How to turn on the Beurer LA 35 aroma diffuser?

Press the ON/OFF button once to activate continuous mist, twice for intermittent mode (30s/30s), three times to turn off.

How to adjust the LED lighting?

Press the LED button: once for 100% brightness, twice for 50%, three times to turn off the LED.

What essential oils can I use?

Use only water-based aromatic oils. Do not use oils that are not miscible with water.

How to clean the water tank and membrane?

Always empty the tank after use. Clean the ultrasonic membrane weekly with a cotton swab. For limescale, use a citric acid or vinegar solution.

Why is my device not producing mist anymore?

Check that the adapter is plugged in, that the tank contains enough water (without exceeding the MAX mark), and that the membrane is not clogged. If the water is too cold, use lukewarm water (not boiling).

Can I leave water in the tank when not in use?

No, it is recommended to empty the tank after each use to prevent the growth of microorganisms.

What is the water tank capacity?

The tank has a capacity of 120 ml. Do not fill above the 'MAX' mark.

How long can I use the device continuously?

In continuous mode, the runtime is approximately 8 hours. In intermittent mode, it reaches approximately 16 hours.

Does the diffuser turn off automatically?

Yes, the device turns off automatically when there is no more water in the tank.

Where can I buy spare parts or accessories?

WARNING

• Do not allow the area around the device to become wet or damp. If moisture is present, reduce the humidification output of the device. If the humidification output cannot be reduced, temporarily suspend use of the device. Make sure that absorbent materials such as carpets, curtains, drapes or tablecloths do not become damp.

• If the mains connection cable of this device is damaged, it must be disposed of. If it cannot be removed, the device must be disposed of.

• Note that high moisture levels may promote the growth of biological organisms in the environment.

• Never leave water in the tank when the device is not in use.

• Micro-organisms that may be in the water or in the environment where the device is used or stored may thrive in the water tank and become airborne. This can pose serious health risks if the water is not replaced every three days and the tank is not properly cleaned.

• Empty and clean the device before storing it away. Clean the device before the next use.

Before use, ensure that there is no visible damage to the device or accessories and that all packaging material has been removed. 3. INTENDED USE

The aroma diffuser is only to be used for improving the ambient scent in a room. The device is intended for private use.

Use the device for the purpose it was developed for only and in the manner specified in these instructions for use. Any form of improper use can be dangerous. The manufacturer is not liable for damage resulting from improper or incorrect use.

4. WARNINGS AND SAFETY NOTES

WARNING

Failure to observe the following information may result in personal injury or material damage.

• Keep packaging material away from children. There is a risk of suffocation!
• If you suffer from a severe respiratory or lung disease, consult your doctor before using the device.
• If you start to feel unwell while the device is in use, stop using it immediately, switch the device off and ventilate the room.
• The device is only to be used with the recommended vaporisation agent. The use of other substances may trigger toxic reactions, or pose a fire risk.

Electric shock

WARNING

• As with every electrical device, use this device carefully and cautiously, in order to avoid hazards due to electric shock.
  • Therefore, observe the following instructions for use:
• Only use this device with the voltage specified on the device
• Never use the device if it shows visible signs of damage
• Do not use the device during a storm
• In the event of defects or operational faults, switch the device off immediately and disconnect it from the mains socket. Do not pull on the mains cable or on the device to disconnect the mains adapter from the socket. Never hold or carry the device by the mains cable.
• Only use the device in dry rooms (e.g. never in the bath, sauna).
• Never pick up a device that has fallen into water. Disconnect the mains adapter immediately.
• Do not drop the device or subject it to any impacts.
• Do not clamp or pinch the mains cable.
• Ensure that the mains cable and mains adapter do not come into contact with water, steam or other liquids.

Risk of fire

WARNING

There may be a risk of fire if the device is used improperly or these instructions for use are ignored.

Therefore, observe the following instructions for use:

• Never use the device underneath a cover, such as a blanket, pillow, etc.
• Never use the device near petrol or other highly flammable substances.

Handling

CAUTION

- The device must be switched off and disconnected after every use and before cleaning.

• Ensure that the mains cable does not pose a trip hazard.
• Do not insert any objects into openings on the device.
• Do not place any objects on the device.

