IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

1. Read all instructions carefully.
2. This appliance may only be connected to the same main voltage as shown on the rating plate.
3. To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not immerse or rinse housing, cord or plug in water or other liquid.
4. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used near children.
5. Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning.
6. Do not contact any moving parts while the appliance is operating.
7. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its authorized service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid hazard & damage to the unit.
8. The use of attachment or accessories which are not supplied with the appliance are not recommended. This could result in electrical shock or injury or permanent damage to the appliance.
9. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot surface.
10. Do not use the appliance for other than intended household use.
11. Switch off the appliance before changing accessories or approaching parts, which move in use.
12. The appliance is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons without supervision. Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
13. This appliance is for household use and may be plugged into any AC electrical outlet (ordinary household current). Do not use any other electrical outlet.
14. Keep hands and utensils away from moving blades while processing food to reduce the risk of severe injury to persons or damage to the food chopper. A scraper may be used but must be used only when the food chopper is not running.
15. Blades are sharp. Handle carefully.
16. This appliance is intended for processing small quantities of food for immediate consumption. This appliance is not intended to prepare large quantities of food at one time.
17. To reduce the risk of injury, never place cutting blade on base without first putting bowl properly in place.
18. Be certain the cover is securely locked in place before operating the appliance.
19. Do not attempt to defeat the cover interlock mechanism.
20. Keep hands and utensils out of container while blending to reduce the risk of severe injury to persons or damage to the blender. A scraper may be used but must be used only when the blender is not running (does not apply to an acceptable scraper integral with the appliance).
21. Never feed food by hand. Always use food pusher

HOW TO USE

1. Before first use, wash cover, bowl, and blade in hot soapy water. Blade is sharp, handle carefully. Rinse and dry.
2. Read "chopper tips".
3. Make sure copper is unplugged. Lock bowl onto base by aligning tabs on bowl with slots in base. Turn clockwise. See illustration.

1. Place blade in bowl over center shaft. Turn until blade slips down to bottom of bowl. Blade is sharp, handle careful.
2. Place food in bowl.
3. Place cover on bowl and turn cover clockwise to lock, aligning arrows.

1. Plug into electrical outlet. Press "ON/PULSE" button to process. To turn off, release button. Do not remove cover until blade has stopped turning.
2. Remove cover. Unlock bowl by turning counterclockwise. Remove bowl from base. Carefully remove blade. Blade is sharp and handle carefully.

Note: If chopper does not start: review the steps in "how to use" to make sure the bowl and cover are both in the lock position.

CHOPPER TIPS

1. The bowl has a capacity of 2 cups. For liquid ingredients do not exceed 1 cup. For others do not exceed 1 1/2 cups.
2. For more control, process by pressing the "ON/PULSE" button briefly then releasing. Check consistency and continue if desired.
3. Tear bread into pieces, then process to make breadcrumbs. Bread crackers or cookies into pieces, then process into crumbs for use as recipe ingredients or piecrusts.
4. To chopper carrots, celery, mushrooms, green pepper, or onion, cut into 1/2 inch chunks and place in bowl. This will result in more uniform consistency.
5. Do not process raw or cooked beef, meat etc..., cheese, coffee beans, whole squares of baking chocolate, or whole, hared spices in the chopper. This could damage the chopper.

HOW TO CLEAN

1. Wash cover, bowl and blade in hot soapy water. Blade is sharp, handle carefully. Rinse and dry. Cover, bowl and blade may also be washed in top rack of automatic dishwasher.
2. Reassemble for safe storage.
3. To clean the base, wipe with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleansers. Do not immerse base in water.

GUARANTEE

This product is guaranteed for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship. Under this guarantee the manufacturer undertakes to repair or replace any parts found to be defective, providing the product is brought back to the purchase address. This guarantee is only valid if the appliance has been used in accordance with the instructions, and provided that it has not been modified, repaired or interfered with by any unauthorised person, or damaged through misuse.

This guarantee naturally does not cover wear and tear, nor breakables such as ceramic items, bulbs etc. If the product fails to operate and needs to be returned, pack it carefully, enclosing your name and address and the reason for return and bring it to the address of purchase. If within the guarantee period, please also provide the guarantee card and proof of purchase.
