  • Keep batteries/rechargeable batteries out of reach of children. If accidentally swallowed seek immediate medical attention.

  • Swallowing may lead to burns, perforation of soft tissue, and death. Severe burns can occur within 2 hours of ingestion.

Never recharge non-rechargeable batteries. Do not short-circuit batteries/ rechargeable batteries and/or open them. Overheating, fire or bursting can be the result.

  • Never throw batteries/ rechargeable batteries into fire or water.
  • Do not exert mechanical loads to batteries/rechargeable batteries.

Risk of leakage of batteries/ rechargeable batteries

  • Avoid extreme environmental conditions and temperatures, which could affect batteries/rechargeable batteries, e.g. radiators/direct sunlight.
    If batteries/rechargeable batteries have leaked, avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes with the chemicals! Flush immediately the affected areas with fresh water and seek medical attention!

WEAR PROTECTIVE GLOVES!

Leaked or damaged batteries/ rechargeable batteries can cause burns on contact with the skin. Wear suitable protective gloves at all times if such an event occurs.

In the event of a leakage of batteries/rechargeable batteries, immediately remove them from the product to prevent damage.

Only use the same type of batteries/rechargeable batteries. Do not mix used and new batteries/rechargeable batteries.

Remove batteries/ rechargeable batteries if the product will not be used for a longer period.

Risk of damage of the product

Only use the specified type of battery/rechargeable battery!

Insert batteries/rechargeable batteries according to polarity marks (+) and (-) on the battery/rechargeable battery and the product.

Use a dry lint-free cloth or cotton swab to clean the contacts on the battery/ rechargeable battery and in the battery compartment before inserting!

Remove exhausted batteries/ rechargeable batteries from the product immediately.

Before first use

Unpacking the product

  1. Take the product out of the packaging and remove all packaging materials and plastic wrappings.
  2. Check to make sure that all listed parts are included (see "Scope of delivery").
  3. Check whether the product and all parts are in good condition, if any damage or defect is detected, do not use the product, but follow the procedure described in chapter "Warranty".
  4. Remove the protective film from the display 4.

- Inserting/replacing the batteries

(Fig. B)

  1. Check the battery charge level 12 on the display 4:

Very low battery charge level Replace the batteries. Measurements are no longer possible.
  1. Opening the battery cover [1ld]: Gently push down the latch of the battery cover.
  2. Remove the battery cover 11d from the battery compartment 11b.
  3. Remove the used batteries from the battery compartment [11b] if necessary.
  4. Insert the new batteries. Ensure the correct polarity as shown on the diagram inside the battery compartment 11b.
  5. Reattach the battery cover 11a.

Operation

- Switching on/off

NOTE

If no button is pressed for 30 seconds:
- The laser beam switches off automatically.
The backlight of the display 4 switches off.
-Press any button to switch on the backlight of the display 4 again.
If no button is pressed for 3 minutes: The product switches off automatically, emitting an audible signal.

Switching on

Switching on the product: Press the MEAS button 5. The display 4 switches on.
- Switching on the laser: Press the MEAS button 5 again.

Switching off

Press and hold the MEAS button 5 for approx. 5 seconds. The display 4 shows OFF.

- Changing the measurement unit

NOTE

You can display the measurements in metres (m), feet (ft) and inches (in).
□ Changing the measurement unit 14: Press and hold the UNIT button 6.
Activating/deactivating the acoustic signal

NOTE

Each press of a button and every error-free function that is carried out is confirmed by a short acoustic signal.
If the functions or are selected: A double acoustic signal is emitted in the event of any fault.
In the continuous measurement mode:
- Short acoustic signals are continuously emitted in a fast pace.
- In the event of an error: The double acoustic signal slows down.
□ Activating or deactivating the acoustic signal at any mode: Press the UNIT button 6 and the MODE button 7.

- Selecting the function

Press the MODE button one or multiple times to select the suitable function. The function icon 13 indicates the selected function:

  2. Align the laser horizontally with the target (front or rear
  3. Starting a single distance measurement: Press the MEAS button 5. The measurement is displayed in the second line 15.
  4. For repeated measurements: Follow the steps 1. to 4. The previous measured value is displayed on the first line [16]. The latest measured value is displayed on the second line [15].
  5. Calculating the area: Press and hold the MODE button 7. s 17 is shown. Press any button to exit area display.

Continuous measurement mode

NOTE

Calculating the area: This requires 2 sets of valid data.

  1. Starting the mode: Press and hold the MEAS button 5 for 3 seconds.
  2. Pausing/restarting the mode: Press the MEAS button 5.

  3. Press the MEAS button 5 to calculate the area:

NOTE The laser is reflected at a 90^ angle, with the reference plane on the left side of the product.

  1. Switching to the height measurement mode: Attach the mirror [10] to the product.

The mode automatically switches to height measurement. is shown on the function icon 13.

  1. Follow the measurement steps (see "Laser distance measurement").

Cross line measurement

  1. Selecting the cross laser line measurement mode: Press the MODE button 7. is shown on the function icon 13. The display 4 shows CROSS LINE.
  2. Switching on the laser: Press the MEAS button 5.
  3. Align the product so that the air bubble in the bubble levels is centrally positioned between the two line markings
  4. Mark the desired points.

Tape measurement

NOTE

The reference point is the front position of the tape 9 handle.
Calculating the area: This requires 2 sets of valid data.

  1. Selecting the tape measurement mode: Press the MODE button 7.

  1. Before measuring: Retract the tape to its original position. Press the UNIT button to reset the data.
  2. Pull the tape to the desired measurement position. The measured distance is shown in real-time on the second line [15].

Error codes

If errors occur during the

measuring process: The errors are indicated by the following error codes on the display 4:

Cleaning and care

Cleaning

NOTICE! Risk of short circuit!

Never submerse the product in water or other liquids. Do not allow any moisture to penetrate into the product during cleaning.
Before cleaning: Remove the batteries from the battery compartment 11b.

NOTICE! Risk of product damage!

During cleaning: Do not exert any strong pressure on the product.
Do not use abrasive, aggressive cleaning agents or hard brushes for cleaning.

Clean the opening of the laser beam output 3 and the receiver lens 2 with a gentle air stream.
If required, remove the dirt with a damp cotton swab.
Clean the housing with a soft dry cloth.
- Keep the product clean to ensure fault free operation.

Maintenance

WARNING!

Have the product repaired by qualified professionals and only with original replacement parts. This ensures that the safety of the product is maintained.

The product is maintenance-free.

Storage

If the product is not used for a long time: Remove the batteries from the battery compartment 11b.
Store the product in a clean, dry place that is not exposed to direct sunlight.
Store the product out of reach of children.

Disposal

The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities.
