How do I install the Navitel R35 dashcam?

What should I do if the R35 stops recording or freezes?

First, ensure the microSD card is properly inserted and formatted. If the device freezes, press and hold the power button for about 7-15 seconds to force a reset and restore factory settings. The current recording will be saved automatically.

Can I use a microSD card larger than 128 GB in the R35?

No, the Navitel R35 supports microSD cards up to 128 GB maximum. Using a larger capacity card may cause malfunctions or data errors. Always use a high-speed card of Class U3 or above.

How should I clean the lens of the Navitel R35?

Turn off the device before cleaning. Use a dry microfiber cloth (included) to gently wipe the lens. Do not use chemicals or detergents as they may damage the lens coating.

The compact video recorder is equipped with a micro-battery, which allows you to correctly save settings, Wi-Fi password, time and the last file when the external power is turned off. If you want to use security mode in a parking lot and record video after turning off the ignition in the car, we recommend using the NAVITEL SMART BOX MAX power controller.
* Note. The list of voice alert languages may be changed by the manufacturer in future firmware updates.

Installation

1. Put the microSD card into the DVR. Use a high-speed SD card (ClassU3 or above); capacity should be within 8-128 GB.

• To avoid malfunctions of the DVR and / or SD-card, don't insert and remove SD-card during DVR operation.

• Before using a microSD card, please format it inside the DVR to avoid data errors. To format the SD-card in Navitel DVR Center mobile application navigate to Settings — Format SD card.

• Stick the electrostatic film on the windshield and fix the DVR over it with the mount.

• Connect the car charger to the cigarette lighter socket.
• Connect the car charger to the DVR power connector (USB-C).
• Adjust the camera position.
• Turn the power on; check whether the DVR is installed correctly. If the DVR is installed correctly, the display will light up.

Precautions

• Use only the original charger adapter. Using another adapter may negatively affect the device's battery. Use accessories only approved by manufacturer.
• Permissible ambient temperature in operating mode: 0 to +35 °C. Storage temperature: +5 to +45 °C. Relative humidity: 5% to 90% without condensation (25 °C).
• Put the device away from fire sources to avoid explosion or fire.
• Do not expose the device to physical impacts.
• Avoid contacting the device with sources of electromagnetic radiation.
• Keep the lens clean. Do not use chemicals or detergents to clean the product; always turn off the device before cleaning.
• Strictly follow the laws and regulatory acts of the region where the device is used. This device can not be used for illegal purposes.
• Do not disassemble or repair device by yourself. In case of device failure, contact the service center.

Button Functions

(TWCA)

In Video Recording mode, press the button for a few seconds and then release it to turn off the device (the current recording will be saved automatically).In Video Recording mode, press the button to protect the current video file. Protected files cannot be deleted or overwritten. After finishing recording the protected file, the device will start recording the unprotected file.Press and hold the button for about 7-15 seconds to stop recording and reset to factory settings (the current recording will be saved automatically).

Device functions

Format SD-card	To format the SD-card, connect the DVR to your smartphone via Wi-Fi. Open Navitel DVR Center mobileapplicationand navigate to Settings — Format SD card. Confirm the action.
Video recording	When the external power is connected, the DVR will turn on and start recording video automatically.When the external power is disconnected, the DVR will save the recording and turn off.
Loop recording	This feature allows you to save a video as a set of files. You can set the duration of the recording in the mobileapplication.If the memory card runs out of space, the unprotected files will be overwritten in the order in which they were created.
Audio recording Record video with or without sound.
G-sensor	If the vehicle is hit by something, the DVR will automatically lock the current video. Protected files cannot be deleted or overwritten.
Parking monitor*	In Parking mode, the user has access to the following modes: impact control and continuous time-lapse recording.Parking mode — impact control is based on the operation of the G-sensor: when it is triggered, an emergency file is written.Parking mode — continuous time-lapse recording. Records video continuously at a user-defined frame rate.

* Warning. The mode is available only when the DVR is connected to a permanent power supply through a device that prevents excessive battery discharge - NAVITEL SMART BOX MAX.

Navitel DVR Center app installation

1. Download and install Navitel DVR Center to your cell phone or tablet, follow your mobile device instructions. You can download application by scanning QR code in DVR's Menu (App QR Code) with your cell phone.
2. Turn on a Wi-Fi in your mobile device settings.
3. Run the app. Choose your DVR in the list. The DVR's information is in DVR's Menu (Wi-Fi Navitel).
4. Connect your mobile device to the DVR through Wi-Fi. To connect to the dashcam, use the password 12345678 or 1234567890. You can change it in DVR's Menu (Wi-Fi password).
5. Using the Navitel DVR Center you can:

- update DVR's firmware;

• control DVR functions in Settings menu.
