Frequently Asked Questions - F230CC BONECO

How to install the Boneco F230CC fan?

Insert the support column(s) into the base. Place the fan unit onto the column. Remove the HEPA-ESP filter from its packaging and take off the rear grille. Insert the filter until it clicks, then close the grille. Plug in the power cord and use the regulator to select the speed.

How to clean the HEPA-ESP filter?

Unplug the device. Tilt the fan downwards and remove the rear grille. Press the locking mechanism to remove the filter. Wash it by hand with a neutral pH detergent (10 g/1 L water at 40°C) or in a dishwasher at max 70°C (max 2h cycle). Rinse, dry with a soft cloth, then air dry for at least 5 hours before reinserting.

Can I wash the filter in the dishwasher?

Yes, provided you use a neutral pH dish soap, set the temperature to 70°C maximum, and limit the cycle to 2 hours (including drying). Do not wash the filter together with greasy dishes. After washing, check that it is not damaged and completely dry before reinstalling.

How to adjust the fan height?

The height is adjusted by adding or removing support columns. To remove a column, press the unlock button and pull it upward. The F230CC model accepts up to two columns maximum. The fan unit can also be used without a column, placed directly on a surface.

How to direct the airflow?

The fan unit can be manually tilted through 270°. To direct the air, pivot the fan head in the desired direction. Note that it does not achieve a full 360° rotation.

Why does the device not turn on?

Check that the rear grille is properly engaged: it has a safety sensor that prevents startup if it is not correctly fastened. Also ensure that the power cord is plugged in and the speed regulator is not set to 0.

What is the power consumption of this fan?

The maximum power consumption is 33 W, making it a very economical device. The maximum noise level is 60 dBA.

How often should I clean the filter?

Under normal use, it is recommended to clean the filter every two weeks. Regular cleaning ensures optimal airflow and extends filter life. If you notice a continuous crackling noise, it is a sign that cleaning is needed.

What to do if the filter makes a crackling noise?

A crackling noise indicates that the HEPA-ESP filter is dirty. Unplug the device, remove the filter and clean it according to the instructions. After complete drying, reinsert it. If the noise persists, check that the filter is dry and correctly installed.

Can I use the device without the support columns?

Yes, the fan unit can be placed directly on a flat surface without a column. This allows it to be used as a table fan. Ensure the device is stable and the rear grille is properly fixed.

Congratulations on your purchase of the BONECO "Clean & Cool" Fan. These high-performance units seamlessly adapt to your needs. On any level they provide a high air purification function and a pleasant cooling breeze of cleaned air. This is possible thanks to the HEPA-ESP Filter and UV-C light. The perfect solution for healthy air.

In developing the BONECO "Clean & Cool" Fan, we focused on creating the optimal combination of fan and purifier. This was possible thanks to the integration of the state of the art BONECO HEPA-ESP filter into our high performance Fans.

START-UP

Insert the connector piece into the base.

Set the fan unit onto the connector piece.

Remove the HEPA-ESP Filter from its separate packaging.

Push it in until you feel a noticeable click.

8 Close the fan unit again with the back grid.

Plug the power cord into a power outlet.

10 Adjust the output using the control.

Make sure to set the grid correctly as the device will otherwise not turn on.
Please note that when turning on the fan for the first time or after it has not been used for some time you might hear a slight crackling noise for the first few minutes. This is the HEPA-ESP filter gaining an electrical charge which allows it to function as a highly efficient air filter.

BONECO F220CC and BONECO F230CC are only different in that the BONECO F230CC includes a second connector piece.
You can use the fan unit with one, with a second or without connector pieces. It can be customized to your needs.

HANDLING

HANDLING

All BONECO "Clean & Cool" Fans are designed for easy handling. The output is adjusted in four levels using a single control: 0 > I > II > III > III

ALIGNMENT

The fan unit can be manually tilted 270 degrees.

The fan unit does not rotate a full 360 degrees.

HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT

All electrical components are completely integrated in the connector. Therefore, you can adjust the height at any time by adding connector pieces or by pulling them off after pressing down the button to unlock them.

For safety reasons, a maximum of two connector pieces can be used at once for the CO F230CC and a maximum of one for the CO F220CC.

NOTES ON OUTPUT

All BONECO "Clean & Cool" Fans are equipped with a high-performance fan that can move large amounts of air. Making use of this feature: Guide the air in a specific direction to achieve an uniform room climate. The following examples illustrate how to do this.

AIR-CONDITIONING SYSTEM (AC)

An air conditioner distributes temperature in various ways. Use the BONECO "Clean & Cool" Fan to move the warm air towards the air-conditioning system. This can be done directly or indirectly via air circulation, as shown in this image.

