Batteries (not included)
Open the battery compartment and insert eight batteries, type R-14, UM-2 or C-cells, (preferably alkaline) with the correct polarity as indicated by the "+" and "-" symbols inside the compartment.
Batteries contain chemical substances, so they should be disposed of properly.
Incorrect use of batteries can cause electrolyte leakage and will corrode the compartment or cause the batteries to burst. Therefore:
Do not mix battery types: e.g. alkaline with carbon zinc. Only use batteries of the same type for the set.
- When inserting new batteries, do not try to mix old batteries with new ones.
- Remove the batteries if the set will not be used for a long time.
Installing batteries in the remote control
- Open the battery cover to remove it.
- Insert two (AAA) batteries (not included) correctly so that the + and - polarities match the polarity diagrams inside the battery compartment.
Note:
- About half a year of normal operation can be expected when using the general batteries.
- When the batteries are exhausted, the commander should no longer operate the system. Replace both batteries with new ones.
- When the commander will not be used for a long time, remove the batteries to avoid damage caused by battery leakage and corrosion.
- Avoid keeping the commander in extremely hot or humid locations.
- There should be no obstacles between the remote control and the remote sensor and they should be kept within 30^ ranges.
- The remote control's operating distance is about 0.2 m to 6 m away from the remote sensor.
To prevent sound from skipping (Anti-Skip System)
The ESP (electronic shockproof protection) system applies semiconductor memory to prevent aborting while playing when the machine is subjected to external force.
That means the ESP function is already turned on.
The ESP function CD/MP3 is automatically activated whenever the player is used for playing CD/MP3 discs.
- CD ESP time is about 2 seconds.
- MP3 ESP time is about 5 seconds.
Note:
When using the ANTISHOCK functions, the battery power consumption increases because the disc rotates faster than normal and the dynamic memory is active.
While the ANTISHOCK function provides continuous sound output when the unit is subjected to shock or vibration, it will not correct errors arising from the use of defective, scratched or dirty discs.

Precautions & general maintenance
- Place the set on a hard and flat surface so that the system doesn't tilt.
- Do not expose the set, batteries or CDs to humidity, rain, sand or excessive heat caused by heating equipment or direct sunlight.
- Do not cover the set. Adequate ventilation with a minimum gap of 6 inches between the ventilation holes and surrounding surfaces is necessary to prevent heat build-up.
- The mechanical parts of the set contain self-lubricating bearings, so no extra oil is required.
- To clean the set, use a soft dry cloth. Do not use any cleaning agents containing alcohol, ammonia, benzene or abrasives as these may harm the housing.
CD player and CD handling
- The lens of the CD player should never be touched!
- Sudden changes in the surrounding temperature can cause condensation to form and the lens of your CD player can cloud over. Playing a CD is then not possible. Do not attempt to clean the lens but leave the set in a warm environment until the moisture evaporates.
- Always close the CD door to keep the CD compartment dust-free. To clean, dust the compartment with a soft dry cloth.
To clean the CD, wipe in a straight line from the centre towards the edge using a soft, lint-free cloth. Do not use cleaning agents as they may damage the disc. - Never write on a CD or attach any stickers to it.
