Frequently Asked Questions - KLS 1600 ATIKA

How to use the vacuum in suction mode?
Make sure the collection bag is properly attached and the zipper is closed. Turn on the appliance and move it slowly over the leaves. Do not force the appliance into leaf piles. Empty the bag when full.
How to switch to blowing mode?
Remove the collection bag and suction hose. Attach the blowing nozzle or blowing hose. Turn on the appliance and direct the airflow to the areas to be cleaned. Use the nozzle for flat surfaces and the hose for difficult corners.
What can I vacuum with this appliance?
It is designed to vacuum light, dry materials such as leaves, grass, small twigs, and small pieces of paper. Never vacuum metal, stones, glass, hot materials, liquids, or flammable products.
How to maintain the collection bag?
Empty the bag after each use. Shake and brush it. Wash it by hand with soapy water if very dirty, at least once a year. Regularly check the condition of the zipper and the bag; replace if damaged.
What to do if the motor does not start?
First check the electrical supply (outlet, 10 A fuse). Inspect the power cord for damage. If everything is in order, the motor or switch may be defective; contact after-sales service.
What are the important safety instructions?
Always wear safety goggles and noise-cancelling headphones. Use a 30 mA residual current device. Do not work in rain or on wet surfaces. Keep children and animals at a distance (at least 5 m). Stop the appliance before any intervention.
How to adjust the height of the vacuum?
Loosen the rotary knob on the handle. Move the handle up or down to adjust the height of the suction connection. For flat ground, set the connection flat; for lawns or uneven terrain, tilt it.
Can I use the appliance as a shredder?
Yes, in suction mode, leaves are shredded before being collected in the bag. This reduces volume. Make sure the bag is in place and the zipper is closed for optimal operation.
How to store the appliance after use?
Clean the appliance and the collection bag. Store it in a dry, locked place out of reach of children. For prolonged storage, perform a thorough cleaning and check the general condition of the machine.
