Read these safety instructions, these original operating instructions, the safety instructions provided with the battery pack and the operating instructions supplied with the battery pack and charger before using the device for the first time. Act in accordance with them. Keep the booklets for future reference or for future owners.

- Never operate the device without the blower tube installed.

- Read through the instructions carefully. Familiarise yourself with the controls and the correct use of the device.
- Never allow the device to be used by persons who are unfamiliar with these instructions. The age of the operator may be limited by local regulations. Always wear sturdy footwear and long trousers when operating the device.
- Do not wear loose clothes or jewellery which can be suctioned into the air inlet. Keep long hair away from the air inlets.
- Wear suitable safety goggles during operation.
- Only operate the device in daylight or under good artificial lighting.
- Do not overextend yourself and keep your balance at all times. Always ensure that you have good footing on slopes.
- Walk with the device, do not run.
- Keep all cooling inlets free of dirt.
- Never blow dirt in the direction of nearby persons.
- Tighten all nuts, bolts and screws to ensure that the device is in a safe operating state.
- Replace worn or damaged parts.
- Only use original spare parts and accessories.
Intended use

The device is intended for blowing leaf litter, grass clippings, hedge clipping and loose dirt lying on the ground. Only use the device in private households.

Blower pipe installation
- Plug the blower tube lower section onto the blower tube upper section. Illustration C
- Turn the blower tube clockwise to lock in position (bayonet lock). Illustration D
Turn the blower tube anticlockwise to unlock and remove.
Flat nozzle installation
- Plug the flat nozzle onto the lower section of the blower tube. See Illustration B.
Initial startup
Inserting the battery pack
ATTENTION
Dirty contacts
Damage to the device and battery. Check the battery mount and the contacts for soiling and clean them as necessary before inserting the battery.

- Push the battery into the mounting in the device until it audibly latches into place.
Removing the battery

- Press the unlocking button.
- Remove the battery from the device.
Switch the device on and off
Use the power switch to switch the device on and off.
- Slide the power switch forwards to position "1" or "2" (LBL 4 battery only).
The device starts up.
- Slide the power switch backwards.
The device stops.

Troubleshooting guide
Malfunctions often have simple causes that you can remedy yourself using the following overview. When in doubt, or in the case of malfunctions not mentioned here, please contact your authorised Customer Service.
As the battery pack ages, even if it is looked after, its capacity reduces such that the full run time will no longer be reached when fully charged. This does not indicate a defect.

Faults on the device
The device does not start up
The battery pack is not inserted correctly.
- Push the battery pack into the mounting in the device until it audibly latches into place.
The battery pack is discharged.
- Charge the battery pack.
The battery pack is in sleep mode.
- Press and hold the power switch longer or press the power switch a second time.
The battery pack is defective.
- Replace the battery pack.
The device stops during operation.
The battery has overheated.
- Stop working and allow the battery to cool down to the permissible temperature range. This can take a few minutes.

Do not allow hair to enter the air intake opening area. During operation, use protective goggles. Operate the device only in daylight or with good artificial lighting. Do not overexert yourself; always maintain balance. Always maintain a stable stance on slopes. Walk, do not run. Do not allow the air intake openings to become clogged. Under no circumstances blow debris towards bystanders. - Tighten all nuts, bolts, and screws securely to
ensure the device is in a safe working condition.

With increasing service life, the capacity of the battery block will decrease even with good care, so even with a full charge, the full operating time will no longer be ensured. This is not a defect.

The battery pack is installed incorrectly. 1. Push the battery pack into the compartment until it clicks. The battery pack is discharged. 1. Charge the battery pack. The battery pack is in sleep mode. 1. Press the device power button for more than 5 seconds. The battery pack is faulty. 1. Replace the battery pack.
The device stops during operation
Battery overheating
- Stop working and let the battery cool down to a temperature below the permissible temperature range. This may take several minutes.

We will fix possible device malfunctions free of charge during the warranty period, if they are caused by material defects or manufacturing defects. General safety instructions
DANGER Danger of suffocation. Keep the packaging away from children.
WARNING
- People with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, may use the device only under supervision or if they have been instructed by the person responsible for their safety regarding the safe use of the device and if they understand the dangers arising from misuse of the device. Children must not use the device.
- Children must be supervised to ensure they do not play with the device. Warning: Do not use the device if the working area is occupied by other people or animals.
Safety instructions
Never point the device at people or animals. Use the device only outdoors. Regularly check the device for damage. If damaged, do not
operate the device.
Do not blow into the exhaust pipe of the device. Do not work with the device without the exhaust pipe installed. Do not cover the suction opening. Keep the area around the suction opening free of objects. Pay attention to the instructions for the battery and act accordingly. Read the manual carefully. Follow the maintenance and proper use instructions. Never allow the device to be used by people who are not familiar with this manual. The operator must be at least 18 years old. During work with the device, wear protective clothing and non-slip shoes. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry that could be caught in the air intake. Keep your hair
away from the air intakes.
- Use the device only in daylight or in well-artificially lit areas. Do not lean over the device.
- When assembling, make sure the device stands stably on its legs. Use the device with care, do not push it. Before starting, check all air intakes for blockages. Never operate the device near people. Tighten all nuts, bolts, and screws to ensure the device is in a safe working condition. Replace worn or damaged parts.
- Use only original spare parts and accessories.

Many places can be considered damaged. With the help of the elementary instructions, you can fix them yourself. If you are not sure or the damages are not described here, contact the authorized service. With the increase of the battery capacity, the initial power is good, so even in a fully charged state, the device does not reach its full working time. This is not a defect.

- Press the battery into the compartment until it clicks. The battery is not rechargeable.
- Charge the battery. The battery is charging.
- Press the device switch more firmly or turn it on.
The battery is defective.
