How do I install the Navitel RS3 DUO WIDE dashcam?

Mount the front camera on the windshield using the suction mount, route the power cable to the cigarette lighter, and attach the rear camera to the rear windshield. Connect the rear camera cable to the front unit. Use the included GPS module if desired.

What type of memory card does it support?

It supports MicroSD cards up to 256 GB, Class 10 or UHS-I speed rating for smooth recording.

How do I enable parking mode?

Parking mode requires a hardwire kit (not included) or use of the built-in battery. In settings, enable Parking Mode and select motion or collision detection. The camera will record when triggered.

Does it have GPS?

Yes, the included GPS module records your speed and location, and can be used to embed coordinates in the video.

How to format the SD card?

Go to Settings > Format to format the SD card. It is recommended to format every few weeks to prevent file corruption.

What is loop recording and how does it work?

Loop recording automatically overwrites the oldest video files when the SD card is full. You can set clip lengths (1, 3, or 5 minutes) in the settings. Important files can be locked via G-sensor or manually.

Can I use it at night?

Yes, it has WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) and night vision capabilities for clear footage in low light.

How do I view recordings on my phone?

Use the Navitel Car Camera app (iOS/Android) connected via Wi-Fi. The camera creates a hotspot; connect to it and view or download files.

What to do if the camera freezes or stops recording?

Try resetting by holding the power button for 10 seconds. If it persists, format the SD card or try a different card. Update firmware via the Navitel website.

Is the rear camera waterproof?

No, the rear camera is not waterproof. It should be mounted inside the vehicle, preferably on the rear windshield.

Note. The built-in battery is designed only to record emergency events in parking mode and to turn off the device correctly when there is no power. For full operation of the device in any mode, a constant power connection is required.

Installation

1. Put the microSD card into the DVR. Use a high-speed SD card (Class U3 or above); capacity should be within 8-512 GB.

• To avoid malfunctions of the DVR and/or SD-card, don't insert and remove SD-card during DVR operation.
- Before using a microSD card, please format it inside the DVR to avoid data errors. For formatting the SD-card in Menu mode select Format SD-card and confirm it.

1. Secure the device on the windshield with the holder.
2. Connect the car charger to the cigarette lighter socket.
3. Connect the car charger to the DVR.
4. Adjust the camera position.
5. Check whether the device is installed correctly. Turn the DVR on, video recording will start automatically.

Precautions

• Use only the original charger adapter. Using another adapter may negatively affect the device's battery. Use accessories only approved by manufacturer.
- Permissible ambient temperature in operating mode: 0 to +35 °C. Storage temperature: +5 to +45 °C. Relative humidity: 5% to 90% without condensation (25 °C).
- Keep the device away from fire sources to avoid explosion or fire.
- Do not expose the device to physical impacts.
- Avoid contacting the device with sources of electromagnetic radiation.
- Keep the lens clean. Do not use chemicals or detergents to clean the product; always turn off the device before cleaning.
- Strictly follow the laws and regulatory acts of the region where the device is used. This device can not be used for illegal purposes.
- Do not disassemble or repair device by yourself. In case of device failure, contact the service center.

Note. The built-in in-cabin camera is specially optimized for continuous recording in difficult low-light conditions inside the car. The built-in infrared illuminator turns on and off automatically depending on lighting conditions. When switching from one operating mode to another, slight color distortion may occur, which does not significantly affect image quality. In a number of situations the LEDs of the infrared illuminator may glow. This is normal and is required to ensure better quality video recording in difficult lighting conditions.
