WARNING

• This device may be used by children over the age of 8 and by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental skills or a lack of experience or knowledge, provided that they are supervised or have been instructed on how to use the device safely, and are fully aware of the consequent risks of use.
• Children must not play with the device.
• Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children unless supervised.
• Disconnect the device from the mains supply during filling or cleaning.
• Do not use any solvent-based cleaning products.
• If the mains connection cable of this device is damaged, it must be disposed of. If it cannot be removed, the device must be disposed of.

• Be aware that high humidity levels may encourage the growth of biological organisms in the environment.

• Do not permit the area around the device to become damp or wet. If dampness occurs, turn the output of the device down. If the output volume cannot be turned down, use the device intermittently. Do not allow absorbent materials, such as carpeting, curtains, drapes, or tablecloths, to become damp.

• Never leave water in the reservoir when the appliance is not in use.
• Empty and clean the device before storage. Clean the device before next use.
• Micro-organisms that may be present in the water or in the environment where the appliance is used or stored, can grow in the water reservoir and be blown in the air causing very serious health risks when the water is not renewed and the tank is not cleaned properly every three days.

Included in delivery

Check that the exterior of the delivery cardboard packaging is intact and make sure that all contents are present. Before use, ensure that there is no visible damage to the device or accessories and that all packaging material has been removed. If you have any doubts, do not use the device and contact your retailer or the specified Customer Service address.

2. INTENDEDUSE

The aroma diffuser is only to be used for improving the ambient scent in a room. The device is intended for private use.

Use the device for the purpose it was developed for only and in the manner specified in these instructions for use. Any form of improper use can be dangerous. The manufacturer is not liable for damage resulting from improper or incorrect use.

3. NOTES

Non-observation of the following information may result in personal injury or material damage.

Safety notes

WARNING

• Keep packaging material away from children. Choking hazard!
• If you suffer from a severe respiratory or lung disease, consult your doctor before using the device.
• If you start to feel unwell while the device is in use, stop using it immediately, switch the device off and ventilate the room.
• The device is only to be used with the recommended vaporisation agent. The use of other substances may trigger toxic reactions, or pose a fire risk.

Electric shock

WARNING

As with every electrical device, use this device carefully and cautiously, in order to avoid hazards due to electric shock.

• Therefore:

• Only use this device with the voltage specified on the device

• Never use the device if it shows visible signs of damage

• Do not use the device during a storm

• In the event of defects or operational faults, switch the device off immediately and disconnect it from the mains socket. Do not pull on the mains cable or on the device to disconnect the mains adapter from the socket. Never hold or carry the device by the mains cable.

• Only use the device in dry rooms (e.g. never in the bath, sauna).
• Never reach for a device that is submerged in water. Disconnect the mains adapter immediately.
• Do not drop the device or subject it to any impacts.
• Do not clamp or pinch the mains cable.
• Ensure that the mains cable and mains adapter do not come into contact with water, steam or other liquids.

Repairs

WARNING

Only specialist personnel may perform repairs on electrical devices. Improper repairs may subject users to considerable danger. For repairs, please contact Customer Services or an authorised retailer.

Risk of fire

WARNING

There is a risk of fire if the device is used improperly or these instructions for use are ignored. Therefore:

• Never use the device underneath a cover, such as a blanket, pillow, etc.
• Never use it near petrol or other highly flammable substances.

Handling

IMPORTANT

• The device must be switched off and disconnected after every use and before cleaning.

• Ensure that the mains cable does not pose a trip hazard.

• Do not insert any objects into openings on the device.

• Do not place any objects on the device.
• Ensure that the device is placed on a firm, secure surface that is not susceptible to moisture.
• Do not expose the device to high temperatures.
• Avoid water damage by handling the device carefully (e.g. water damage from splashing in the vicinity of wooden floors).
• If the device should accidentally tip over, water may escape, even if the device is switched off and unplugged.
• The immediate vicinity of the device can become damp.
• Depending on the water quality and temperature, the amount of mist may be lower at the beginning.
• Calcareous water can leave white deposits.
• Do not place the device on the floor, but in a raised position (e.g. on a table or chest of drawers).
• Position the device so that the mist outlet is not directed towards objects.
• Empty any remaining water when the device is not in use.
• The water tank and the cover are made of oil-resistant materials. Keep aroma oils away from other components of the device as these could become damaged by certain ingredients within the oils.

