- WARNING: After use, do not touch the keep-warm plate, as it is subject to residual heat. Be sure to handle only the glass jar's handle during heating and until it cools down.
- This appliance may be used by children aged at least 8 years, provided they are supervised and have been given instructions on using the appliance safely and are fully aware of the dangers involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be performed
by children unless they are older than 8 and are supervised by an adult.

- The coffee maker shall not be placed in a cabinet when in use.
- Before plugging the appliance in, make sure that the power it uses corresponds to your electrical supply system and that the outlet is earthed.
- Any error in the electrical connection will negate your guarantee.
- Unplug the appliance when you have finished using it and when you clean it.
- Do not use the appliance if it is not working properly or if it has been damaged. If this occurs, contact an authorized service center.
- All interventions other than cleaning and everyday maintenance by the customer must be performed by an authorized service center.
- The power cord must never be close to or in contact with the hot parts of your appliance, near a source of heat, or over a sharp edge.
- For your safety, only use the manufacturer's accessories and spare parts designed for your appliance.
- Do not pull on the cord to unplug the appliance.
- Never put your coffee jug in a microwave oven, on a flame, or on electric cooking plates.
- Do not fill the appliance with water if it is still hot.
- All appliances are subject to strict quality control procedures. These include actual usage tests on randomly selected appliances, which would explain any traces of use. Always close the lid when running the coffee maker.
- Do not brew coffee if the carafe already has coffee in it.
- To prevent any overflow, the carafe must be placed on the heated base of the coffee maker, otherwise there could be some overflow of hot water or hot coffee.
- The coffee maker becomes very hot during the infusion cycle. Please handle it with care.
- Do not disassemble the appliance.
- Do not use the jug without the lid.
- Do not pour hot water in the tanks.
- The coffee-maker shall not be placed in a cabinet when in use.
USE
Before using for the first time
- Use your filter coffee maker without coffee the first time using the equivalent of a jug of water to rinse the circuits.
Making coffee
- Use only cold water.
- Do not exceed the maximum water level indicated on the tank.
- This coffee maker is equipped with a drip stop so that you can serve coffee before the cycle ends. Replace the jug immediately in order to avoid overflowing.
- Wait a few minutes before you make coffee a second time.
Programming
Setting the time
- Plug in the coffee maker. The LCD screen (d) will display AM 12:00 and flash for a few seconds.
- Press the H button to set the hour. You may press it repeatedly, or hold it down for faster progression.
- AM indicates morning hours, and PM indicates afternoon and evening hours.
- Once you have set the hour, press the MIN button for minutes and follow the same procedure.
- Once the minutes are set, wait for the flashing to stop and the set time will be validated. Otherwise, press the (j) button once.
- The programming will have to be repeated in case of a power outage or if the coffee maker is unplugged.
- PLEASE NOTE: You can set or adjust the time at any moment. Hold the button down for at least 3 seconds. Once the time flashes on the screen, you may adjust the time using the H and Min buttons.
Program mode functioning
- To program your coffee maker, press the PROG button once.
- Set the hour and minutes according to the time you wish your coffee maker to start (refer to "Programming" above).
- Validate the set time by pressing the PROG button once more.
- The screen will display the set time and the green light signal (I) will turn on.
- In order to display the current time again, briefly press the \(\mathbb{O}\) button.
- At the set time, the red light signal will turn on and the coffee maker will start.
WARNING: The set program is automatically deactivated at the end of the coffee cycle; however, the set time is saved. Reactivate the set program every day by pressing the PROG button. To set a different time, please refer to the paragraph "Using the appliance in the Program Mode".
It is possible at all times:
- Turn your coffee maker ON or OFF by pressing the \(\bigcirc\) button.
- Cancel the programming by pressing the PROG button for 2 seconds. When you do so, the green light signal (I) will turn off.
- To reactivate the program on your coffee maker, press the PROG button once.
- To change the set time, press the PROG button once more.
Manual functioning
- Press the \(\odot\) button. The red light signal will turn on and the coffee maker will start functioning.
- Press the \(\odot\) button once more to stop functioning.
PLEASE NOTE
- Whether you use your coffee maker manually or in the program mode, it will turn off automatically about 30 minutes after the end of each cycle.
- During those 30 minutes, your coffee will be kept warm, at the right temperature.
- When your coffee maker is switched on, it produces a single "beep" and produces two "beeps" when it is switched off (depending on model).
CLEANING
- To dispose of the used coffee grounds, remove the filter from the coffee maker.
- Unplug the coffee maker and let it cool down.
- Clean with a damp cloth or sponge.
- Do not clean the appliance while it is still hot.
- Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
- None of the coffee maker parts should be put in the dishwasher.
Descaling
You can use:
- Descale your coffee maker every month or every 40 cycles. -a packet of descaling agent diluted in two large cups of water. -or two large cups of commercially available white vinegar which can be purchased in hardware stores.
- Pour into the tank (b) and turn on the coffee maker (without coffee).
- Let the equivalent of one cup pour into the jug, then turn the coffee maker off.
- Allow the liquid to stand for one hour.
- Restart the coffee maker and let the rest of the liquid pass through to the jug.
- To rinse, run the coffee maker 2 or 3 more times with the equivalent of one glass jug of water.
The guarantee does not cover coffee makers that malfunction or cease to operate because they have not been regularly descaled.

