size-compatible" vehicles, as specified by the vehicle manufacturer in the care and maintenance booklet. If you have any doubts, please speak to the device manufacturer or to the retailer.
• This car seat can only be used with the i-Size Base. In this configuration, the car seat can be fixed in vehicles with approved ISOFIX positions (please read the instructions manual for details), based on the child seat's category and structure.
• Consult the list of car models and seats equipped with ISOFIX anchor systems (see inside) that have been approved by the restraining system manufacturer. Contact the restraining device manufacturer

or retailer if you have doubts or require further information on the fitting of the Base i-Size in specific cars.

• This car seat is equipped with Kinetic Pods for better protection in the event of side collisions

WARNING

• Read the instructions carefully before use and keep them in the holder provided for future reference. Failure to closely follow the car seat installation instructions will put your child at risk.
  The assembly and installation operations must be conducted by adults.
  Always use a car seat when in the car. Never remove the child from the car seat when the vehicle is in motion.

• Never leave a child alone and unsupervised in a car, not even for a short time. The temperature inside the vehicle can change rapidly and become dangerous for the child inside.

• Install this car seat only on seats facing the direction of travel. If the vehicle has rotating or repositionable seats, position them facing the direction of travel.

• Check that the child car seat is not blocked by a moving part of the seat or a door.
• Scrupulously follow installation instructions; do not use installation methods other than those recommended because they could cause detachment of the car seat.
  Always use the harness when using this car seat.
• Adjust the height and tension of the shoulder straps ensuring that they are snug to the child's body without constricting him/her too much. Check that the harness is not twisted and that the child does not release it.
  To avoid the risk of falling, always use the car seat harness even for transport outside the vehicle.
• The car seat is not a substitute for a cot; if the child needs to sleep it is important to lie him/her down.
• Do not use the child car seat if it is broken or if there are missing parts, or if it has been subjected to heavy impacts as a result of accidents, as it may have suffered structural damage which is not visible but is extremely hazardous.

• Do not use the car seat without its fabric cover; this must not be replaced with one not approved by the manufacturer since it is an integral part of the car seat and the safety system.

• Do not remove or replace the white part in polystyrene in the headrest, as it is essential for safety purposes.

• Do not leave the car seat in the vehicle when exposed to the sun. Some parts might heat up and be harmful to the delicate skin of the child -check before placing the child in the seat.
• Do not modify the product.
• Do not remove the adhesive and stitched labels since this might make the product non compliant with legal requirements.
• For any repairs, replacement parts and information about the product, contact the after-sales assistance service. Contact information is provided on the last page of this manual.
• Do not use accessories not approved by the manufacturer or by the competent authorities.
• If using a second-hand product, make sure it is a recent model, comes with instructions, and is fully functional in all parts. An obsolete product may not conform to safety standards, due to natural ageing of materials and updating of regulations. If you have any doubts, contact the manufacturer's customer service centre.

• Make sure there are no items of luggage or other unsecured items in the vehicle interior. They could injure the vehicle's occupants in the event of an accident.

• Never put hot drinks in the cup holder, if present.

Instructions for use with base

1 Attach Viaggio FF105 in forward facing position by positioning it onto the i-Size Base on the attachment points and pushing down until it clicks (fig_a). Check that the red/green indicators, near the leg of the base, are in green position (fig_b).
2 To detach Viaggio FF105 from the i-Size Base, pull

the lever that is in the front and under the seat and, at the same time, lift the seat.

3 To adjust the car seat's inclination, rotate the knob until the seat is in the desired position
4 Viaggio FF105 uses a 5-point harness to protect your child. Before placing the child on the seat. Act on the central release button and pull the straps, loosening the belts (fig_a). Do not pull the shoulder pads.

Open the chest clip following the procedure shown (fig_b), unfasten the safety belts by acting on the red button of the crotch strap's buckle (fig_c).

5 Attach the buckles to the side elastics and pull the crotch strap towards the front of the seat to make room for the child. Make sure the sitting area is free.
6 The headrest must be adjusted to match the child's height. There are several positions. To switch from a low to a higher position: pull the tongue at the centre of the head rest (1) upward; the head rest simultaneously lifts (2).
To switch from a high position to a lower one: pull the lever in the upper central part of the headrest upwards and, at the same time, push the headrest down to the desired position.
When you have finished, slightly move the headrest to check it is properly locked into place.
7 Place the child in the car seat and arrange the harness over the child's shoulders and waist. The correct

height for the safety belts is when the belt slots on the backrest are at the same height of the shoulders or above (green area), as shown in the picture. Make sure the straps are not in the red area.

8 Attach the safety straps by overlapping the two belts (1) and inserting the metal hooks into the crotch strap buckle until it clicks (2). Attach the belt clip on the chest by combining the two parts as shown in the picture (3).
9 Tighten the buckles by pulling the adjustment strap towards you, making sure they fit well against your child's body at every point and that the clip is at the height of the sternum. CAUTION: Do not over-tighten the straps, and ensure you leave minimum slack.
10 When you have completed the operation, check the tension of the belts in every point (1-2-3-4-5). Check the shoulder pads fit well over the body.
11 To slacken the harness, insert a finger through the seat opening (1), keep the metal button pressed, and with the other hand pull on the straps (2).
12 important! In the winter, do not dress your child in bulky clothing before strapping him/her into the car seat. Do not position blankets between your child's body and the safety belts. This could cause incorrect positioning of the safety harness, with serious consequences in the event of a collision. Use a blanket or an approved Peg-Perego accessory to protect your child from the weather.

13The cup holder can be attached on either side, as shown in the picture.
14 To guarantee greater safety, the car seat is equipped with Kinetic Pods. Open the Kinetic Pod on the side near the car door (fig_a). To close it, pull the Kinetic Pod and fold it down into the specific hollow (fig_b).
15 This car seat has a booster cushion for smaller children. Do not use it for children who are taller than 87 cm.

To remove the booster cushion, unfasten and widen the safety belts and slide the crotch strap through it without removing the central buckle.

Removing the soft cover

16 To remove the headrest's cover, pull out the belts at the side of the headrest and remove the cover as shown in the picture.
17 Open the shoulder pads and separate them from the belts.
18 Rotate the buckle that blocks the shoulder pads onto the back rest following the procedure (fig_a) and pull it through the eyelet (fig_b).
19 To remove the seat's cover, undo the 4 buttons on the back rest.
20 Lastly, pull out the cover of the central knob from the side of the seat (fig_a) and extract from above, as shown in (fig_b).

Maintenance of the padding

Brush the fabric parts to remove dust.

• When washing, closely follow the instructions stated on the label sewn into the cover.
• Do not use chlorine bleach.
• Do not iron.
• Do not dry clean.

Do not remove stains with solvents.

• Do not tumble dry.

• Proceed to perform the operations shown in figures 15 through 20 in reverse order.

• Clean the plastic parts periodically with a damp cloth. Do not use solvents or similar substances.

• Do not clean the polystyrene shock absorbing device with solvents or other similar products.
• Protect the product from atmospheric agents: humidity, rain or snow. Extended exposure to sunshine can cause colour changes in many materials.
• Store the product in a dry environment.
