ThisGLORIAdeviceisintendedforprivateuseinthehouseandgarden.

The appliance is intended solely for the removal of growth between paving stones, on paved surfaces, on masonry walls, and in beds and in lawns during the growing season.

5 Assembly

NOTE!
■ Assembly the device in accordance with the illustrations ① – ② see page 3.
■ Ensure that the cable is fed as shown in Fig. 2.
This must lie in a loop in the housing and must not protrude from the housing. The casing must be easy to fit in place. Ensure that the cable is not pinched or damaged.
6 Commissioning

WARNING! Danger or death by fire and/or explosion!
Improper use of the device poses a risk of serious injury or death! You should therefore observe the following safety instructions:
■ Only operate the device in the open air.
- The "air inlet openings" E must not be blocked or covered.
- Ensure that the air outlet openings on the 'conical nozzle' J are not blocked, or the „conical nozzle' J is not twisted and is thus hinders the hot air flow.
■ Never direct the hot air stream at the connection cable or at flammable or explosive substances.
6.1 Operation

3 Slide the loop of the extension cable into the designated „cable cleat“ B in the „handle“ A and fix it in the designated clip (see Figure 3).

NOTE!
■ The performance of the equipment may decrease if unnecessarily long extension cables (>25 m) are used.
■ If cable reels are used, unroll the entire cable.
■ The cross-section of the cable used must be 1.5 mm ^4 .
4 Useanextensioncabletoconnectthedevicetoapoweroutlet(230VAC)(seeFigure4).
5 Turn on the device by pressing the „ON/OFF button“ D in the „handle“ A. Fulloperatingtemperaturewillbereachedafterapprox.1 minute(seeFigure5).

CAUTION
■ Riskofburnscausedbyhotair!
Neverdirectthehotairstreamathumansoranimals.
Risk of burns caused by hot parts!! Do not touch „conical jet“ J or „heat shield“ I.
- Duringbreaksinwork, releasethe „ON/OFFbutton“Dandplacethedevicewiththe „supportstand“Fopenedonalevelfireproofsurface(seeFigure8).
5 Toeradicateweeds, direct the „conicalnozzle“ Jattheplanttobetreated for 5-10 seconds according to the type of plant (see Figure 5).
6 Inthecaseoftallplants,firstonlybrieflyheattheuppersectionoftheplantandthen directthe„conicalnozzle“Jattheshrunkenplantforapprox.5-10sec.(seeFigure6).
6.2Userinformation
■ Afaintodourmaybereleasedinthecourseoffirst-timeoperation.Thisisnotharmfulto thedevice.
■ The device is particularly suitable for theremovalofweeds.
- The device is most effective if the plan has a high-sap content. The best time for treating wild growth this in the spring. The effect is more intense, they younger the growth this. However, the results are not immediately visible. Visible part of the plant can also be burned as part of longer exposure time.

- Olderplantswithhardleaves,suchasthistles,willdryoutafterseveraltreatmentatintervalsofonetotwoweeks.Sclerophyllousgrassesareextremelyrobustandrequirealongertimefortheheattotakeeffect.
■ Intheinitialphase, wildgrowthgrowingon/throughsurfaces should be treated briefly several times. Only then are lasting results guaranteed. After this, treatments at longer intervals will be sufficient.
- Weedsneedonlybeheated.Itisnotnecessarytoburnthem.ThisdriesouttheCellsofthe leavesandtheweeddiesback.
■ Certainweedspeciesrequirerepeatedtreatment.
- 7 Thedeviceisalsosuitableforrekindlingglowingembersinacharcoalgrillintheopen air.Holdtheconicalnozzleoftheswitched-ondeviceclosetothecharcoal.Assoonas thecharcoalembersbegintoglow,thehotairflowwillrekindletheflame.Thenhold thedevicefurtherawayfromthecharcoal.

CAUTION! Firehazardcausedbyflyingsparks!
■ Holdthedeviceatadistancefromthecharcoaltoavoidsparks.
7Decommissioningandstorage
7.1 Decommissioning
- Takethedeviceoutofoperationbyreleasingthe„ON/OFFbutton“Dinthehandle.
■ Disconnectthedevicefromthepowersupply.

- The „conical nozzle“ J and „heat shield“ I will remain hot even once the device has been switchedoff.
