Measured values determined in accordance with EN 60745.

The specified vibration emission value was determined when sawing wood. When used for other applications, the vibration emission value may deviate. The specified vibration emission value was measured in accordance with a normed test procedure and can be used in order to compare one electrical tool with another.

The specified vibration emission value can also be used for an introductory evaluation of the influence.

CAUTION! The vibration emission value may fluctuate from the specified value during use of the power tool. These fluctuations will depend on the way in which the power tool is used.

Safety measures must be taken in order to protect the operator. As a result, the evaluation of the influence must be made whilst taking account of the actual conditions of use. (All parts of the operating cycle must be taken into account for this purpose. This also includes times in which the power tool is switched off and times in which it is switched on, but is running without load.)

CAUTION! A certain amount of noise is unavoidable when using this device. Ensure you carry out noise-intensive work during permitted times. Maintain the quiet periods and limit your work to the absolute minimum.

5 – General safety instructions for handling power tools

WARNING! Read all safety warnings and all instructions.

Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.

Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.

The term “power tool” in the warnings refers to your mains operated (corded) power tool or battery-operated (cordless) power tool.

1 Work area

a Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas invite accidents.

b Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create

sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.

c Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.

2 Electrical Safety

a Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.
b Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
c Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
d Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
e When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
f If it is not possible to avoid using the electrical tool in a damp environment, use a residual current circuit-breaker. The use of a residual

current circuit-breaker reduces the risk of an electrical shock.

3 Personal safety

a Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in serious personal injury.
b Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection.

Protective equipment such as dust masks, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.

c Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to power source and/or battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool. Carrying power tools with your finger on the switch or energising power tools that have the switch on invites accidents.
d Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A wrench or a key left attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.
e Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the power tool in unexpected situations.
f Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts.

g Keep handles dry, clean and free from oil and grease. Slippery handles do not allow for safe handling and control of the tool in unexpected situations.

h If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used. Use of these devices can reduce dust related hazards.

4 Power tool use and care

a Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
b Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
c Disconnect the plug from the power source before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally.
d Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
e Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the power tool's operation. If damaged,

have the power tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.

f Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.

g Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with these instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the power tool for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.

5 Service

a Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
b To avoid hazards, damaged power leads must be replaced by the manufacturer or his customer service representative.

7 – Installation and setting

Pendulum action (P)

Meister Craft MMS 800 E - Pendulum action (P) - 1

The adjustable pendulum action (5) Figure 1 (P) of the saw blade (0 for hard

materials, up to 3 for soft materials) is

used in combination with a suitable hub stroke (H) and improves the adjustment of the machine to suit the relevant materials. At the same time, this also protects the saw blade, improves the rate of rejection of shavings and considerably reduces the formation of frictional heat. Switching to pendulum action is also possible when the machine is running. For recommendations with regard to device settings, see Figure 1.

Changing the saw blade (Figure 3)

Pull the saw blade locking lever (6). Remove any sawdust from the saw blade holder. Change the saw blade as shown in the diagram. Ensure that the guide pin of the lifting rod slots into the guide hole of the saw blade. It should not be possible to pull out the saw blade when the locking lever (6) is released.

Meister Craft MMS 800 E - Changing the saw blade (Figure 3) - 1

CAUTION! Disconnect the power cable prior to changing the e!

Setting the saw shoe (Figure 4)

Press the saw shoe locking button (9) and slide the saw shoe (3) lengthwise to the desired position. Release the locking button. To adapt or to provide a safe rest for the various materials, the angle of the saw shoe can also be modified.

8 - Operation

  • Switching on: Press the On/Off switch (1). The machine starts up with the lowest revolutions. Press down harder on the switch to increase the revolutions.
  • Switching off: Release the On/Off switch (1).

The On/Off switch cannot be locked for continuous operation.

  • LED working light To enable precise working even under bad lighting conditions, you can use the LED working light (10). The 2 LED lamps light up the cutting area (Figure 2).

9 - Mode of operation

Adapt the saw blade, the stroke rate and the pendulum action to the material. Remove foreign objects from the work piece.

Meister Craft MMS 800 E - - Mode of operation - 1

CAUTION! When working, always hold and guide the device by the style (7) and the additional handle (8).

The specifications in Figure 1d serve as orientation. We recommend carrying out test cuts on waste materials in order to determine the required device settings for the project.

Meister Craft MMS 800 E - CAUTION! When working, always hold and guide the device by the style (7) and the additional handle (8). - 1

CAUTION! Observe the safety notes!

Switch the device on, and move it towards the work piece to be processed. Place the saw shoe (3) on the surface of the work piece and saw the material with even pressure and feed. If the saw blade becomes trapped, turn the device off immediately. Use a suitable tool to open up the cut a little and remove the device. When you have finished working, switch off the machine and only put it down when it has come to a complete standstill.

Meister Craft MMS 800 E - CAUTION! Observe the safety notes! - 1

CAUTION! After working with a low stroke rate for a long period me, operate at maximum solutions in idle mode for about

three minutes to allow the machine to cool down.

CAUTION! When sawing metal, and steel in particular, regularly cooling breaks should be taken in order to allow the saw blade to cool, or brush the blade with a cutting oil! This will considerably increase the durability and edge retention of the blade.

Sawing without pilot hole (Figure 5)

If you need to make a cut in a work piece and it is not possible to make a test hole, set the pendulum action to 0, release the saw shoe, push it right back and lock into place. With the saw blade in a tipped machine position and the machine running, careful guide it across the work piece (a). As soon as the work piece has been sawn through, continue working with the machine in the normal position (b).

CAUTION! Such usage is only possible with short blades and soft materials, such as soft wood or insulation materials.

Sawing flush (Figure 6)

When used in conjunction with elastic bi-metal blades (not included) you can, for example, cut projecting elements (water pipes etc.) directly flush with the wall. Place the saw blade up directly against the wall and use lateral pressure on the machine to bend it until the saw shoe (3) lies against the wall. Switch the machine on and apply constant, lateral pressure while sawing off the work piece.