- Ensure that the device is placed on a firm, secure surface that is not susceptible to moisture.

NOTICE

• Do not expose the device to high temperatures.
• Avoid water damage by handling the device carefully (e.g. water damage from splashing in the vicinity of wooden floors).
• If the device should accidentally tip over, water may escape, even if the device is switched off and unplugged.
• The immediate vicinity of the device can become damp.
• Depending on the water quality and temperature, the amount of mist may be lower at the beginning.
• Calcareous water can leave white deposits.
• Do not place the device on the floor, but in a raised position (e.g. on a table or chest of drawers).

• Position the device so that the mist outlet is not directed towards objects.

• Empty any remaining water when the device is not in use.

• The water tank and the cover are made of oil-resistant materials. Keep aroma oils away from other components of the device as these could become damaged by certain ingredients within the oils.

6. USAGE

6.1 Initial use

WARNING

• Only fill the device when the mains adapter is unplugged!
• NEVER fill the device when the cover is still attached.
• Only use water-based aroma oils.

• Open the cardboard packaging, remove all the packaging film and check the device for damage.

• Pull the cover 2 up and off.

• Fill the water tank 7 with water. Ensure that you do not fill the water tank 7 above the "MAX" marking 10. If the water is very hard, use distilled water.
• Place 2 to 3 drops of the desired aroma oil (water-based) into the water tank 7.
• Replace the cover 2 on the water tank 7 from above. Connect the mains adapter 11 to the connection socket 12 on the underside of the device and to a suitable socket.

6.2 Starting use

Press ON/OFF button 3 once =	Device switches on and operates on highest intensity (continuous mist)
Press ON/OFF button 3 twice =	Intermittent mist(30 Seconds on / 30 seconds off)
Press ON/OFF button 3 three times =	Device switches off

The device switches off automatically if there is a lack of water.

6.3 Adjusting the LED light

The device has an optional LED light.

Press LED button 4 once = LED light intensity 100%

Press LED button 4 twice = LED light intensity 50%

Press LED button 4 three times = LED switches off

6.4 After use

1. Press the ON/OFF button 3 repeatedly until the device is switched off.

2. Disconnect the device from the socket and the mains adapter 11.

3. Pull the cover 2 up and off.

4. Pour any remaining water down the drain as shown. Ensure that the air outlet 9 does not come into contact with water.

7. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

CAUTION

Before cleaning the device, ensure that the device is disconnected from the power supply and that there is no water left in the water tank 7. Regular cleaning is a prerequisite for hygienic and fault-free operation. The aroma diffuser can be dismantled for cleaning easily and without tools (see chapter "6.1 Initial use").

membrane 6 using a cotton bud each week. Depending on the frequency of use, you can also clean the ultrasound membrane 6 several times a week.

• Clean the device after every use using a soft, slightly damp cloth, paying particular attention to the inside of the water tank 7. Never use abrasive, corrosive or solvent-based cleaning products.
• If a layer of limescale forms in the water tank 7, briefly apply a citric acid or vinegar solution beforehand.

9. WHAT IF THERE ARE PROBLEMS?

Problem Possible cause Solution
No mist, or very little mist, is coming out of the device.	Mains adapter 11 is not plugged in.	Insert the mains adapter 11 into a suitable socket.
	There is not enough water in the water tank 7.	Fill the water tank 7 up to the “MAX” marking 10.
	There is too much water in the water tank 7.	Pour away excess water from the water tank 7 until it only reaches the “MAX” marking 10.
	Ultrasound membrane 6 is clogged.	Clean the ultrasound membrane 6 as described in chapter “7. Cleaning and maintenance”.
	The outlet 1 on the cover is blocked.	Check that the outlet 1 on the cover is not blocked.
No mist, or very little mist, is coming out of the device.	The water that has been added is too cold.	Pour in warm, but not boiling, water.

10. DISPOSAL

For environmental reasons, do not dispose of the device in household waste at the end of its service life. Dispose of the device at a suitable local collection or recycling point in your

country. Observe the local regulations for material disposal. Dispose of the device in accordance with EC Directive Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). If you have any questions, please contact the local authorities responsible for waste disposal. You can obtain the location of collection points for old devices, for example, from the local or municipal authorities, local waste disposal companies or your retailer.
