Caution! Do not connect the appliance to the mains until the installation is fully complete.

USE

The hood is designed to be used either for

exhausting or filter version.

INSTALLATION

The mains power supply must correspond to the rating indicated on the plate situated inside the hood. If provided with a plug, connect the hood to a socket in compliance with current regulations and positioned in an accessible area, after installation. If it is not fitted with a plug (direct mains connection) or if the plug is not located in an accessible area, after installation, apply a double pole switch in accordance with standards which assures the complete disconnection of the mains under conditions relating to over-current category III in accordance with installation instructions.

Warning! Before re-connecting the hood circuit to the mains supply and checking the efficient function, always check that the mains cable is correctly assembled.

The minimum distance between the supporting surface for the cooking equipment on the hob and the lowest part of the range hood must be not less than 50 cm from electric cookers and 65 cm from gas or mixed cookers. If the instructions for installation for the gas hob specify a greater distance, this must be adhered to.

MAINTENANCE

ATTENTION! Before performing any maintenance operation, isolate the hood from the electrical supply by switching off at the connector and removing the connector fuse. Or if the appliance has been connected through a plug and socket, then the plug must be removed from the socket.

The cooker hood should be cleaned regularly (at least with the same frequency with which you carry out maintenance of the fat filters) internally and externally. Clean using a cloth dampened with neutral liquid detergent. Do not use abrasive products. DO NOT USE ALCOHOL!

Warning! Failure to carry out the basic cleaning recommendations of the cooker hood and replacement of the filters may cause fire risks. Therefore, we recommend observing these instructions. The manufacturer declines all responsibility for any damage to the motor or any fire damage linked to inappropriate maintenance or failure to observe the above safety recommendations.

Grease filter - The grease filter must be cleaned once a month using non aggressive detergents, either by hand or in the dishwasher, which must be set to a low temperature and a short cycle. When washed in a dishwasher, the grease filter may discolour slightly, but this does not affect its filtering capacity.

Charcoal filter - Type 20 LONG LIFE - Washable activated charcoal filter

The charcoal filter can be washed once every two months using hot water and a suitable detergent, or in a dishwasher at 65°C (if the dishwasher is used, select the full cycle function and leave dishes out). Eliminate excess water without damaging the filter, then remove the mattress located inside the plastic frame and put it in the oven for 10 minutes at 100°C to dry completely. Replace the mattress every 3 years and when the cloth is damaged.

Type 15 - NON-washable activated charcoal filter

The saturation of the charcoal filter occurs after more or less prolonged use, depending on the type of cooking and the regularity of cleaning of the grease filter. In any case it is necessary to replace the cartridge at least every four months.

The charcoal filter may NOT be washed or regenerated.

CONTROLS

The hood is fitted with a control panel with aspiration speed selection control and a light switch to control cooking area lights.

Use the high suction speed in cases of concentrated kitchen vapours. It is recommended that the cooker hood suction is switched on for 5 minutes prior to cooking and to leave in operation during cooking and for another 15 minutes approximately after terminating cooking.

INSTALLATION

The voltage in the mains must correspond to the voltage indicated on the rating plate of the hood, located on its inner side. If the hood is equipped with a plug, connect it to a socket that complies with current regulations and is accessible after installation. If it is not equipped with a plug (direct connection to the mains), or if the plug is not accessible after installation, install a two-pole switch in accordance with the regulations, ensuring proper disconnection from the mains with a contact opening of at least 3 mm, in accordance with installation rules.

Attention! Before connecting the hood to the mains and checking that it functions correctly, check that the cable is installed as required.

The minimum distance between the surface on which the cooking vessels are placed and the lower part of the kitchen hood must be not less than 50 cm for electric cookers and not less than 65 cm for gas or combined cookers. If the instructions for the gas cooking appliance specify a greater distance, this must be respected.

MAINTENANCE

Attention! Before any operation connected with cleaning or maintenance, remove the plug from the socket and remove the filter from the appliance. Then remove the main filter from the appliance.

The appliance should be cleaned regularly (or after each use, clean the filter), including the inside and outside. Use a soft cloth and neutral cleaning agents.

Avoid cleaning agents that contain abrasives. Caution! Never clean with spirits!

Attention! Failure to follow the cleaning and filter maintenance instructions may result in fire hazard. Follow the instructions strictly! We accept no responsibility for any damage caused by fire resulting from incorrect maintenance or failure to follow these instructions! Motor filter – clean once a month with neutral cleaning agents. It may be washed in a dishwasher at low temperature and short washing cycle. Note: The motor filter in the dishwasher may become discolored, but this in no way affects its filtering capacity.

Type 20 LONG LIFE – replaceable active carbon filter

The active carbon filter should be replaced every two months with warm water and suitable cleaning agents or in a dishwasher at 65°C (follow the washing instructions; the dishwasher must not contain other dishes).

Rinse the filter thoroughly, remove the carbon pad from the plastic frame and place it in the oven for 10 minutes at 100°C to dry completely.

The carbon pad should be replaced every 3 years or when you notice it is saturated.

Type 15 – replaceable active carbon filter

The active carbon filter becomes saturated approximately after a certain period of use depending on the type of cooking and how often you clean the filter.

In any case, it is necessary to replace the active carbon filter every four months or when the filter saturation indicator shows it is necessary.

Do not use it again.

CONTROLS

The appliances are equipped with a control panel with speed adjustment for suction and lighting control for the hob.

With the transfer to the machine for washing dishes, the metal oil filter can release a small amount of water; its characteristics for filtering are not changed.

Type 20 LONG LIFE - filter with activated carbon can be washed

The carbon filter can be washed every few months in warm water and with a non-staining detergent in the dishwasher at 65°C (the dishwasher transfer without dishes can be filled with a complete rinse without dishes inside).

Rinse the filter under running water without damaging it, then remove the filter element placed inside the plastic part and place it in the oven for 10 minutes at 100°C for complete drying.

Replace the filter element every 3 years whenever it is worn out.

Type 15 - filter with activated carbon cannot be washed

The saturation of the carbon filter occurs more or less quickly depending on the type of cooking and the regularity of cleaning the oil filter. In any case, it is necessary to replace the filter at least every 4 months.

It cannot be washed or regenerated.

The aspirator is adjusted with a control panel with a speed regulator for suction and a regulator for the lighting of the hob.

After washing in the dishwasher, the metal grease filter may lose its shine (slightly oxidized) but its filtering capacity will not be affected.

Type 20 LONG LIFE - Activated carbon filter that can be regenerated

The carbon filter can be regenerated every three months in hot water in the dishwasher at a temperature of 65°C (in case of washing in the dishwasher, include a complete wash cycle without other dishes inside the machine).

Replace the bulb with a new one of the same type and power, after letting it cool for at least 10 minutes at a temperature below 100°C to avoid burns. Replace the bulb every 3 years or whenever the material shows signs of wear.

Type 15 - filter made of activated carbon that must NOT be washed

Lamp: 12V-20W, G4 base, not

Do not touch the bulb with bare hands.

Danger of burns! Before replacing the lamp, ensure the device is unplugged and has cooled down completely. Do not touch the lamp until it has cooled. If the lamp is damaged, do not use it and replace it immediately.
