Precise and easy to use, the BABY NOSE VACUUM is an electric nasal aspirator for domestic use. Apart from its powerful suction, this nasal aspirator keeps your baby’s nose clean and clear. Compact in size, the BABY NOSE VACUUM has two silicon nozzles making it easier and safer to use, both at home or when out and about. • The aspirator is designed to clean/extract nasal secretions only. Do not use the device for purposes other than those stated in these instructions for use.

• This equipment is not intended for use by people, including children, with limited physical, sensory or mental abilities, or by people lacking experience or knowledge, unless they are supervised or have been instructed beforehand on how to use the equipment by someone responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to make sure they do not play with the device.

• Always keep the “BABY NOSE VACUUM” away from heat sources such as stoves, radiators, etc.

• Do not use this device in a room in which aerosols (sprays) are used or in a room in which oxygen is administered.

• Do not expose the “BABY NOSE VACUUM” to direct sunlight.

• Do not drop the device and do not use it if it is damaged.

• This device must be used at an ambient temperature between -20°C et 35°C.

• Do not expose the nasal aspirator to electric shocks.

• Do not expose this nasal aspirator to extremes of temperature above 50°C or below -20°C.

• Do not use the device if the relative humidity is above 85%.

• Do not wash the device with water or any other liquid. For further information, consult the maintenance instructions in this manual.

• This device is designed for domestic use only. Consult a doctor if the user is su ering from a nasal infection.

• If there is a problem with your device, please contact your reseller.

• Do not try to repair the device yourself. Take it back to your reseller.

• Replace the batteries whenever the power and/or suction noise weaken when the device is being used.

• It is recommended that the batteries be removed from the device whenever you are not using it for a prolonged period of time.

• Please use only those suction nozzles supplied with the BABY NOSE VACUUM. No other nozzle should be used with the device.4 Version 1 - 02/04/2013 FEATURES

REPLACING THE BATTERIES

1. Open the battery compartment (8) on the main unit of the BABY NOSE VACUUM.

2. Insert two 1.5 AA batteries (not supplied), matching the polarities.

3. Replace the protective cover.

To avoid accidents and misuse, keep the batteries out of the reach of children. Please dispose of used batteries in the appropriate waste collection bins. To prevent environmental pollution, do not simply discard batteries.

INTRODUCTION AND OPERATION

1. Place the suction nozzle (1 or 2) in the nostril according to the amount of your baby’s nasal secretions.

The short nozzle is used for thicker secretions, the long nozzle for thinner secretions.

2. Press the ON (7) button to extract the nasal secretions.

3. Keep the nostril vertical when using the aspirator so that it works e ciently.

4. Press the OFF (7) button when you have nished.

5. After using the device, the nasal secretions are contained in the collector bowl (4).

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

• The product’s main unit should not be washed with water or any other liquid. It is strongly recommended that you wipe the device with a dry cloth and keep it clean.

• The collector bowls, suction nozzles and silicon seal can be sterilised and should be cleaned using boiled water for approximately 3 minutes. To do this, detach the di erent components as shown on the diagram and clean them. Make sure that the various components are completely dry before replacing them on the BABY NOSE VACUUM. Note: The suction nozzles must be cleaned between each use of the BABY NOSE VACUUM. To do this, detach the di erent components as shown on the diagram and clean them using boiled water. ADVICE REGARDING THE DISPOSAL OF WASTE

• All the packaging is composed of materials that pose no hazard for the environment and which can be disposed of at your local sorting centre to be used as secondary raw materials. The cardboard may be disposed of in a paper recycling bin. The packaging lm must be taken to your local sorting and recycling centre.

• When you have nished using the device, please dispose of it in an environmentally friendly way and in accordance with the law. Prior to disposal, please remove the battery and dispose of it at a collection point so that it can be recycled. Please note: under no circumstances should spent batteries be disposed of with household waste!!! LIMITED WARRANTY LANAFORM® guarantees this product against any material or manufacturing defect for a period of two years from the date of purchase, except in the circumstances described below. The LANAFORM® guarantee does not cover damage caused as a result of normal wear to this product. In addition, the guarantee covering this LANAFORM® product does not cover damage caused by abusive or inappropriate or incorrect use, accidents, the use of unauthorized accessories, changes made to the product or any other circumstance, of whatever sort, that is outside LANAFORM®’s control. LANAFORM® may not be held liable for any type of circumstantial, indirect or speci c damage. All implicit guarantees relating to the suitability of the product are limited to a period of two years from the initial date of purchase as long as a copy of the proof of purchase can be supplied. On receipt, LANAFORM® will repair or replace your appliance at its discretion and will return it to you. The guarantee is only valid through LANAFORM®’s Service Centre®. Any attempt to maintain this product by a person other than LANAFORM®’s Service Centre will render this guarantee void.
