How do I descale the Moulinex PV1006?

Use a descaling solution suitable for Dolce Gusto machines. Fill the tank with water and descaling agent according to instructions, run a cycle without a capsule, then rinse with fresh water twice.

Can I use any brand of capsules?

No, the machine is designed for Nescafe Dolce Gusto capsules only. Other capsules may not fit or cause damage.

Why is my coffee not hot enough?

Ensure the machine is preheated by running a hot water cycle first. Also, check that the capsule is properly pierced and the water tank has enough water.

How often should I clean the machine?

Empty the drip tray daily, rinse the capsule holder weekly, and descale every 3 months or as indicated by the descaling reminder light.

What does the blinking red light mean?

A blinking red light usually indicates a need for descaling or a water tank error. Refer to the manual for specific codes.

Can I make hot water without a capsule?

Yes, lift the lever without inserting a capsule and press the button. The machine will dispense hot water for tea or other uses.

How do I adjust the cup size?

The machine has preset volumes for espresso (40ml) and lungo (110ml). To adjust, hold the button for 3 seconds during brewing to start programming, then press again to stop at desired volume.

Is the machine compatible with reusable capsules?

While some third-party reusable capsules exist, they may not ensure proper pressure or sealing. Use only compatible reusable capsules designed for Dolce Gusto.

What should I do if the machine leaks?

Check that the drip tray is correctly inserted, the capsule holder is closed properly, and no capsule is stuck. If leaks persist, contact support.

How do I replace the water filter?

The PV1006 does not have an internal water filter. Use filtered or bottled water to reduce scale buildup.

Your NESCAFÉ® Dolce Gusto™ machine has an auto shut-off function which will automatically turn off the machine after 5 minutes if it is not used. This feature helps you save electricity by reducing the amount of power the machine draws while it is not in use and helps protect the life of your machine.

However you can disable this function should you prefer that your machine stays on until you turn it off.

When the machine is off, press and hold the power button for 30 seconds until the machine turns off again (ignore light signals and wait until power button is no longer illuminated).

The auto shut-off function is now disabled and the machine will stay on when you next press the power button. You can turn off the machine simply by pressing the power button again.

Unplugging the machine will restore the auto shut-off function.

This product has been designed for domestic use only. In case of any commercial use, inappropriate use or failure to comply with the instructions, the manufacturer accepts no responsibility and the guarant will not apply. Use only NESCAFÉ DOLCE GUSTO capsules. If away for prolonge periods, on holiday, etc. the appliance must be emptied, cleaned and unplugged.

Mains voltage must be the same as details on the rating plate. Connect the appliance to power sockets with an earth connection. The use of incorrect connective voids guarantee.

Always use the appliance on a flat, stable, heat resistant surface away from sources of heat or water splashes. Do not place power cord close to heat, sharp edges, etc. Do not allow mains cord to dangle (risk of tripping up). Never touch cord with wet hands. Do not unplug by pulling the cord. Do not place the appliance on a hot surface (e.g. heating plate) and never use it close to an open flame.

Do not use the machine if it is not operating perfectly or if there is evidence of damage. In such cases inform the NESCAFÉ DOLCE GUSTO Hotline.

Patients with pacemakers or defibrillators: Do not hold capsule holder directly over a pacemaker or defibrillator.

.Before cleaning/care unplug the appliance and let it cool down. Empty and clean drip tray and capsule bin daily. Never clean/wet or immerse plug, cord or appliance in any fluid. Never clean the appliance with running water, do not hose it down and do not dip it into water. Never use detergents to clean the appliance.

Clean the appliance only using soft sponges/brushes. The water tank must be cleaned with a baby bottle brush.

After descaling rinse the water tank and clean the machine to avoid any residual descaling agent.

After use of the appliance always remove the capsule and clean the head according to the cleaning procedure. Users allergic to dairy products: Rinse head according to the cleaning procedure (see page 9). Dispose of used capsules along with general household refuse.
