Only use stove guards and covers that are approved by the appliance manufacturer; otherwise, there is a risk of accidents. To choose a suitable stove guard, contact your specialist supplier or the BORA Service Team.

Tab. 3.1 Technical data
4 Before using for the first time
Clean the grill pan with warm water and washing-up liquid. Dry the grill pan before using for the first time.
5 Using the grill pan
5.1 BORA surface induction cooktops
Never use the grill pan without silicone feet. The silicone feet can be reordered from www.mybora.com (Product No.: KWGPSF).
Dirt between the grill pan and surface induction cooktop can scratch the glass ceramic.
Only use cooking oils and fats that can be heated to high temperatures on the grill pan (e.g. safflower oil, rapeseed oil or sunflower oil, etc.). Other cooking oils and fats burn at high
temperatures and produce smoke that is harmful to health. Burnt oils and fats leave behind residues that affect the non-stick coating.
When cold, the grill pan may be warped; this issue resolves itself when the pan is heated up again.
▶ Place the grill pan in the centre of the surface induction cooktop. For simple operation, use the bridging function on your surface induction cooktop. ▶ Regardless of which BORA model you own, the following are the maximum power levels to be used with the grill pan:

power level 7 power level 8
The empty grill pan can be preheated on the above power levels for a maximum of 5 minutes and must then be used on a lower setting. ▶ Ensure that the food is placed in the grill pan as soon as it is hot. ▶ Never use higher power levels than those specified above as this can permanently damage the grill pan!
5.2 BORA X BO
The grill pan can be used in the BORA X BO.
▶ Slide the grill pan with its handles into the middle shelf level. ▶ Place the grill pan in the centre of the shelf level. ▶ Ensure that the grill pan handles are level. When removing the grill pan from the oven chamber, it must be lifted over the shelf stop.
In the BORA X BO, the grill pan can have a maximum load of 3 kg.
The grill pan is not a spare food support and should not be used as a conventional food support.
The grill pan cannot stay inside the oven chamber when the cleaning programme is running.
6 Cleaning
Do not clean the grill pan until it has cooled. Plunging the hot grill pan in water can cause permanent damage.
To extend the service life of the non-stick coating, we recommend cleaning it by hand. The grill pan is dishwasher safe.
▶ Remove any large pieces of dirt with a cloth. ▶ Soak any stubborn dirt. ▶ Wash the grill pan with warm water, a soft sponge or brush and washing-up liquid. ▶ Dry the grill pan thoroughly after washing.
6.1 Cleaning agents
▶ Never use steam cleaners, abrasive sponges, scouring pads or chemically aggressive cleaning agents (e.g. oven cleaner spray).
▶ Make sure that the cleaning agent does not contain any sand, soda, acids, lyes or chloride.
7 Disposal of transport packaging
The packaging protects the product from damage during transport. The packaging materials have been selected taking into account the environment and their disposal and are therefore recyclable.
Recycling the packaging saves raw materials and reduces waste. Your specialist retailer will take the packaging back.
▶ Give the packaging to your specialist retailer or ▶ dispose of the packaging correctly observing regional regulations.
