Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device. Cleaning and maintenance should not be carried out by unsupervised children. The vacuum cleaner is designed for dry and wet work. The vacuum cleaner must be kept under supervision at all times during operation. Follow the instructions contained in this man- ual before commencing work consisting in suctioning water or wet debris. Failure to observe them may result in an electric shock, which may pose a threat to the health and life of the user and bystanders. It is forbidden to suck wet debris other than water. Drawing in paints, oils, solvents, petrol and other fl ammable substances can lead to irreparable damage to the vacuum cleaner or its components, as well as present a risk of electric shock, fi re or explo- sion. Before changing the type of work, always empty and clean the vacuum cleaner tank and dry it. Debris remaining in the tank after previous work may disturb the work in the event of a change of its nature. Never draw in hot, glowing or burning objects. This can lead to fi re or explosion and expose the user to serious injury or death. The maximum temperature of suctioned waste must not exceed 40°C. The device is intended for use in closed rooms and should not be exposed to water, including precipitation.12
ORIGINAL INSTRUCTIONS Make sure that the mains parameters comply with the ones shown on the device’s name- plate before connecting the power cord plug of the device. Before each use, check the condi- tion of the device, including the power cord and plug. If any faults are noticed, do not use the device. Damaged cables and cords must be replaced with new ones at a specialist service centre. The protection rating specifi ed in the table with technical data will be ensured if the device will be connected to a socket with at least the same protection rating. Make sure that the power cord plug has been disconnected from the mains socket before carrying out main- tenance on the device. Keep the device out of reach of bystanders, especially children. Make sure that the device is out of the reach of bystanders, especially children also during operation. Move the device using the handle; do not move the device by pulling by the power cord. If the vacuum cleaner is used as a blower, it is forbidden to direct the hose outlet toward people and animals. Check the condition of the fl exible hose at regular intervals. Never use the vacuum cleaner if its fl exible hose is damaged.
OPERATING THE DEVICE
Preparing for operation Before fi rst use, install the wheels on the bottom of the vacuum cleaner tank. Press the pin of each wheel into the hole in the tank (II). Make sure that all wheels have been installed, are at the same height, and the pins are fully in the tank holes (III). The vacuum cleaner is equipped with a fl oat (IV), which cuts off the air supply every time the tank is overfi lled. Before starting work, make sure that the fl oat and the guides in which it moves are not damaged, are clean and ensure free movement of the fl oat. The fl oat operation is each time indicated by a louder motor operation and a decrease in suction force. Warning! It is forbidden to use the vacuum cleaner without an operable fl oat. The vacuum cleaner is equipped with two fi lters – sponge fi lter intended for dry and wet work and material fi lter for dry work only. The sponge fi lter is mounted on the fl oat housing (V). Make sure that the fi lter has thoroughly covered the fl oat guides. The material fi lter is placed on the tank edge (VI). Make sure that the edge of the fi lter adheres to the tank edge around the entire circumference. Warning! Always use the vacuum cleaner with the sponge fi lter installed. Use the material fi lter only when sucking dry debris. Place the cover of the vacuum cleaner on the tank edge so that it adheres to it along its entire circumference. Press the cover against the tank with the latches (VII). Pay attention to the markers on the cover between which each of the latches should be placed. This is the only way to ensure suffi cient tightness between the cover and the tank. If the device is to be used as a vacuum cleaner, attach the suction hose to the inlet. The hose connection has tabs that should match the air inlet guides. Then rotate the end of the hose to lock it in the inlet (VIII). If the device is to be used as a blower, connect the suction hose to the air outlet. Connect the tube (IX) or the selected suction nozzle to the other end of the hose. It is also possible to connect the suction nozzle to the tube (X). The tubes can be joined together to obtain the length most suited to the type of work selected. The tank has an opening closed with a screwed cover in the lower part. When working on the pond, remove the opening cover and connect the drain hose (XI) instead. Attach the drain fi lter to the other end of the hose using a string. Starting the vacuum cleaner CAUTION! It is forbidden to use the vacuum cleaner to vacuum hot ash. The temperature of debris drawn in by the vacuum cleaner must not exceed 40° C. The vacuum cleaner can operate in the continuous mode or in the automatic mode recommended for emptying the ponds. To activate the continuous mode, move the power switch to the position marked “I”. Now the vacuum cleaner works in the con- tinuous mode. To turn the vacuum cleaner off , move the power switch to the position marked “O”.13
