You can use the curling tongs to shape soft and gentle curls in your hair. The 360° swivel joint on the mains cable enables flexible handling of the curling tongs. A short heat-up phase means that the curling tongs are ready for use after only a few minutes. The ceramic keratin coating of the heating rod ensures even heat distribution and a smooth surface structure. The keratin also helps to protect and care for your hair. The curling tongs therefore allow you to style your hair gently. The stand enables the curling tongs to be set down safely even when heated. The device is only intended for the purpose described in these instructions for use. The manufacturer is not liable for damage resulting from improper or careless use. Read these instructions for use carefully and keep them for later use, be sure to make them accessible to other users and observe the information they contain.18

2. Signs and symbols

The following symbols appear in the instructions for use and on the device. Warning This device must not be used near to water or in water (e.g. in a wash basin, or in the shower or bath) – risk of electric shock! The curling tongs must only be used by individuals for shaping curls/waves in human head hair and are for private use only! Warning The device is suitable only:

  • for the intended purpose and as specified in these instructions for use. Any form of improper use can be dangerous!

Warning To avoid damage to health, we strongly advise against using the device in the following situations:

  • Never submerge the device in water or other liquid! Risk of electric shock!
  • If the device should fall into water despite following all safety precautions, immediately pull the mains plug from the socket! Do not reach into the water! Risk of electric shock!
  • Have the device checked by an authorised specialist workshop before using it again. Danger to life due to electric shock!
  • If the device has been dropped or has suered any other damage, it must no longer be used. Risk of electric shock and injury!

  • Position yourself on a dry, non-conductive surface. Risk of electric shock!
  • Make sure that your hands are dry! Risk of electric shock!

  • The device can become very hot. When the device is hot, it must only be held using the handle [9]. Risk of burns and fire!
  • Never touch the conical heating rod [2]. Risk of burns!
  • Switch the device o immediately if it is faulty or not working properly.
  • Place the curling tongs with the stand [8] on a stable, level and non-flammable surface or hold the curling tongs in your hand. Risk of fire!
  • Never touch the tip of the curling tongs unless wearing the heat-resistant glove. Important
  • Untangle the mains cable [7] if it is twisted.
  • Do not pull, twist or bend the mains cable [7] and do not pull or route it on sharp, pointed objects or hot surfaces.
  • Do not jam the mains cable [7] in drawers or doors, for example. Damaged or tangled mains cables increase the risk of electric shock! Starting the application/creating curls

1. Fully dry your hair before using the curling tongs.

2. Hair should be clean and free from styling products.

3. Comb your hair with a large-toothed comb to get rid of any tangles.23

4. Insert the mains plug into a suitable socket. “OFF” appears on the LED operating display [3]. Press the ON/OFF button [6] for 2 seconds to switch on the curling tongs. The current set temperature appears on the LED operating display [3]. Set your desired temperature setting using the (+) button [4] or (-) button [5]. The current set temperature setting is shown on the LED operating display [3]. The heat-up phase is indicated by the temperature display flashing. When the temperature display is continuously lit, the curling tongs have reached the set temperature setting and can be used. The temperature can be permanently set by pressing the ON/OFF button [6] twice. The LOC symbol appears in the display.

5. Put on the heat-resistant glove.

Separate your hair into individual sections with a width of approx. 2 centimetres. Wind the hair sections around the curling tongs as shown. Hold the section of hair in place at the tip [1] using your hand with the heat-resistant glove. Never touch the conical heating rod of the curling tongs [2] unless wearing the heat-re- sistant glove.

7. Leave the curling tongs in your hair for 8 to 10 seconds in order

to achieve the desired curling effect. Note After 25 minutes of operation, the LED operating display [3] starts to flash. This is to show you that the curling tongs will automatically switch off in 5 minutes. The curling tongs switch off automatically after 30 minutes of operation. Once switched off, the curling tongs are no longer heated and the LED operating display [3] goes out. Press the On/Off button [6] twice to switch on the curling tongs again.24 After use

To switch o the curling tongs after use, press and hold the ON/OFF button [6] for three seconds. Make sure to deactivate the keylock beforehand. To deactivate the button lock, press the On/Off button [6] for 2 seconds. The LOC symbol disappears from the LED operating display [3]. “OFF” appears on the LED operating display [3]. The curling tongs are now switched o. 2. To cool down, place the curling tongs with the stand [8] on a stable, level and non-flammable surface or hold the curling tongs in your hand. The stand [8] prevents the hot heating rod [2] from touching the surface.

3. After each use, pull the mains plug out of the socket.

4. Do not wind the mains cable [7] around the device!

5. Store the device in a dry place out of the reach of children.

6. The device can be hung on a hook using the hanging eyelet [11].

7. Cleaning and maintaining the device

10. Warranty and service

Beurer GmbH,Söflinger Straße 218, 89077 Ulm, Germany (hereinafter referred to as “Beurer”) provides a warranty for this product, subject to the requirements below and to the extent described as follows. The warranty conditions below shall not aect the seller’s statutory warranty obligations which ensue from the sales agreement with the buyer. The warranty shall apply without prejudice to any mandatory statutory provisions on liability.26 Beurer guarantees the perfect functionality and completeness of this product. The worldwide warranty period is 3 years, commencing from the purchase of the new, unused product from the seller. The warranty only applies to products purchased by the buyer as a consumer and used exclusively for personal purposes in the context of domestic use. German law shall apply. During the warranty period, should this product prove to be incomplete or defective in functionality in accordance with the following provisions, Beurer shall carry out a repair or a replacement delivery free of charge, in accordance with these war- ranty conditions. If the buyer wishes to make a warranty claim, they should approach their local retailer in the first instance: see the attached “International Service” list of service addresses. The buyer will then receive further information about the processing of the warranty claim, e.g. where they can send the product and what documentation is required. A warranty claim shall only be considered if the buyer can provide Beurer, or an authorised Beurer partner, with – a copy of the invoice/purchase receipt, and – the original product. The following are explicitly excluded from this warranty: – deterioration due to normal use or consumption of the product;

accessories supplied with this product which are worn out or used up through proper use (e.g. batteries, rechargeable batteries, cuffs, seals, electrodes, light sources, attachments and nebuliser accessories); – products that are used, cleaned, stored or maintained improperly and/or contrary to the provisions of the instructions for use, as well as products that have been opened, repaired or modified by the buyer or by a service centre not authorised by Beurer; – damage that arises during transport between manufacturer and customer, or between service centre and customer;27 – products purchased as seconds or as used goods;

consequential damage arising from a fault in this product (however, in this case, claims may exist arising from product liability or other compulsory statutory liability provisions).
