The term "power tool" in the warnings refers to your mains-operated (corded) power tool or battery-operated (cordless) power tool.

EN

Work area safety

Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.

Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.

Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.

Electrical safety

Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.

Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.

Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.

Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.

When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.

If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a residual current device (RCD) protected supply. Use of an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.

Personal safety

Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in serious personal injury.

Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective equipment such as a dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.

Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to power source and/or battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool. Carrying power tools with your finger on the switch or energising power tools that have the switch on invites accidents.

Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A wrench or a key left attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.

Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the power tool in unexpected situations.

Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair and clothing away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts.

If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used. Use of dust collection can reduce dust-related hazards.

Do not let familiarity gained from frequent use of tools allow you to become complacent and ignore tool safety principles.

A careless action can cause severe injury within a fraction of a second.

Power tool use and care

Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.

Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.

Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or remove the battery pack, if detachable, from the power tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally.

Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users. Maintain power tools and accessories. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the power tool's operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.

Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR TABLE SAWS

Keep guards in place. Guards must be in working order and be properly mounted. A guard that is loose, damaged, or is not functioning correctly must be repaired or replaced.

Always use saw blade guard, riving knife for every through-cutting operation. For through-cutting operations where the saw blade cuts completely through the thickness of the workpiece, the guard and other safety devices help reduce the risk of injury. Immediately reattach the guarding system after completing an operation (such as rabbeting, dodoing or resawing cuts) which requires removal of the guard, riving knife and/or anti-kickback device. The guard, riving knife, and anti-kickback device help to reduce the risk of injury.

Make sure the saw blade is not contacting the guard, riving knife or the workpiece before the switch is turned on. Inadvertent contact of these items with the saw blade could cause a hazardous condition.

Adjust the riving knife as described in this instruction manual. Incorrect spacing, positioning and alignment can make the riving knife ineffective in reducing the likelihood of kickback.

For the riving knife to work, they must be engaged in the workpiece. The riving knife are ineffective when cutting workpieces that are too short to be engaged with the riving knife. Under these conditions a kickback cannot be prevented by the riving knife.

Use the appropriate saw blade for the riving knife. For the riving knife to function properly, the saw blade diameter must match the appropriate riving knife and the body of the saw blade must be thinner than the thickness of the riving knife and the cutting width of the saw blade must be wider than the thickness of the riving knife.

Cutting procedures warnings

DANGER: Never place your fingers or hands in the vicinity or in line with the saw blade. A moment of inattention or a slip could direct your hand towards the saw blade and result in serious personal injury.

Feed the workpiece into the saw blade only against the direction of rotation. Feeding the workpiece in the same direction that the saw blade is rotating above the table may result in the workpiece, and your hand, being pulled into the saw blade.

Never use the metre gauge to feed the workpiece when ripping and do not use the rip fence as a length stop when cross cutting with the metre gauge. Guiding the workpiece with the rip fence and the metre gauge at the same time increases the likelihood of saw blade binding and kickback.

When ripping, always apply the workpiece feeding force between the fence and the saw blade. Use a push stick when the distance between the fence and the saw blade is less than 150~mm , and use a push block when this distance is less than 50~mm . "Work helping" devices will keep your hand at a safe distance from the saw blade.

Use only the push stick provided by the manufacturer or constructed in accordance with the instructions. This push stick provides sufficient distance of the hand from the saw blade.

Never use a damaged or cut push stick. A damaged push stick may break causing your hand to slip into the saw blade.

Do not perform any operation "freehand". Always use either the rip fence or the metre gauge to position and guide the workpiece. "Freehand" means using your hands to support or guide the workpiece, in lieu of a rip fence or metre gauge. Freehand sawing leads to misalignment, binding and kickback.

Never reach around or over a rotating saw blade. Reaching for a workpiece may lead to accidental contact with the moving saw blade.

Provide auxiliary workpiece support to the rear and/or sides of the saw table for long and/or wide workpieces to keep them level. A long and/or wide workpiece has a tendency to pivot on the table's edge, causing loss of control, saw blade binding and kickback.

Feed workpiece at an even pace. Do not bend or twist the workpiece. If jamming occurs, turn the tool off immediately, unplug the tool then clear the jam. Jamming the saw blade by the workpiece can cause kickback or stall the motor.

