Frequently Asked Questions - R9 DUAL Navitel

How do I install the microSD card?
Insert the microSD card into the slot with the label facing up. Use a high-speed card (Class U3 or above) with capacity between 8-64 GB. Format the card inside the DVR before first use via the Menu option 'Format SD-card'.
How do I connect to the Navitel DVR Center app?
Download the app from your app store. Enable Wi-Fi on the DVR (Menu > Wi-Fi > On). On your phone, connect to the DVR's Wi-Fi network (SSID shown in DVR's Menu > Wi-Fi Navitel). Open the app and select your DVR. Default password can be changed in DVR's Menu > Wi-Fi password.
How do I enable parking monitor?
Parking monitor automatically activates when the device is shutdown and detects vibration. Ensure the DVR is connected to constant power (car charger). In Menu, check that Parking Monitor is enabled (default should be on). When vibration is detected, the DVR will turn on and start recording, locking the file.
How do I lock a recording file?
To lock the current recording, press the Power button during recording (REC mode). A lock icon will appear. To lock existing files, go to Video or Photo mode, select a file, press Menu, choose Protect, then Lock Current or Lock All. Locked files cannot be deleted or overwritten.
What does the G-sensor do?
The G-sensor (accelerometer) detects impact or sudden movement. If a collision is detected, the DVR automatically locks the current video file to prevent overwriting. The sensitivity can be adjusted in the Settings menu.
Can I use the dashcam without external power?
The built-in battery is only for short-term use like parking monitor or proper shutdown. For full operation, the DVR must be connected to a constant 5V 2.5A power source via the car charger. Without external power, recording time is limited.
How do I format the SD card?
Go to Menu, select 'Format SD-card' and confirm. This is necessary before first use or if data errors occur. Formatting will erase all data on the card. Use only within the DVR, not on a computer.
How do I switch between front and rear camera views?
In Video or Photo mode, hold down the Menu button for 2 seconds to toggle between front and rear camera files. The file name indicates the camera: F for front, R for rear.
What does the GPS stamp function do?
When enabled (Menu > GPS Stamp > On), the DVR embeds GPS coordinates, speed, and time into the video recording. This information can be viewed on playback. The GPS Status option shows current satellite data.
How do I reset the device if it freezes?
If the device becomes unresponsive, press the Reset button using a paperclip or similar object. The button is located near the ports. This will restart the DVR without affecting saved files.
