5. USAGE

Preparing for use

  1. Fully dry your hair before using the curling tongs.
  2. Make sure that your hair is clean and free from styling products. This does not apply to products which protect the hair against heat.
  3. Comb your hair with a large-toothed comb to get rid of any tangles.
  4. Stand on a dry, non-conductive surface. Dry your hands thoroughly.

Starting use

  1. To switch on the curling tongs, press and hold the ON/OFF button 10 for two seconds. The curling tongs show the currently set temperature setting in the temperature display 8. The ion outlet gently emits the ions.
  2. Use the temperature button 9 to select your desired temperature setting (170 °C, 190 °C or 210 °C). The selected temperature setting flashes in the temperature display 8. As soon as the curling tongs have reached the selected temperature, the temperature display 8 lights up permanently. The curling tongs are now ready for use. We suggest the following temperature settings for your hair type:
Temperature setting Hair type
170 °C Fine, brittle, coloured or bleached hair
190 °C Normal hair
210 °C Thick and resistant hair
  1. Separate your hair into individual sections with a width of approx. two centimetres. Hold the sections taut at the tips.
  2. Carefully guide the sections as shown (see drawing A on the fold-out page) into the slot between the two heating rods 4. Make sure that the temperature display 8 is facing you. Make sure that you leave enough space between your hand and the heating rods 4.

  3. To wind the hair sections inwards or outwards, press and hold the anti-clockwise rotation button 5 or clockwise rotation button 6 until the hair section is completely wound up (see drawing B C on fold-out page). After 12 seconds, an acoustic signal sounds and the curl is now ready. After the acoustic signal, pull the curling tongs downwards and off.

  4. Repeat the process with another section of hair.

After use

  1. Switch off the curling tongs after each use or interruption. To switch off the curling tongs, press and hold the ON/OFF button 10 for two seconds. The temperature display 8 goes out.
  2. Pull the mains plug out of the socket.
  3. Place the curling tongs on a stable, horizontal and non-flammable surface to cool down. Make sure that the heating rod 4 does not touch the surface.
  4. Wait until the heating rod 4 has cooled down completely. Then store the curling tongs in a dry place out of the reach of children.

6. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

WARNING

  • Risk of electric shock! Always unplug the mains plug from the socket before cleaning. Make sure that no water gets inside the device!
  • Risk of fire! Never clean the curling tongs with highly flammable liquids!

If the curling tongs are dirty, clean them with a slightly damp cloth. If they are very dirty, you can also moisten the cloth with a mild soapy solution. Do not use the curling tongs until they are completely dry.