Do not remove pieces of cut-off material while the saw is running. The material may become trapped between the fence or inside the saw blade guard and the saw blade pulling your fingers into the saw blade. Turn the saw off and wait until the saw blade stops before removing material.

Use an auxiliary fence in contact with the table top when ripping workpieces less than 2mm thick. A thin workpiece may wedge under the rip fence and create a kickback.

Kickback is a sudden reaction of the workpiece due to a pinched, jammed saw blade or misaligned line of cut in the workpiece with respect to the saw blade or when a part of the workpiece binds between the saw blade and the rip fence or other fixed object. Most frequently during kickback, the workpiece is lifted from the table by the rear portion of the saw blade and is propelled towards the operator.

Kickback is the result of saw misuse and/or incorrect operating procedures or conditions and can be avoided by taking proper precautions as given below.

EN

Never stand directly in line with the saw blade. Always position your body on the same side of the saw blade as the fence. Kickback may propel the workpiece at high velocity towards anyone standing in front and in line with the saw blade.

Never reach over or in back of the saw blade to pull or to support the workpiece. Accidental contact with the saw blade may occur or kickback may drag your fingers into the saw blade.

Never hold and press the workpiece that is being cut off against the rotating saw blade. Pressing the workpiece being cut off against the saw blade will create a binding condition and kickback.

Align the fence to be parallel with the saw blade. A misaligned fence will pinch the workpiece against the saw blade and create kickback.

Use a featherboard to guide the workpiece against the table and fence when making non-through cuts such as rabbeting, dodoing or resawing cuts. A featherboard helps to control the workpiece in the event of a kickback.

Use extra caution when making a cut into blind areas of assembled workpieces. The protruding saw blade may cut objects that can cause kickback.

Support large panels to minimise the risk of saw blade pinching and kickback. Large panels tend to sag under their own weight. Support(s) must be placed under all portions of the panel overhanging the table top.

Use extra caution when cutting a workpiece that is twisted, knotted, warped or does not have a straight edge to guide it with a metre gauge or along the fence. A warped, knotted, or twisted workpiece is unstable and causes misalignment of the kerf with the saw blade, binding and kickback.

Never cut more than one workpiece, stacked vertically or horizontally. The saw blade could pick up one or more pieces and cause kickback.

When restarting the saw with the saw blade in the workpiece, centre the saw blade in the kerf so that the saw teeth are not engaged in the material. If the saw blade binds, it may lift up the workpiece and cause kickback when the saw is restarted. Keep saw blades clean, sharp, and with sufficient set. Never use warped saw blades or saw blades with cracked or broken teeth. Sharp and properly set saw blades minimise binding, stalling and kickback.

Table saw operating procedure warnings

Turn off the table saw and disconnect the power cord when removing the table insert, changing the saw blade or making adjustments to the riving knife, antikickback device or saw blade guard, and when the machine is left unattended.

Precautionary measures will avoid accidents.

Never leave the table saw running unattended. Turn it off and don't leave the tool until it comes to a complete stop. An unattended running saw is an uncontrolled hazard.

Locate the table saw in a well-lit and level area where you can maintain good footing and balance. It should be installed in an area that provides enough room to easily handle the size of your workpiece. Cramped, dark areas, and uneven slippery floors invite accidents.

Frequently clean and remove sawdust from under the saw table and/or the dust collection device. Accumulated sawdust is combustible and may self-ignite.

The table saw must be secured. A table saw that is not properly secured may move or tip over.

Remove tools, wood scraps, etc. from the table before the table saw is turned on. Distraction or a potential jam can be dangerous.

Always use saw blades with correct size and shape (diamond versus round) of arbour holes. Saw blades that do not match the mounting hardware of the saw will run off-centre, causing loss of control.

Never use damaged or incorrect saw blade mounting means such as flanges, saw blade washers, bolts or nuts. These mounting means were specially designed for your saw, for safe operation and optimum performance.

Never stand on the table saw, do not use it as a stepping stool. Serious injury could occur if the tool is tipped or if the cutting tool is accidentally contacted.

