Assembly Fitting the battery (fig. C) ◆ Remove the battery cover (14) from the tool. ◆ Insert the batteries into the tool in the orientation as shown. ◆ Refit the cover and let it click into place. Wall mounting (fig. B & D) The tool can be mounted to walls using one of the wall mounts (12 or 13). Wall pin If the tool is mounted to drywall or other soft materials, the wall pin (12) must be used. The position of the laser line will line up with the mounting location of the pin. ◆ Remove the protective cap (15) from the pin (16) and store it on the insert as shown (fig. D). ◆ Hold the wall pin at the required height in front of a suitable location and press the pin straight into the wall. ◆ Install the tool by hanging the holder (4) on the wall mount. Warning! The pin of the insert is sharp and should be handled with care. Replace the protective cap immediately after removing the insert from the wall. Keyhole wall mount For surfaces other than drywall, the keyhole wall mount (13) can be used with a screw in a predrilled hole. The position of the laser line will line up with the mounting location of the screw. ◆ Hang the wall mount on a screw mounted at the required height on a suitable location. ◆ Install the tool by hanging the holder (4) on the wall mount. Use Using the laser level function (fig. E & F) Using the laser in auto-leveling mode ◆ Hang the tool on the wall using the appropriate wall mount. ◆ Push the on/off switch (1) up to switch the tool on in auto- leveling mode. The auto levelling indicator (17) will light up and swing while the tool is calibrating. Note: the laser lines will only be level if the tool is kept within 5° from vertical. ◆ Push the on/off switch (1) down to switch the tool off. Using the laser in locked/layout mode When operating in the locked/layout mode, the tool can be held in horizontal position, for surface layout such as flooring and tiling. ◆ Place the tool flat on the floor. ◆ Push the on/off switch (1) down to switch the tool on in locked/layout mode. The locked/layout indicator (18) will light up. ◆ Move the tool as necessary to position the laser lines. ◆ Push the on/off switch (1) up to switch the tool off. Using the measurer function Switching on and off (fig. A) ◆ To switch the tool on, press key (7). ◆ To switch the tool off, press key (7) again. Setting the reference point (fig. Wait for the ready-for-use indicator (24) to light up before continuing. Note: After 2 minutes of inactivity the LCD screen will go blank.6 ENGLISH Repeating distances (fig. A & E) The distance repeat function allows for multiple measurement of the distance measured initially. ◆ Measure the first distance. ◆ Press key (9). The repeat distance indicator (25) will light up. ◆ Measure the following distance. – When the target distance point is approached at 7.5 cm (3"), a single arrow (26) lights up from the direction the tool is approaching, and the buzzer sounds, producing long beeps. – When the target distance point is approached at 2.5 cm (1"), a double arrow (26) lights up from the direction the tool is approaching, and the buzzer sounds, producing short beeps. – When the target distance point is reached, the double arrows (26) from both directions light up, and the buzzer sounds continuously for a few seconds. ◆ Repeat the previous instructions as many times as required for the remaining distances. ◆ To reset the tool without losing the stored information, press key (11) briefly. Wait for the ready-for-use indicator (24) to light up before continuing. Equal spacing (fig. A & E) The equal spacing function allows for an equal layout in several sections of the distance measured initially. ◆ Measure the distance. ◆ Press key (10). The equal spacing indicator (27) will light up. ◆ Press key (10) as many times as required, depending on the number of sections. This number will appear on the LCD screen. The max number of sections that can be set is 9. ◆ Measure the first section distance. ◆ Repeat the previous instructions as many times as required for the remaining section distances. ◆ To reset the tool without losing the stored information, press key (11) briefly. Wait for the ready-for-use indicator (24) to light up before continuing. Low battery indicator (fig.
