SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS - Read the instructions carefully before use. - Insert the device’s power plug to an earthed power socket. - Take special care when children are near the device. Do not let anyone touch the device during steam ironing.

Do not immerse the device, cable or plug in water or other liquids! - Do not leave the device unattended if connected to the mains. - Do not hang the cable on sharp edges or allow it to come into contact with hot surfaces.

Regularly check the power cord and the connecting hose for any damage.

Never use a damaged device, including one with a damaged cord or plug, in which case have it repaired at an authorised service centre. - Always unplug the device when not in use.

Before cleaning, assembling or disassembling the device, unplug it from the mains socket and wait until it has cooled down completely. - Disconnect the device from the mains before filling in or emp- tying the tank. - Never touch the device’s soleplate when it is on! - Fill the tank with water only. It is recommended to use distilled water to avoid limescale buildup on the device’s internal parts. - Do not add any chemical agents to the water in the tank - they may damage the device.

To avoid burns, do not touch the device’s hot metal parts, hot water or steam. - Do not use the device for purposes other than those for which it was intended. - The device is intended for domestic use only. - Do not use the device outdoors. - Do not open the water tank’s cover when using the device. - Place the device on a stable surface when not in use - Do not use the device if it fell down, shows signs of damage or leaks.

This equipment may be used by children of at least 8 years of age and by persons of diminished physical, mental capacity and lack of experience and knowledge of the equipment if supervision or30

When putting the iron away on the stand, make sure the surface on which the stand is placed is stable.

1. Take the device out of the box and remove all protecting cardboard and foil.

2. Unwind and straighten the cord before use.

CAUTION! A smoke may come out of the device during the first use. This phenomenon stops after a short while.

1. Make sure the device is not connected to the mains.

2. Remove the water tank (6).

3. Remove the water filler cap (6a).

4. Fill the tank with water to the maximum level.

ATTENTION! To prevent scale formation, always use fresh demineralized or distilled water. Do not use chemically descaled water or any other liquids.

5. Close the water filler hole (6a).

6. Put the water tank back into the device.

INSTALLATION OF ACCESSORIES

1. In order to put on the overlay, disconnect the device from the power source and wait until it

cools down completely.

2. Then, holding the device firmly with one hand, put on the brush with the other so that the

protrusions in the attachment fit into the recesses in the working part of the device; a “click” will be heard if lock will be placed correctly. To remove the cap, hold the device firmly and pull the handle at the bottom of the cap. CAUTION! Always unplug the steamer from the power supply before attaching or re- moving the brush attachment. Warning! The steam soleplate may still be hot. The brushes improve the penetration of steam into thick and heavy fabrics, allowing faster results. Brush attachments are intended for use with steam.32

USING THE FOOD PROCESSOR

1. Connect the power cord plug (7) to a grounded power socket. The indicator light (4) will start

2. The steamer heats up and is ready for use after about 30 seconds. This is signalled by the

constant lighting of the control lamp (4).

3. When the device is ready to use, press the steam activation button (5). Before starting ironing,

direct the steam stream away from the clothing for a few seconds, as the initial steam stream may contain drops of water.

To make it easier to iron items of clothing, hang them on a hanger. For shirts with buttons, fasten the first button at the collar to make it easier to straighten the fabric. CAUTION! Do not support the fabric with your unprotected hand during steam ironing. Do not place the steam foot on the power cord after use. Steam ironing may cause small wet spots on the garment. Clothing may also be slightly damp due to steam. At the end of your session, let your garment dry before putting it on or putting it back on. ATTENTION! The steamer is designed to be used vertically and horizontally. The de

vice should not be turned upside down. CAUTION! The work of the water pump can be heard as a soft hum initiating by press

ing the steam button. If there is no water in the tank, the operation of the pump will be louder. If such situation occurs, the water tank should be refilled. The device is equipped with an automatic shut-off function. This function is launched when the device is not used for a long time. This function is signalled by the blinking of the control lamp (4). CAUTION! The device produces steam at a very high temperature! Risk of scalding! Do not direct the vapor stream at people or animals!

4. Put the device in a safe place in an upright position and wait for it to cool down.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

CAUTION! Never submerge the device in water or rinse it under running water

CAUTION! To keep the surface of the foot unscratched, the device should not be placed near any metal objects. Do not use scourers, vinegar or other chemicals to clean the foot.

2. Wipe the housing of the device with a damp cloth.

3. Regularly rinse the tank with water (6) and empty it after rinsing.

4. Always store the empty device in an upright position on a stable surface.

6. Always make sure that the steam outlets are clean and free of debris.

TROUBLESHOOTING Problem Possible solution The steamer will not heat up Check if the power cord plug is properly connected. Check if power is available. Check the switch. The steamer will not generate steam Check the water level and the correct closure of the water filler cap. Press the steam trigger harder. Hold the steamer upright. Water is leaking from the tank Check that the water level is not too high - just under the cap. Check that the water filler cap is closed properly. There is a loud buzzing or pumping noise coming from the steamer Check the water level, if it is low or if there is no water at all, fill the tank. Wrinkles cannot be easily removed with a steamer For best ironing results, hold the steamer upright and straighten the fabric by pulling downwards. When to use a brush for thicker fabrics A brush for thicker fabrics should be used if the steam comes into direct contact with the fabric being ironed. For ironing delicate fabrics, e.g. silk, to reduce the risk of water dripping onto the garment during ironing. How to avoid discoloration of metal decorative elements on clothing Do not stop the steamer directly over metal parts on the garment. Be cautious around such items.34