Make sure that the saw blade is installed to rotate in the proper direction. Do not use grinding wheels, wire brushes, or abrasive wheels on a table saw. Improper saw blade installation or use of accessories not recommended may cause serious injury.

ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Wear personal protective equipment during work. Hearing protection which reduces the risk of hearing loss. Eye protection. Upper respiratory tract protection which reduces the risk of absorbing harmful dust.

Use a helmet and a protective apron.

Wear protective gloves only during preparatory activities related to the handling of the cutting disc, fixing the workpiece and transporting the tool. Do not use protective gloves when manually guiding the workpiece. The circular saw can catch gloves which can lead to serious injuries.

The class I protection electrical device must always be connected through an electrical system equipped with a residual current device (RCD) with a tripping current not exceeding 30mA .

Never use the machine without all the safety guards installed correctly.

Only discs recommended by the manufacturer should be used: discs for cutting wood and wood-based materials with teeth made of carbide meeting the requirements of the EN 847-1 standard with the parameters specified in the technical data table. Make sure

EN

that the speed indicated on the disc is greater than or equal to the speed indicated on the tool.

Do not use damaged cutting discs. Before commencing any work, the cutting disc must be inspected and, in the event of cracks, chips, bends, broken teeth or any other damage, the disc must be replaced with a new one. Hold the disc by the fixing hole and lightly hit the disc body with a plastic handle screwdriver. Hollow sound can mean a crack in the disc body, which may not be visible to the naked eye.

Do not use discs made of high speed steel (HSS).

Cutting discs should be stored in dry, darkened rooms in packaging which protects the discs from dust and exposure to mechanical damage. Protective gloves must be worn when transporting abrasive discs.

Use discs designed to cut the given material.

Pay attention to the correct direction of rotation of the disc. The direction of rotation marked on the disc must correspond to the direction of rotation visible on the machine.

When replacing the disc, make sure that the cutting thickness of the disc (cut) is not less than the thickness of the disc body and greater than the thickness of the riving knife.

After each disc change and before starting work, run the machine without load for 30 seconds. If abnormal vibrations are detected, switch off the machine immediately and proceed with the replacement of the cutting disc. Never stand when starting the cutter in such a way that any part of the body remains in the plane of rotation of the abrasive disc. This will reduce the risk of serious injury if the damaged disc falls apart.

The disc may still rotate for some time after the machine is switched off.

The table insert should be replaced if wear is observed.

It is necessary to check the condition of the ventilation openings, check if they are not clogged, each time before starting work. If necessary, disconnect the machine from the power supply and then clean the ventilation openings with a soft brush before starting work.

Do not use the tool in a potentially explosive environment or in one where sparks may cause fire or explosion.

Lift and transport the tool by grasping the base. Hands should be keep away from the abrasive disc. Make sure that all moving parts are locked before lifting or transporting. Do not use guards to lift or transport the tool.

Only use the tool with properly functioning, properly maintained and properly fixed guards.

Keep the workplace floor clean.

Note! Do not remove cut parts or other parts of the workpiece from the cutting area while the tool is operating with the cutting disc rotating.

All repairs or replacements should be carried out by an authorised service centre of the manufacturer.

Ensure correct and safe cutting. Before starting work, make sure that the tool is stable. If necessary, attach the tool to the table. If necessary, ensure support of a long workpiece.

Always store the workpiece pusher with the machine when not in use.

Residual risks

The machine has been designed and built according to good construction practices and safety principles. However, there may be residual risks when using the product.

Health hazard related to the electric power supply due to the use of improper power cords.

Noise hazard related to failure to use hearing protection.

Residual risks can be minimised by strictly following the safety instructions.

Extension cords

If it is necessary to connect the product using extension cords, the cross-section of the extension cords should not be smaller than the cross-section of the power cord supplied with the product. In the case of extension cords longer than 25m , the cross-section of the conductors should not be less than 1.5mm^2 .

PRODUCT OPERATION

Note! Make sure that the product is disconnected from the power supply before beginning activities related to assembly, setting or adjustment. The power cord should be disconnected from the power socket.

Preparing the tool for operation

Unpack the product by entirely removing all packaging components. Check that the product is complete.