MULTIPLE FLOORS

In the summer, it can become hot and muggy on the upper floors. The powerful BONECO "Clean & Cool" Fan directs the cool air from the ground floor to multiple floors achieving a uniform temperature.

FRESH AIR

The BONECO "Clean & Cool" Fan helps you achieve better ventilation indoors. If cross-ventilation is not created, guide fresh air directly from the window into the desired room.

ROOMS WITH HIGH CEILINGS

In air-conditioned rooms with high ceilings, the cold air sinks to the floor while the warm air rises to the ceiling. Turn the BONECO Fan straight up for an air-shower sensation.

CLEANING THE HEPA-ESP FILTER

REMOVING THE FILTER

1. Make sure the device is unplugged.
2. Tilt the fan downwards and remove the back grid.

1. Use both hands to push in the locking mechanism of the HEPA-ESP filter lightly so it can be removed from the device.

CLEANING BY HAND

1. Use PH-neutral detergent (10 g / 1000 ml) in 40 °C water to wash.
2. After washing, rinse with clean water, and dry with a clean soft cloth.
3. Leave the filter in dry place for at least 5 hours to make sure it is completely dry before putting it back into the fan unit.

CLEANING BY DISHWASHER

Do not wash the Filter together with dishes or materials containing fat and grease.
Only use PH-neutral cleaning detergents suitable for your dishwashing machine.
Set the cleaning temperature not higher than 70 °C.
Only wash for one wash cycle and for no longer than 2 hours (including the drying).

1. Put the Filter into the dishwashing machine.
2. Take out the filter from the dishwashing machine, and check for damages or deformations to the Filter. Do not reinsert a damaged Filter into the device.
3. After washing always check if the filter is completely dry. If necessary, leave the filter in a dry place for up to 5 hours to ensure it can completely dry before reinserting it into the fan.
4. Always let the filter cool down to room temperature before putting back into the fan unit.

REINSERTING THE FILTER

1. Reinsert the filter until the locking mechanism has clicked in securing the filter in the device.

1. Close the fan unit again with the back grid. Make sure the back grid is set it correctly as the device will otherwise not turn on.

TROUBLE SHOOTING

With regular use, the filter should be cleaned at least once every 2 weeks. After some time without cleaning, the filter can give off a continuous clicking noise. When that happens it is necessary to clean the filter according to the cleaning instructions.

CLEANING

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Always unplug the BONECO "Clean & Cool" Fan before you begin cleaning! Failure to do so can result in electric shock and fatal injury!

Do not use alcohol or corrosive cleaning agents for cleaning.

CLEANING THE HOUSING

ALL BONECO "Clean & Cool" Fans are designed for low-maintenance operation, even after years of use. In most cases, a dry cloth can be used for cleaning.

If stubborn dirt is present, clean the housing using a damp cloth. Add a small amount of dishwashing detergent to the water.

CLEANING THE FAN BLADES

1. Tilt the fan unit upwards and loosen the safety screw.

1. Remove the fan blades and clean them with a damp cloth.
2. Put the unit back together by following the steps in reverse order.

When reattaching the front grid with the screw, pay attention to the position of the two half-circle marks on the front and make sure they form a full circle.

DISASSEMBLY AND STORAGE

Please note that the removable connector pieces are detachable. When moving the unit to a new location, disassemble the unit into the detachable parts, transport the individual parts to the desired location, and then reassemble.

Storage is easiest and most efficient when you use the original packaging. Store the BONECO "Clean & Cool Fan" in a dry place.

BONECO F220CC i BONECO F230CC razlikuju se samo po tome što je uz BONECO F230CC uključena dodatna spojnica. Ventilator možete upotrebljavati uz jednu ili dvije spojnice, kao i bez spojnica. Uredaj se može prilagoditi vašim potrebama.

SKIDANJE FILTRA

1. Provjerite je li uređaj isključen.
2. Magnite ventilator i skinite stražnju rešetku.

1. S obje ruke lagano pritisnite mehanizam za za ključavanje filtra HEPA ESP tako da se može skinuti s uređaja.

RUČNO PRANJE

1. Za pranje upotrebljavajte deterdžent s neutral - nim pH faktorom (10 g / 1000 ml) u vodi pri 40 °C.
2. Nakon pranja isperite čistom vodom te osušite čistom i mekom krpom.
3. Filtar ostavite najmanje 5 sati na suhom mjestu da se potpuno osuši prije no što ga vratite u jedi -nicu ventilatora.

ČIŠĆENJE U PERILICI POSUĐA

UKLANJANJE SMETNJI