The Guarantee**
TEFAL/T-FAL guarantees this product against any manufacturing defect in materials or workmanship during the guarantee period within those countries*** as stated in the attached country list, starting from the initial date of purchase or delivery date. The international manufacturer's guarantee covers all costs related to restoring the proven defective product so that it conforms to its original specifications, through the repair or replacement of any defective part and the necessary labour. At TEFAL/T-FAL's choice, an equivalent or superior replacement product may be provided instead of repairing a defective product. TEFAL/T-FAL's sole obligation and your exclusive resolution under this guarantee are limited to such repair or replacement.
Conditions & Exclusions
TEFAL/T-FAL shall not be obliged to repair or replace any product which is not accompanied by a valid proof of purchase. The product can be taken directly in person or must be adequately packaged and returned, by recorded delivery (or equivalent method of postage), to a TEFAL/T-FAL authorised service centre. Full address details for each country's authorised service centres are listed on TEFAL/T-FAL website (www.tefal.com) or by calling the appropriate consumer Service centre set out in the attached country list. In order to offer the best possible after-sales service and constantly improve customer satisfaction, TEFAL/T-FAL may send a satisfaction survey to all customers who have had their product repaired or exchanged in a TEFAL/T-FAL authorised service centre.
This guarantee applies only for products purchased and used for domestic purposes and will not cover any damage which occurs as a result of misuse, negligence, failure to follow TEFAL/T-FAI instructions, or a modification or unauthorized repair of the product, faulty packaging by the owner, or mishandling by any carrier. It also does not cover normal wear and tear, maintenance or replacement of consumable parts, or the following:
- using the wrong type of water or consumable
- ingress of water, dust or insects into the product (excluding appliances with features specifically designed for insects)
- damage as a result of lightning or power surges

- mechanical damages, overloading

Consumer Statutory Rights
This international TEFAL/T-FAL guarantee does not affect the Statutory Rights a consumer may have or those rights that cannot be excluded or limited, nor rights against the retailer from which the consumer purchased the product. This guarantee gives a consumer specific legal rights, and the consumer may also have other legal rights which vary from State to State or Country to Country. The consumer may assert any such rights at his sole discretion.
**Where a product purchased in a listed country and then used in another listed country, the international TEFAL/T-FAL guarantee duration is the period for the country of usage, even if the product was purchased in a listed country with a longer guarantee duration. The repair process may require a longer time if the product is not locally sold by TEFAL/T-FAL in the country of usage. If the product is not repairable in the new country of usage, the international TEFAL/T-FAL guarantee is limited to a replacement by a similar or alternative product at similar cost, where possible.