All bolted (screw) connections equipped with a nut must be fitted with a spring washer and a flat washer under the nut.

Initially, bolted connections should only be bolted so that there is a clearance left, required for final assembly. If the connections are tightened with full force immediately, complete assembly is not possible. All bolted connections must be tightened after assembly and before the machine is used.

First of all, the work table extensions must be installed. To do this, turn the machine with the table facing down and then apply the table extensions so that the edges of the extensions are in line with the edges of the work table. Fix the extensions using the bolted connections. Use bolts and nuts to fix the table top bracket (II) to the extreme corners of the table.

EN

Fix the base legs and the lower parts of the table brackets (III) to the openings in the corners of the saw base with base.

Put the rubber feet (IV) on the ends of the legs. In the middle of their length the legs have openings to which base reinforcements (V) should be fixed with screws and nuts. This will give you a stable base.

Attach additional brackets (VI) to the rear legs using screws and nuts to prevent the saw from tipping over.

Note! The reinforcement must be attached to the rear legs on the opposite side of the switch.

Place the saw on its legs.

Set up the riving knife. To do this, unscrew the fixing screws of the table insert (VII). Using the cutting height and angle knob, pull the saw up as far as possible and set it to 0^ . Check the distance between the edge of the riving knife and the circular saw (VIII). If it differs from the illustration, loosen the knife-fixing screw (IX), position the knife, and then tighten the knife-fixing screw firmly and securely. Fix the table insert.

Attach the circular saw guard (X) to the opening in the riving knife. The screw connection must be bolted with such a force that the guard lowers automatically under its own weight.

Slide the hose onto the dust extraction outlet in the guard and slide the other end of the hose onto the side opening of the dust extraction at the rear of the base (XI).

Note! Replace the table insert whenever it is worn, destroyed or damaged.

Circular saw replacement

The circular saw is attached to the saw spindle by means of a screw and fixing flanges. Remove the circular saw guard and the table insert. Hold the external fixing disc with one of the wrenches and use the other wrench to unscrew the circular saw fixing screw (XII). Remove the disc and clean the fixing area of all dust generated during operation. Then fix the new disc with the flanges and a firmly and securely tightened screw. Install the table insert and the circular saw guard.

With your hand in the protective glove, make a few turns of the circular saw, making sure that the rotating saw does not catch on any part of the device. Repeat assembly steps, if necessary.

Note! When fixing the circular saw, make sure that the directions of rotation on the circular saw and on the device are the same.

Connecting to the dust extraction system

Before starting work, the saw must be connected to an external dust extraction system, e.g. an industrial vacuum cleaner. The system inlet must be connected to the dust outlet of the machine. This will reduce the amount of dust generated during work, which will increase its efficiency and safety.

Control parts

The on/off switch is used to switch the device on and off. The button marked "l" is used to switch the saw on, and the button marked "O" is used to switch the saw off. Before connecting the power cord plug to the power socket, make sure that the saw is not switched on, press the button marked "O" and then release the button.

Overload protection - in case of overload, e.g. too long work with maximum power, the saw will stop automatically. In this case, the protection button will be pushed out. When the overload protection is tripped, unplug the power cord from the power socket. Wait at least 30 minutes for the device to cool down, then press the safety button, connect the device to the power supply and restart it.

Cutting angle lock - unscrew to allow the cutting angle to be changed, tighten to lock the position of the saw at the selected angle. Cutting height and angle knob - allows you to set the cutting height and cutting angle. Pull the knob towards you and then turn clockwise to increase the cutting height. Turning in the opposite direction reduces the cutting height. Pushing the knob so that the sprocket in its base intersects with the sprocket located under the cutting angle scale allows you to set the cutting angle. Unscrew the cutting angle lock, push the knob. Turn the knob to set a selected cutting angle. The indicator arrow shows the set angle of the cross-cut on the scale. Tighten the lock to place the saw in the set position.

Adjusting the workpiece cutting guide bar

The cutting guide bar allows two settings depending on the thickness of the workpiece. If the thickness of the workpiece is less than 25mm , the guide bar must be set horizontally (XIII). If the thickness of the workpiece is equal to or greater than 25mm , the guide bar must be set vertically (XIV). You can change the position of the guide by unscrewing two wing nuts, pulling the guide bar out of the fixing plate, and then sliding it in a new position. Tightening the fixing nuts locks the guide bar against the fixing plate.

