  3. Push the battery pack onto the battery charger.

GB

In section 10 (Charger indicator) you will find a table with an explanation of the LED indicator on the charger.

If the battery pack fails to charge, check for the following:

  • voltage at the power socket
whether there is good contact at the charging contacts of the charging unit

If the battery pack still fails to charge, send

the charger and charging adapter
and the battery pack

to our customer service center.

To ensure that items are properly packaged and delivered when you send them to us, please contact our customer service or the point of sale at which the equipment was purchased.

When shipping or disposing of batteries and cordless tools, always ensure that they are packed individually in plastic bags to prevent short circuits and fi res.

To ensure that the battery pack provides long service, you should take care to recharge it promptly. You must recharge the battery pack when you notice that the performance of the device drops. Never allow the battery pack to become fully discharged. This will cause it to develop a defect.

5.2 Fitting/removing the cartridge holder (Fig. 4)

Use the fastener (6) to screw the cartridge holder (7) on the tool. Make sure that the two components are securely screwed together.

5.3 Inserting and removing the cartridge (Fig. 5)

Press the release button (2) and pull the piston rod slowly to the rear as far as the stop. Insert the cartridge in the cartridge holder (7). Press the release button (2) again and push the piston rod (4) as far as the cartridge. To remove the cartridge, press the release button (2) again and pull the piston rod (4) slowly back to the stop. The cartridge can then be removed from the cartridge holder (7).

NOTE:

Before you insert the cartridge, check it for punctures or other damage. Use only cartridges that are undamaged or the tool will become damaged. If you want to use a cartridge that has already been opened, first remove all old material residues.

5.4 Using a cartridge that has already been used (Fig. 6)

On the cartridge holder is a piercing tool (8). You can use this tool to pierce holes through dried-up cartridge nozzles and openings.

5.5 Removing/fitting the piston rod (Fig. 7-8) If the piston rod becomes dirty and soiled, it can be dismantled and cleaned. Proceed as follows:

  • Undo the screw (9) and remove the rod handle (3) from the piston rod (4) as shown in Fig. 7.
Press the release button (2) and pull the piston rod (4) forwards and out as shown in Fig. 8.

Toft the piston rod, proceed in reverse order. Please note that the piston rod teeth must point downwards.

5.6 Battery capacity indicator (Fig. 9/Item e)

Press the battery capacity indicator switch (d). The battery capacity indicator (e) shows the charge status of the battery using 3 LEDs.

All 3 LEDs are lit:

The battery is fully charged.

2 or 1 LED(s) are lit:

The battery has an adequate remaining charge.

1 LED fl ashes:

The battery is empty, recharge the battery.

The battery temperature is too low. Remove the battery from the equipment, keep it at room temperature for one day. If the fault reoccurs, this means that the rechargeable battery has undergone exhaustive discharge and is defective. Remove the battery from the equipment. Never use or charge a defective battery.

6. Operation

6.1 Trigger lever (Fig. 1/Item 1)

The trigger lever (1) can be used in addition for infinitely adjustable control of the cartridge speed and therefore its feed. The further you push the trigger lever (1), the faster the piston rod speed.

Switching on:

Press the trigger lever (1).

Switching off :

Release the trigger lever (1).

6.2 Setting the speed (Fig. 9)

The feed speed can be set by turning the speed controller (5). Turn the wheel in + direction for a higher speed. Turn the wheel in - direction for a lower speed.

6.3 Note on drip guard function

This tool comes with a drip guard function, i.e. subsequent dripping of the sealant is prevented by the piston rod being retracted slightly, thus releasing the pressure in the cartridge.

6.4 Working with the cordless sealing gun

Preparing the surfaces to be sealed

The surface to be sealed must be prepared by removing any dirt, grease or residues of old sealant that might be on it. The area to be sealed must be clean and dry.

Note:

It is recommended to apply a thread of silicone on a piece of paper or cardboard in order to test the sealant quantity and the set speed.

  • Check whether the cartridge holder (6) is properly screwed in place (section 5.2).
  • Check whether the cartridge is properly inserted (section 5.3).
  • Check whether the tip of the cartridge nozzle has been cut off and/or that it is not clogged.
  • Set the speed setting wheel (section 6.2) to setting 1.
The tool is now ready for operation.
Press the trigger lever (1) to eject sealant.

NOTE:

If the sealant thread is too narrow you must cut the tip of the cartridge nozzle so that a little more sealant is applied.

Guide the sealing gun carefully and evenly along the surface to be sealed. Make sure that the sealant has contact with both surfaces to be joined. Use a joint smoothing trowel or your finger to carefully press the sealant into the corners or to fill any cracks.

When the cartridge is empty, the motor will switch off automatically.

7. Cleaning, maintenance and ordering of spare parts

Hazard!

Always pull out the battery pack before starting any cleaning work.

7.1 Cleaning

Clean the piston and the cartridge holder each time after use. The sealant must be removed before it becomes hard. If any sealant or adhesive remains on the piston rod, this might cause the piston rod to block.
- Keep all safety devices, air vents and the motor housing free of dirt and dust as far as possible. Wipe the equipment with a clean cloth or blow it with compressed air at low pressure.
Clean the equipment regularly with a moist cloth and some soft soap. Do not use cleaning agents or solvents; these could attack the plastic parts of the equipment. Ensure that no water can seep into the device. The ingress of water into an electric tool increases the risk of an electric shock.

7.2 Maintenance

There are no parts inside the equipment which require additional maintenance.

7.3 Ordering replacement parts:

Please quote the following data when ordering replacement parts:

Type of machine
Article number of the machine
Identification number of the machine
- Replacement part number of the part required For our latest prices and information please go to www.Einhell-Service.com

The equipment and its accessories are made of various types of material, such as metal and plastic. Never place defective equipment in your household refuse. The equipment should be taken to a suitable collection center for proper disposal. If you do not know the whereabouts of such a collection point, you should ask in your local council offices.

9. Storage

Store the equipment and accessories in a dark and dry place at above freezing temperature. The ideal storage temperature is between 5 and 30^ . Store the electric tool in its original packaging.