ORIGINAL INSTRUCTIONS The automatic mode is activated by moving the power switch to the position marked “II”. The vacuum cleaner will start for approx. 30 seconds and then pause the operation for approx. 25 seconds. It will work in this cycle until it is turned off by moving the power switch to the “O” position. Working with the vacuum cleaner The vacuum cleaner has several suction nozzles, which facilitate work. The wide brush nozzle is used to vacuum hard fl oors taking up a large space and short-pile carpets. The round brush nozzle is used to vacuum small areas; it can also be used to vacuum furniture. The narrow suction nozzle is used to clean places too small to be cleaned with the other suction nozzles. The pond suction nozzle is used to empty the ponds. The suction hose handle has a suction force regulator. Opening the regulator reduces the suction force by diverting part of the air out of the hose. The regulator should be completely closed during wet work and pond emptying. When vacuuming, press the suction nozzle only with the force necessary for cleaning. Excessive pressure can damage the sur- face to be cleaned or the suction nozzle. Using the vacuum cleaner as a blower Before using the vacuum cleaner as a blower, thoroughly clean the tank, clean the sponge fi lter, and remove the material fi lter. Connect the hose to the outlet, make sure that nothing obstructs the inlet and start the vacuum cleaner. Warning! It is forbidden to use vacuum cleaners as a blower to ignite the fi re. Using the vacuum cleaner to empty the pond Connect the suction hose to the vacuum cleaner inlet and connect the pond suction nozzle to the other hose end directly or using the tubes. Connect the drain hose to the drain hole and attach the drain fi lter at its other end. The entire length of the drain hose must not be positioned higher than the drain hole. Only this arrangement will ensure that the contents of the tank can be emptied through the drain hose. It is recommended to place the hose at least on a slight slope. The drain hose must not be bent at an acute angle, kinked or deformed in such a way that the contents of the tank cannot fl ow freely. The drain hose should be directed to the place where the contents of the pond will be poured. Immerse the pond suction nozzle in the pond and start the vacuum cleaner. It is recommended to start in automatic mode. However, if the vacuum cleaner is started in continuous mode, control the tank fi lling degree so that it is not overfi lled. In the automatic mode, the vacuum cleaner tank will be emptied automatically after stopping operation. Due to the debris that can be sucked in together with the water from the pond, check whether the tank is being emptied. The drain hole or hose may be clogged by debris. The purpose of the drain fi lter is to stop impurities that fl ow out together with the water from the vacuum cleaner tank. Check the status of the fi lter fi lling and, if necessary, stop the operation of the vacuum cleaner with the power switch and empty the fi lter. After fi nishing work, turn off the vacuum cleaner using the power switch, and then unplug the power cord plug from the mains socket. Proceed with the vacuum cleaner maintenance. Emptying the vacuum cleaner tank After fi nishing the dry work, remove the vacuum cleaner cover and check the tank fi lling level. Due to the tank capacity, it is rec- ommended to empty it after each use. This will be easier than emptying a full tank. After fi nishing the wet work, remove the vacuum cleaner cover. The debris remaining in the tank can be removed by tilting the tank. After emptying, clean the tank with a water jet and then dry thoroughly. Vacuum cleaner maintenance Caution! Before carrying out any maintenance works, make sure that the power cord plug has been disconnected from the mains socket. After each use of the vacuum cleaner, check the tank, cover gasket and air fi lters as described in the section: “Preparing for operation”. Clean the external surfaces of the vacuum cleaner with a stream of compressed air with a pressure of not more than 0.3 MPa. Pay special attention to the ventilation openings, both inlet and outlet – check them for blockages. Clean them with a stream of compressed air with a pressure of not more than 0.3 MPa, if needed. Do not use sharp, metal objects for cleaning the ventilation openings. Do not immerse the vacuum cleaner in water to clean it. Check the vacuum cleaner hose for damage after and before each use. It is forbidden to use a damaged hose. In the event of drawing in water or wet debris, clean the inside of the vacuum cleaner, the fl exible hose, the extension tubes and the attachments immediately after use. Dried debris can lead to irreparable damage to the vacuum cleaner or its components. The inside of the hose and extension tubes should be cleaned with a jet of water, after disconnecting them from the vacuum clean- er, and then left to dry completely. Remove heavy soiling from the housing with a soft cloth. Never immerse the vacuum cleaner cover in water or any other liquid. Do not point the water jet at the vacuum cleaner cover. Clean the vacuum cleaner fi lters with clean water. All fi lters should be completely dried before installing them in the vacuum cleaner.14 ORIGINALANLEITUNG