Cleaning the coffee machine after each use.
EXPERT
If the coffee machine is not used for more than 30 minutes, it will automatically turn off. - After 30 minutes, the machine will enter standby mode. - When the coffee machine is turned off, it will emit a signal once and then turn off completely (standby mode).
CLEANING
- To clean the coffee machine, first remove the water tank. Then remove the coffee grounds container and empty it. Rinse with water or clean with a damp cloth. If the grounds are dry, do not rinse them. Do not immerse the coffee machine in water or any other liquid.
- The coffee machine's water tank and other parts should not be washed in the dishwasher.
Descaling
- Descale the coffee machine every 3 months or after 40 liters of water used.
The following items are needed:
- One liter of water mixed with descaling solution. - Two liters of clean water for rinsing, which can be purchased from the manufacturer.
- Add the descaling solution (b) to the water tank of the coffee machine (without coffee). - Insert the water tank into the machine and turn on the coffee machine. Let it run until the solution is used up. - Then, fill the water tank with clean water and run the machine again. - Repeat this process 2 or 3 times with clean water to rinse.
If descaling is not performed regularly, the coffee machine may malfunction or be damaged.
DO NOT USE ABRASIVE CLEANERS!
① The coffee machine contains materials that can be recycled or disposed of properly. Dispose of it at an appropriate collection point or recycling facility, where it will be handled in an environmentally friendly manner.

Before using the appliance, read the instructions and be aware of possible dangers.

Use only cold water. - Do not exceed the maximum level mark in the water reservoir. - The coffee maker is equipped with an anti-drip system, so you can pour coffee before the brewing cycle is finished. Replace the jug if you notice it may overflow. - Wait a few minutes before brewing again.
Programming
Setting the time
- Connect the coffee maker to the power supply. On the LCD display (d), 12:00 AM will appear, then it will blink for a few seconds. - Press the H button to set the hour value. You can press the button several times or hold it down for fast changing. - AM indicates morning time, PM indicates evening time.
- After selecting the hour value, press the MIN button to set the minutes. Repeat the procedure.
- After selecting the minute value, wait until the clock stops blinking; this means the time is set. Otherwise, press the (j) button once.
- You will need to reset the time in case of a power outage or disconnection from the mains. ATTENTION. You can set the time at any moment. Press and hold the button for 3 seconds or more. After the time starts blinking on the display, it can be set using the buttons h and min.
Use in programmed mode
- To program the coffee maker, press the PROG button once. - Set the hour and minute values according to the desired start time of coffee brewing (see section "Programming" above). - Confirm the selected time by pressing the PROG button again. - The set time will be displayed on the screen, and the green indicator (I) will light up on the device. - To display the current time again, press and release button ①. At the set time, the red indicator will light up, and the coffee maker will start working.
WARNING. The selected program automatically turns off after the coffee brewing cycle ends, however, the set time is saved. The program can be reactivated every day by pressing the PROG button. To set a different time, go to the section "Use of the device in programmed mode".
This can be done at any time:
Turn the coffee maker on or off by pressing the button - To cancel programming, press and hold the PROG button for 2 seconds. After this, the green indicator (I) will stop lighting. - To reprogram the coffee maker once, press the PROG button. - To change the time, press the PROG button again.

Do not immerse the device in water and do not place it under running water.
- WARNING. Improper use of the device may lead to injury.
- WARNING. After use, do not touch the hot heating plate, as it may cause burns. Until the device has cooled down, touch only the handle of the folded part.
- This device can be used by children aged 8 years and above if they are supervised or have been instructed on the safe use of the device and fully understand the danger. Children are allowed to clean and maintain the device only under adult supervision and if they are at least 8 years old.
- Keep the device and its cord out of reach of children under 8 years old.
