Usage

Before first use

Upon receipt of the goods, check the packaging for integrity and open it. If the packaging is damaged, please contact your transport company and distributor within 3 days, and document the damages in as much detail as possible. Do not turn the package upside down! When transporting the package, please ensure that it is kept horizontal and stable.

Disposing of packaging

Please keep all packaging materials (cardboard, plastic tapes and Styrofoam), so that in case of a problem, the device can be sent back to the service centre in accurate condition.

Installing the appliance

Appliance location

The temperature of environment must not be higher than 45 °C and the relative humidity should be less than 85%. Ensure good ventilation in the room in which the device is used. The distance between the back of the device and the wall should be at least 20 cm, minimum distance between the sides of the device and the walls should be at least 10 cm on each side and 35 cm between the top of the device and the ceiling. Keep the device away from hot surfaces. Operate the device on flat, stable, clean, refractory and dry surfaces out of the reach of children and people with mental disabilities. Install the device making sure that constant access to the main plug is ensured. The power cord connected to the appliance must be properly grounded and correspond to the technical details. Before first use, remove all elements and clean them along with the entire device.

Mount the basket support tube and the filter basket inside the tank then pour water into the tank. Do not fill the coffee maker above the "100" level on the water indicator. Place a filter into the basket and fill with coffee. The amount of coffee should reflect the volume of water in the tank and user preferences. Place the lid on top of the tank and twist clockwise until firmly closed. Then plug the power cable into a socket and switch the percolator on using the ON/OFF switch. The red "HEATING" light will be on when the coffee is brewing. Once the coffee is brewed the red light will go off and the green "WARM" light will come on. The coffee percolator will automatically maintain a high water temperature, to make sure the coffee is always hot. To pour coffee, place an appropriate container on the drip tray (glass, mug, cup, etc.) and push the valve down. Once the desired amount is dispensed, release the valve. When not in use, make sure the ON/OFF switch is in the "OFF" position. Before pouring out the remaining coffee and cleaning out the filter and coffee grounds wait until they've cooled down. Check water level when in use - brew fresh coffee when required. Turn the percolator off if the water level falls below the required minimum on the water level indicator (30).

Please note! The device features overheating detector. It will activate when water evaporates or when water level is below the allowable level and the device is still on. If this happens a protection will trip and switch the device off. In such a case wait until the device cools down then drain water from the tank, turn the device 180° (upside down) and press the reset button (marked as "Reset button"). Now the device can be used again.

Do not turn the coffee maker on without water! This may damage the percolator and invalidate the guarantee!

Assembly / disassembly of the device's elements:

1. Assemble all elements before turning on. Make sure the drip tray is attached using both mounting points.

1. Mount the basket support tube and the filter basket inside the tank. To do that, slide the filter basket over the support tube and insert the tube into the opening at the bottom of the tank.

Transportation and storage

Shaking, crashing and turning upside down of the device should be prevented when transporting it. Store it in a properly ventilated location with dry air and without any corrosive gas.

Cleaning and maintenance

• Disconnect from electricity when cleaning equipment.
• Use cleaner without corrosive substances to clean surface.
• Dry all parts well after cleaning before the device is used again.
• Store the unit in a dry, cool location, free from moisture and direct exposure to sunlight.

Scale removal

When using hard water scale may build up in the water tank. The sediment may extend the time necessary to heat water in the tank and lead to damage of the device. To avoid sediments in the tank use filtered water. Descale the percolator regularly using generally available descaling substances suitable for coffee makers.

Regular control of the device

Regularly control whether the device is damaged. If it should be damaged, please stop using it immediately and contact your customer service to solve the problem.

What to do in case of a problem?

Please contact your customer service and prepare the following information:

• Invoice number and serial number (the latter is to be found on the technical plate on the device).
• If relevant, a picture of the damaged, broken or defective part.
- It will be easier for your customer service clerk to determine the source of the problem if you give a detailed and precise description of the matter. Avoid ambiguous formulations like “the device does not heat”, which may mean either that it does not heat enough or that it does not heat at all. The more detailed your information, the better the customer service will be able to solve your problem rapidly and efficiently!

CAUTION: Never open the device without the authorization of your customer service. This can lead to a loss of warranty!