5. INITIAL USE

WARNING

• Only fill the device when the mains adapter is unplugged.
• NEVER fill the device when the porcelain cover is still attached.
• When using aroma oils, always observe the manufacturer's instructions regarding proper use.
• Open the cardboard packaging, remove all the packaging film and check the device for damage.

1. Fill a measuring jug with water. 4.

Carefully pour the water from the measuring jug into the water tank. Ensure that you do not fill the water tank above the "MAX" marking.

1. Place 5 - 10 drops of the desired aroma oil into the water tank.

1. Carefully place the porcelain cover onto the inner cover from above.

1. Firmly place the inner cover on to the water tank.

1. Plug the mains cable of the mains adapter into the connection socket on the rear of the device. Insert the mains adapter into a suitable socket.

6. OPERATION

6.1 Switching on the device

• Press the Mist/timer button to switch on the device.

6.2 Setting the timer and mood light

6.3 Setting the mist intensity

To change between intermittent and continuous mist, press and hold the Mist/timer button for 2 seconds until the timer display starts to flash.

After use

1. Disconnect the device from the socket and the mains adapter.
2. Remove the porcelain cover and the inner cover in an upward direction.
3. Pour any remaining water down the drain.

IMPORTANT

When pouring out the water, ensure that the ventilation opening is located at the top. Ensure that the ventilation opening does not come into contact with water.

1. Clean the device as described under "Cleaning and maintenance".

What to do if the device tips over during use

If the device should tip over during use, then water may enter the ventilation opening. In the event of this, there is a water drainage hole on the underneath of the device so that the water can drain out of the ventilation opening. To drain the water from the water drainage hole, proceed as follows:

1. Remove the mains adapter from the mains socket.
2. Empty the water tank with the ventilation opening at the top so that no water can enter the ventilation opening.
3. Tip the device in the direction of the water drainage hole so that the water can drain.

7. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Note

Before cleaning the device, ensure that the device is disconnected from the power supply and that there is no water left in the water tank. Regular cleaning is a prerequisite for hygienic and fault-free operation. The aroma diffuser can be dismantled for cleaning easily and without tools (see chapter „Initial use“).

• The device has an ultrasonic vaporiser in the middle of the water tank. Carefully clean the ultrasonic vaporiser using a cotton bud each week. Depending on the frequency of use, you can also clean the ultrasonic vaporiser several times a week.
• Clean the device after every use using a soft, slightly damp cloth, paying particular attention to the inner cover and the inside of the water tank. Never use abrasive, corrosive or solvent-based cleaning products.

9. DISPOSAL

For environmental reasons, do not dispose of the device in the household waste at the end of its useful life.

Dispose of the device at a suitable local collection or recycling point in your country. Dispose of the device in accordance with EC Directive - WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).

If you have any questions, please contact the local authorities responsible for waste disposal.

10. WHAT IF THERE ARE PROBLEMS?

Problem Cause Solution
No mist is being emitted from the device.	Mains adapter is not plugged in.	Insert the mains adapter into a suitable socket.
	There is not enough water in the water tank.	Fill the water tank up to the “MAX” marking.
Only a small amount of mist is being emitted from the device.	There is too much water in the water tank.	Pour away excess water from the water tank until it only reaches the “MAX” marking.
	Ultrasonic vaporiser is blocked.	Clean the ultrasonic vaporiser as described in the “Cleaning and maintenance” chapter.
The LED of the Mist/timer button is illuminated and the device is running, but no mist is emitted.	The outlet in the porcelain cover is blocked.	Check that the outlet in the porcelain cover is not blocked.
	Condensation is blocking the ventilation opening in the water tank.	Open the ventilation cover and remove the condensation at the ventilation opening.