Setting the cutting width (XV)

The cutting width can be adjusted by means of the guide bar. Lifting the lever will allow the guide bar to be inserted into the rail at the edge of the table and then repositioned. Lowering the lever locks the guide bar. The rail at the edge of the table is equipped with two graduations showing the distance between the guide bar and the blade depending on the position of the guide bar for cutting thick or thin workpieces.

Setting the longitudinal cutting angle (XVI)

Slide the guide bar for setting the longitudinal angle into one of the slots on the work table. Loosen the angle setting knob, then adjust the longitudinal cutting angle and lock the guide bar in this position by tightening the knob.

EN

The guide bar should move freely within the slot of the work table, locked at the set angle.

Note! Make sure that the guide bar does not come into contact with the circular saw. The minimum distance between the circular saw and the guide bar should be 2cm . The guide can be moved when locked at a selected angle. Loosen both guide bar position fixing screws, change the position of the guide bar and then lock the position of the guide bar by tightening both fixing screws.

Starting the device

Assemble the device and connect it to an external dust extraction system. Adjust the cutting angle and height. Mount and adjust the guide bar to the selected cutting type. Make sure that the blade of the circular saw does not come into contact with any object. Press the switch button marked "O" and then plug the power cord plug into the socket. Stand so that you are not in the plane of rotation of the blade and start the saw by pressing the on/off switch button marked "I".

Allow the circular saw to reach its full speed and wait about 30 seconds without commencing work. If there are no signs of malfunctioning, e.g. increased noise or excessive vibration, you can start cutting.

Cutting with the device

Note! You can only start cutting when the circular saw has reached its full speed. Do not apply the workpiece to a stationary saw before starting the device.

When cutting a long workpiece, use supports on both the infeed and outfeed side of the work table. This will prevent uncontrolled movement of the workpiece.

When cutting small workpieces of such dimensions that the distance between the hand and the blade is less than 120~mm , a pusher (XVII) should be used to feed the workpiece in the direction of the blade. The pusher should also be used when the cutting is close to being finished. The pusher must be held in such a way that it does not come into contact with the circular saw. Replace a worn, destroyed or damaged pusher before starting work. Always keep the pusher close to the device. The device has special holders for storing the pusher (XVIII).

Always use guide bars for cutting, they increase safety, make work easier and reduce the risk of damage to the workpiece.

The higher the number of teeth, the higher the quality of the cut, it is recommended to use a disc with 48 teeth to cut laminated boards and hard material. If the workpiece contains staples, nails or other structural elements, circular saws intended for cutting structural timber should be used.

After finishing work, turn off the device using the switch, wait for the circular saw to stop completely, then unplug the power cord from the socket and proceed with maintenance.

MAINTENANCE, TRANSPORT AND STORAGE

After finishing work, clean the work table and the casing of chips and dust using a soft brush with plastic bristles. A compressed air stream at a pressure of not more than 0.3MPa may also be used for this purpose. A soft cloth slightly dampened with water can also be used for cleaning. Afterwards, all cleaned surfaces should be dried or left to dry. Check the permeability of the ventilation openings and, if necessary, clean them with a soft plastic brush, a soft brush or a compressed air stream at a pressure of not more than 0.3MPa . Do not use sharp, especially metal objects for cleaning the ventilation openings. Do not use solvents, alcohol, corrosive or abrasive agents for cleaning. Do not clean the machine with a jet of water, do not immerse the machine in water or any other liquid.

Transport only when the product is switched off with the power cord plug disconnected from the socket. The product should be transported by two people by grasping the work table or the base casing. Never grasp the extensions of the work table. Wear protective gloves for transport.

Store the product in a dark, dry, and well ventilated rooms. The room should protect the device from unauthorised access, especially by children. For long-term storage, it is advisable to remove the circular saw and hang it on one of the sides of the base, together with the wrenches for fixing the blade, as shown in the illustration (IX). For storage, the power cord should be retracted around the holders on one of the sides of the casing (XX).
