Frequently Asked Questions - WX175.2 WORX

Why doesn't the drill work when I press the trigger?
The forward/reverse switch located above the trigger is probably in the center position (locked). Slide it left or right, then press the trigger. (See Fig. B)
Why does the drill stop before the screw is fully tightened?
Check the position of the torque adjustment ring (between the chuck and body). Position 1 is the lowest torque, position 18/22 is the highest. The drill symbol provides maximum torque. Adjust the ring to a higher setting.
Why can't I insert the battery into the charger?
The battery only inserts in one direction. Rotate it until it slides in freely; the red indicator should light up to indicate charging.
What are the causes of battery runtime differences?
Incomplete charge/discharge cycles or prolonged storage can reduce runtime. After several full cycles, runtime may be restored. Severe working conditions (large screws in hard wood) drain the battery faster. Do not recharge below 0°C or above 45°C.
How do I change the direction of rotation?
Use the forward/reverse switch above the trigger. Push it left for forward rotation (tightening), right for reverse rotation (loosening). Never change direction while the chuck is rotating.
How do I select the speed?
The drill is equipped with a two-speed control. Slide the selector: low position (1) for high torque and low speed (0-600 rpm), high position (2) for high speed (0-2000 rpm). Adjust speed to the material and drilling diameter.
What is the purpose of the torque adjustment ring?
It allows you to set the tightening torque to avoid damaging screws or material. Turn the ring to a number (1 to 18) for increasing torque, or to the drill symbol for maximum torque (drilling).
What does the rapid flashing of the LED indicator mean?
The protection system cuts power in case of overload, overheating, or low battery. Release the trigger and let the tool cool down. If battery is low, remove it and recharge. The indicator flashes for 60 seconds then turns off.
How do I maintain the drill?
Remove the battery before any maintenance. Clean the tool with a dry cloth; never use water or chemical cleaners. The ventilation slots must remain clean. There are no user-serviceable parts. Store in a dry place.
What accessories are included with the WX175.2 model?
The included accessories may vary depending on the version. Generally, the standard model includes a battery and charger. Some packages may contain a belt hook and bit holder. Check the list on the packaging or manual to verify exact contents.

LED LIGHT INDICATOR (See Fig. G)

Before operation, the LED light will be activated when the On/Off switch is slightly depressed, and will automatically turn off 20 seconds after the On/Off switch is released.

WARNING: To turn on the light, press the On/Off switch and make sure the Forward/Reverse Rotation Control is on right/left position.

The tool and battery are equipped with a protection system. When the LED Light is quickly flashing 60 seconds and turn off, the system will automatically cut off power to the tool to extend battery life. The tool will automatically stop during operation if the tool and/or battery are placed under one of the following conditions:

- Overloaded: The tool is operated in a manner that causes it to draw an abnormally high current. In this situation, release the Trigger Switch on the tool and stop the application that caused the tool to become overloaded. Then pull the Trigger Switch again to restart.

- Overheated: Under the condition above, if the tool does not start, the Tool and Battery are overheated. In this situation, let the Tool and Battery cool before pulling the Trigger Switch again.

- Low battery voltage: The remaining Battery capacity is too low and the tool will not operate. In this situation, remove and recharge the Battery.

PROBLEM SOLUTION

1. WHY DOES THE DRILL NOT TURN ON WHEN YOU PRESS THE SWITCH?

The Forward and Reverse Switch, which is on top of the trigger, is positioned in the lock function. Unlock the Forward and Reverse Switch putting it into the required rotation position. Push the trigger and the drill will start to rotate (See Fig. B).

2. THE DRILL STOPS BEFORE THE SCREW IS COMPLETELY TIGHTENED. WHY?

Verify the torque position of the Torque Adjustment Ring, you can find the Torque Adjustment Ring between the Chuck and the drill body. Position 1 is the lowest torque (screw driving force) and position 22 is the highest torque (screw driving force). Position 3 is for drill operation. Position 4 is for hammer drill operation. Regulate the Torque Adjustment Ring to a higher position to reach the best result (See Fig. E).

3. I CAN NOT FIT THE BATTERY INTO THE BATTERY CHARGER. WHY?

The battery can be inserted into the charger only in one direction. Turn the battery around until it can be inserted into the slot, the red LED Light should turn on when the battery is charging.

4. REASONS FOR DIFFERENT BATTERY PACK WORKING TIMES

Charging time problems, as above, and having not used a Battery Pack for a prolonged time will reduce the Battery Pack working time. This can be corrected after several charge and discharge operations by charging & working with your drill. Heavy working conditions such as large screws into hard wood will use up the Battery Pack energy faster than lighter working conditions. Do not re-charge your Battery Pack below 0°C and above 45°C as this will affect performance.

MAINTENANCE

Remove the Battery Pack from the tool before carrying out any adjustment, servicing or maintenance.

Your power tool requires no additional lubrication or

maintenance.

There are no user serviceable parts in your power tool. Never use water or chemical cleaners to clean your power tool. Wipe clean with a dry cloth. Always store your power tool in a dry place. Keep the motor ventilation slots clean. Keep all working controls free of dust. Occasionally you may see sparks through the ventilation slots. This is normal and will not damage your power tool.
